Well below are a list of my complaints.

1. While they claim to carry out general checkup of the car, i have discovered that, they probably don't do so. Anytime i fail to complain about a certain fault, they never address it and do not inform me that they spotted such problem. For example, one of the cars has had a noise coming from the suspension for a while now. Since this noise started, the car has been in their shop for 2 scheduled maintenance checks, yet because we didnt complain, they also failed to mention it.

this is despite the fact that they claim that their Quality control unit checks each car before returning to the customer.

2. They charge an average of 31,000 to 35, 000 for each routine service, yet at the last visit, i discovered when the vehicle was returned that the brake fluid in the master brake unit was empty, upon further inspection i discovered it was leaking. On that same car, i also found that no coolant was added to the radiator.

So my point is, what is the meaning of general service and checkup if this things were not discovered. Am i paying 32,000 naira for just engine oil change ?

The last straw that broke the camel's back was when the car was sent over with some complaints. A quote for roughly 250,000 was sent over. Upon scrutinisation i discovered that a major complaint was not made by the driver. I called and asked what had been done to the car, i was told the car had been scanned and the quote contained all spotted faults.

how do you examine a car and fail to spot that the hand brake is no longer working

Abeg, I am tired of these guys and their charges. Who knows a better spot to fix kia's

Atleast 800k for purchase and extra 200k to keep for some polishing after purchase. I m still single but stays alone. I have a free accomodation. Please I need suggestions. Thanks.

The steering feel is lighter in modern cars. The weighty feel of the steering does not mean a car is safer nor does it mean the car is more 'balanced'. Hate jap cars all you want but remember that princess Diana died in a Mercedes benz.

My 2002 (V6 engine) Toyota Highlander has started to consume lot of fuel I use about 15littes for a journey 33 Km of (sango ota to oshodi).

@ house d engine has been partially installed, will b completed later today. Bt d mech. That introduced me to the guy dat sold the engine advised dat I shud use mobile XHP wen servicing d engine. Bt I normally use nissan engine oil. because d last tyme I used mobile XHP on d car some years back, it led to excessive smoking and bad rings. The mech. Said dat the nissan engine oil I normally use is too light for the engine. Pls guys wats ur take cos I dnt want to see or hear story dat touch again.

Every car produced has its target buyer. Some cars are produced for brute force, sheer torque and absolute power, you can't take them out always. Eg is Dodge Viper, corvette, Porsche carerra GT . If you think you can drive try it, it may end up taming you.

Some others are produced for folks who love serenity, ease, bliss, attention to details, meek calm and peaceful, graceful and elegant. Eg, Rolls Royce, Lexus, Mercs (non-amg trims)
Some are for folks who loves exquisite quality mixed with some bruteness. Just like diamonds in the diets. BMWs I'm not talking of 4 cylinders 1.8l I'm talking about M badges, AMGs, Etc.

Some want an everyday minimalist or even not minimalist but not too shouty and spoiling (either in power or luxury) Toyota, Honda, Nissan, VW.

Yet also cars are produced with age brackets, marital status, and financial strength etc in mind.
An A and B class Benz, City and Jazz Honda, Yaris Toyota are for young folks without much cash, based in city and commute daily.

C class, Civic, Corolla are for city, more luxurious than the young market target, they're for family especially young families or young people based in city.

E class, Accord, CAMRY et all are mid-sized executive sedans for office executives, family folks.
S class, Legend, Avalon etc is for senior executives, CEOs etc these are usually mid-aged to older folks. More serene but powerful.

Now, there's what we call entry level, mid level and flagship models.

Till 2015, any RX Lexus series was an entry level series suv. It was senseless to compare in with an ML or a GL. It competes with a GLK Benz and ZDX, audi Q3.
Now, there's an NX class lexus which fills up that gap.
An ML class, GX lexus series, MDX, Audi Q5 was a mid class target.
LX lexus series, GL series Q7 Audi is top of the range.

However, there's another twist.
Body size comparison.

An MDX, ML and RX (starting from Rx330 till date) are mid sized SUVs.
zdx, q3 Audi, rx300, glk series are compact CUVs,
But GL merc, LX and GX lexus series and Q7 are full sized SUVs.

Merc, acura, Infiniti, Porsche, BMW, lexus are luxury marque.
Toyota, Nissan, Honda (excluding some models),are mid class cars,
While cars such as Bentley, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Maybach are hyper luxury.

I'm sure you were probably not with them when they fixed the AC..
I saw pepper with those AC kasumus.. once they fix the mechanical parts they know how to fix and the AC is not working, next thing is to remove thermostat, if it still doesn't work, they connect fan to start working once the ignition is started...
If that doesn't work, their final solution is to start connecting wires... from fuse box straight to compressor...

This is what I use a battery tender junior sometimes when your battery gets discharged the alternator cannot fully charge it back so you need a trickle charger that will charge it back up slowly.It really works because I have had a fully dead battery recharged back to life in about 4 days

I discovered from my car manual that we used 5litres of oil to service my car instead of 6.1litres. Can I go ahead to add the extra 1litre since my car is beginning to flash the low oil pressure light.

Also the ATF fluid level in my car is below the normal gauge.
and am beginning to see the ATF/ temp light on my dash board. 
Please what's the best brand of automatic transmission fluid that I need for my toyota rav4 2006. And how do i know the original. The car is a 2months old Toks.
