Its not a drag race, your ability to get to maiduguri on time is key, if you like get a v12 no problem(you will fuel up many more times) your ability to get through checkpoints, bad roads, traffic,insurgents is all part of the race. Speed might not help in this race.

Yes i keep old parts , i have a parts dump at back of my house i dont like the idea though but what i do is i sell the car with all the used and spare parts. Its one of my strong selling points when i want to get rid of the car. The buyer sees a car with plenty parts in boot and feels the car is well maintained.
But in the case of this benz the radiator has a physical damage . The tyres are useless i sold them all 4 k. When i change the shocks 4 8k i will keep the old shocks,Am thinking of importing shocks at 6 5k from usa. I changed ac gas and added compressor oil. I use forte oil synthetic to service the car its 4 times better than mobil 1 accordin g to my calculation using my cars computer.
If you see the pic you will see the radiator at the back seat.

Does your cars computer calculate oil grade and viscousity?

If the engine depends on it, It will be good. Have you noticed the dismal failure of Toyota Siennas being used for transport. They are disappearing off the radar one by one. Reason number 1 is the gear box packing up. And it is recommended that for efficient transmission shifts, it is better to change the transmission fluid every 15000 miles or 1 year whichever comes first. But these transporters are not aware of this and as such, the gear fails on the road. Even Edegbe Motors that started using GMC Jeeps for inter state are always having gear failures on the highways. Why is it common? Because 15000 miles is just 2 weeks journey, at most 3 weeks and these folks will not dare change the fluid and what do you get? failed transmissions. Go to these newspaper houses, even though they cannot afford the Volvo for their operations, have a lot of vehicles that are unworthy to be on the road. After the first timing belt change at 100k, the subsequent belt change will be at every 6k or a new engine for which you are not even sure of the mileage and the state of the belt.

Bross I don de taya for you. Transsmission oil change can hit 60-80k miles if using original oil.

I will keep quiet on this issue I give up.

Get a cutting tool and cut out the rubber/plastic parts that don't allow it fit into the port on the car, ensure no pins are bent. Don't cut anything on the cars port.

There's nothing wrong with volvo, but there's every thing wrong with replacing timing belts at 6k miles. PunCh, guardian,vangard e.t.c trucks cover more than 6k miles every month! When you buy timing belts at 4k is where you have a problem. Good belts of high quality start from 8k to as much as 15k, and are good to go for over 60k miles (4cylinder engines).

The problem with the car is the timing belt. All volvo cars after 100k mileage must have the belts changed every 6k miles. Infact, it should be done at every service by also using Synthetic oil too. Make sure you give it to an expert that can set the timing belt properly

Do you have the equipment to test the knock sensors if its still alright and the fault codes P0325 and P0330 indicate malfunction circuit bank 1&2.

I will go by what lomomike said that I should check the wiring harness if it is OK. Can you confirm lomomike response to my questions.

Yes I have several equipment to test knock sensors. I also keep a stash of knock sensors cause its very frequent work. Check harness for corrosion or shorting.

2 sensors are bad, they are called knock sensors or if you like detonation sensors, when faulty they cause transmission failure in toyotas. Its more of a mechanical job than an electrical one, it involves striping the engine (intake out, water hoses out,) until you can see the knock sensors located in the belly of the engine. Testing a knock sensor before fitting one is important so you don't open up the eNgine twice or more. New sensors are expensive but reliable, but toks also last a long while (never installed one that failed)

Actually this kazeem thing has gone viral! I was at a friends place (jovids) and he was talking abt a customer that complained abt her shocks and when they were removed a lot of abnormalities were found nd she was notified and her reaction was "ALL THESE KAZEEMS NO GO KILL PERSON"

Scan the motor and post the codes here.

From the scan codes it will be easy to streamilne the faults causing high MPG. But before you do this find out how many liters you currently use mer mile or km, that way you can tell if it was worth the trouble or not.
