I replaced the switch and everything seems normal now. Just that i traveled with the car and noticed that the kick down function wasn't as smart as it was before. Could it be that the switch I got isn't soo good?
Easy get a "knowledgeable" mechanic to adjust this cable (it goes to the gearbox)

Very easy, resurface brake rotors if still within safe limits.

Meanwhile there's a standard i have set which involves the customer bringing his own parts or I supply the parts. There is no middle ground. Do you go to toyota or Briscoe or mandilas or omoregie motors or automedics and ask the owner of the place to follow you to buy a part in the market? I can not please every one, there will always be dissatisfied customers.

This thread is stale and is not about me.

Stop derailing.

Well done Gazzuzz, impressed by this thread, your attempt at honesty and transparency. Wish I could drive my CRV down to your shop in Lagos.

I'm at my wits end, changed my AC system 3X since I bought the car and it has parked up again. Always a faulty condenser damaging the compressor or so. 3 different electricians, new condensers, a new compressor and later 2 tokunbo ones, new evaporator, new pipes, still something gets blocked or starts leaking and it's expenses again. Totally fed up. Nothing about it shows up on scans.

Can you give me the contacts to a good and reliably honest Honda mech or electrician in Port Harcourt who can be of help or who can give me some good advice?

Will totally appreciate it.
Easy one

U guys mean no other solution other than a new engine............
Running an engine dry causes damage to the bearings, crankshafts and camshafts and other movable parts. You will need an engine rebuild.

Engine rebuild and labour might be same price with replacing new engine.

If in lagos contact me. 08023251039

Thanks to all of you who by one way or the other have helped me to solve the issue of my car. Yes Tundex I've gotten the CAT below the car, I found out that they stole the content of it. And after scanning my car, I got an error code of EGR insufficient. And also Air/Fuel sensor circuit malfunction. But after fixing all these my car still consumes excess fuel. And I just went and scanned my car yesterday with these following error codes: P0105 manifold absolute pressure/barometeric pressure circuit. (2). P0401 Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected. (3). P1133 Air-fuel sensor circuit response malfunction. Thanks! Please i'll be extremely happy if anyone can advise me on how am going to solve this issues once and for all, because am just so frustrated now. Thanks as I wai
O2 sensor is still bad. M.a.p is not connected(fuel consumption will extremely high) Egr is not working.

Hello guys.
My 07 Accord is due for oil change. Problem is I just discovered that I've bin using the wrong oil spec. I believe the required is 5w20(which I've bin unable to lay my hands on) . Buh I've bin using Mobil 1 whch is 5w40. I got milemaster 5w20 but I'm v sceptical abt using it cos nobody I kno uses it and in not sure wot the outcome mite be.
Shud I continue using the available 5w40? Are there any untoward long and short term effects? Is milemaster a reliable brand.?
I don't wanna mess things up.

Cc. GAZZUZZ
Drive to any mobil filling station and buy 5w30 it's now available all over lagos.

Opel vectral 2000

Rough idling

No idling on cold start.

Loss of power.

Oil leaks.

Exhaust always leaking.

Main suspect is fuel pump and MAF, will service injectors, replace plugs, check fuel pressure, modify exhaust by attaching a flexible exhaust net near where it breaks all the time, will also check engine mounts.

Peugeot 307

Suspension noise from rear.

Coil springs taken down (just unbolt shocks they will drom easily)

Noise was caused by broken coil spring.

Also owner needs ground clearance improved, so will fit coil springs of larger diameter.

Pipe welding.

This pic is from a vehicle that the owner does not want on NL.

When welding a power steering pipe, weld using a pipe with a larger diameter between the original point where it broke, do not weld directly, it might cause. Blockage.

Accord 07

Washed and ready, no codes after driving 50km. Fuel gauge working after replacement.

Modified.

Forgot to add the mixture regulation short, it was caused by improperly set cable on the mix valve inside engine bay.

Car Talk › Re: Remotely Follow Your Vehicle Repairs Online by GAZZUZZ(op): 9:09am On Aug 08, 2015
Accord 2008

The lean mixture was caused by un-metered air getting into the intake. If you look closely I have put a bolt on the PCV hose outlet. The larger hose connecting the throttle body is not designed for this type of vehicle, its design is for a vehicle equipped with a throttle cable.

Also the lower front engine mount is not for this vehicle, if you look closely at the pics you will notice a switching valve that takes vacuum from the intake and it goes to the front engine mount, unfortunately the mount has been changed and vacuum leaks because there is no where to plug it in. The vacuum line will be blocked from intake source.

Coolant temp sensor 2 missing, radiator had been replaced with wrong type, and lower harness to sensor chopped off. Radiator will be replaced.

Fuel gauge (a potentiometer) will be replaced.

O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 will be replaced.

Transmission range switch will be replaced.

Air mix control for a.c climate control will be looked at. If faulty, recommendations will be made.
