So, I got the vehicle scanned today, the codes P0016 (crankshaft /camshaft position sensor) and P0350(ignition coil C) were pulled up. Both sensors have been changed and problems continue. I have been advised to get a new Engine Control Unit (Brain Box). Will try that tomorrow. I already want to sell this vehicle.

Calm down, what's the repair history? Was the head gasket ever changed?

check the VVTI sensor and the timing marks.

What vehicle? Problem could be from instrument cluster or from fuel gauge inside tank. Start by checking from tank.

P.s burn a reasonable amount of fuel by driving for a day or 2 before doing any work to avoid wasting a lot of petrol when fuel case is removed.

Fix first problem, which is the bank2 vcm stuck issue. Check vtech sensor.

When you are done check present engine ecm software version and post here.

Good day all, can someone help me with this .

i've been driving my 2006 Infiniti fx 35 for the past 5years and suddenly after changing my gearbox oil with the original nissan J fuild, i observed the Drive sign "" on the dashboard went blank, "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light came on and my throttling reduced but the engine keeps running. i parked and put the ignition OFF, it refuses to start when i wanted to put on the ignition, the drive D sign goes off, after like 10mins with many trys, it came ON and the engine starts and d car drives normal. this only happens when i'm on a high speed like 120/130km/h.
I scanned the car with my OBD2 device and i saw a U1000 error code.

anybody with a solution, cos i was told its not a gearbox problem.

There's a loss of power going to the transmission ECU or transmission ECU is faulty, it can be fixed. Contact me via my signature.

@ gauzz............i said that for convententional mineral oil....u say what i said is wrong.......so tell him the right thing.

my motto is oil is cheap...car engine isnt, leaving conventional oil in ur car upto 3 months when u take short trips isnt good.....i use mobil 1 on my car and i drive 3k miles in about 4 to 5 months......so i end up changing my oil at about 6 to 8months or when i hit 5500 miles.
but if i was using cheap mineral oil...i wud change it abt every 2months or 2k miles chikena

when giving advice on the internet...i try to err on the safe side by giving lower ranges...cos i know most people will try to add jara to whatever u tell them

With conventional oil colour of oil and viscosity would still look and feel new @ 1500miles.

Brand new torque wrench 25k. 19,17, 22. Sockets 1k each.


I don't see the point in buying a torque wrench if its just for bolting and unbolting wheels.

Buy it 50k and stick a v6 engine from another car into it. Simples. It will be extremely difficult to salvage that engine after all the trial and error that has been performed on it by kazeem. I am just being practical. If you can get the exact engine for that car from ladipo, then better.

The original engine of that car is not up to 80k.

Your engine ecm requires an update.

Also check and replace vtec sensor.

The vtec sensor controls the variable cylinder management.

As for the temp sensor code, its the secondary temp sensor located on lower side of radiator.

Because they didn't roll it back to read 65k km? Check the maintenance records in the vehicle, if its well maintained you have very little to worry about. The parts of that car are very cheap.

I think you should consider cleaning out your fuel tank and replacing fuel filters.

Sensor is facing radiator. Check harness for disconnection or melt by exhaust, open sockets and check for mosture or corosion (engine wash people) if all is ok replace 02 sensor. 12k toks 30k new oem denso.

Can't they think out of the box? Same boxy design.

you need to get ur car scanned.....i blv 1 0r 2 of ur oxygen sensors are bad n ur check engine light is on.

u r using wrong oil.........u can use mobil1 0w 40...if u can see 5w 30 as specified for ur car.....if u must use that wrong oil...change every 45 to 60 days or 1500miles...wch ever comes first

Did you buy half an exhaust? Or you just cut and welded somthing that looked similar? If you did cut and join Get ready to vists the panelbeater consistently each time you hit the base of your car.

Boazic, don't let the fine exterior fool you, that car has electrical or transmission problems or both. The engine is almost indestructable and very cheap. Iv bought cars like this in the past, I never exceed 150k(you can bargain lower). Suspension and electricals for that car are not easy to come by. But if you have a strong mind why not.
