The info I asked about? Engine specs? Engine type presently in bay(v6/I4), transsmission type(auto/manual)? First thing we do is cost what it takes to restore to original specs without any swaps.

now, i want to buy the car from him because i read some couple of comments here on how Toyota engine can be fix to it...i spoke to a technician here in north regarding the replacement of the engine to toyota camry and he said is not possible infact if not because of my status they were trying to mock me.

Please more detail about the vehicle you intend buying.

Anything is possible, iv done a lot of swaps in the past, some were just for fun, others were necessary because the engine parts were not available and the vehicle body was in great shape.

What ever you do, don't pay until you have mapped out all the details of your intentions.

Now for swaps the minimum you will need are as followed.

Engine and transmission
Harness (wiring)
Compatible Cv joints
Engine/transmission ecms

The rest of the job are basically fabrication. If you are not technically inclined, you might get frustrated before the job is completed, cause there is no straight forward way to complete the job, you just overcome obstacles as they come until the swap is complete.

Have you checked for the engine in the market? A swap is very expensive as easy as it may look, and modifications may be irreversible, so b4 you jump into this project weigh the pros and cons.

A mobile policeman in Bauchi state shot dead his superior and former ADC to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Superintendent of Police, Chris Eza (pictured above), yesterday February 26th in Bauchi.

According to family sources, Chris Eza had gone out to get food at an eatery along Ahmadu Bello way around 9pm when he saw some police officers on patrol. On observation, he found out that one of them, the suspect, was not properly dressed and immediately cautioned him. The junior officer got angry and began to grumble for being told to dress properly.An angry Chris felt his action was unacceptable and warned the officer that he was going to disarm him if he didn’t take care. Instead of apologizing, the junior officer cocked his gun and threatened to shoot his boss.

He told Eza that if he came close to him, he would shoot. Calling his bluff, Eza moved towards the officer, who immediately opened fire. Other officers around rushed Chris to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) Bauchi where he was declared dead on arrival.

The officer has since been arrested and investigations into the motive for the killing is ongoing.

Experts please come to my aid! I bought a Honda Civic 1997 model (UK) and have been using it for almost 3 years now but I noticed that it doesn't accelerate like any other car. My mechanic looked into the engine side and screamed that the car was converted from manual to automatic!

Please what adjustment electrically must be done to accommodate the automatic gearbox and give it a normal kick down (acceleration) ?

Many thanks for that. From my great research skills. I totally agree with you with the head gasket. The car smokes(white smoke) heavily in the morning and I once had an overheating issue when the fan failed to spin. it stutters sometimes when trying to kickstart in the morning. how much does it cost to replace this? I hope its a simple procedure.

Simple if you know what you are doing.

Replace head gasket
Replace valve steam seals
Grind valves
Ensure timing is properly set.

The parts involved are very cheap, its more about the labour.

Good day house. please o I need advice before this mechs hinch my pocket. I have a 2007 accord that's currently giving me issues. I noticed the water in my radiator dries up completely every day I top it. took it to the mecho and he suggested I change the radiator, but before the change, the water in my reserve tank kept increasing and bubbling, so he took off the thermostat which I didn't agree to but the removal stopped the bubbling but with persistent lil shortage of water in the radiator and increase of water in the reserve tank. I also had difficulty in starting the car after the removal of the thermostat. So we replaced the radiator to a double cell one but this issue still persist with the thermostat totally yanked off, no sign of leakage at all. want to take it to another mecho but needs ideas of the real culprit. Advise needed please.

PS: this car has overheated before but the real culprit was the fan but this time around the temp gauge doesn't show any sign of overheating.

Pressure cap (Radiator cover) have it replaced. If that is fine go to a better workshop and conduct a pressure test, if it reveals nothing, then I'm afraid your head gasket is leaking coolant into the engine oil or combustion chamber.

Hello house, please help. I'm close to my wits end.
I bought a 9ja used 2005 corolla and was duly informed the AC is faulty. It blows fine when speeding but blows hot when in traffic or
parked.
I have changed the condenser, serviced compressor, changed air filter, confirmed there is no gas leak, reconnected fan to start working on startup but this problem persists.

Please recommend a reliable AC tech who knows his stuff if you know one. I'm on the mainland but I won't mind going anywhere so far the tech can fix my issue.

Change engine oil at specified intervals (5000-6000 miles) using manufacturer specifications (5W30-5W20) I'm really not certain which but its written on the oil cap, along with oil filter.

Don't patronise road side mechanics, look for one that is learned.

Buy you own personal hand held scanner so you can understand faults if the arise.

Do not remove your thermostat or connect your fans directly.

my vehicle (Mazda 626 1997) refused to start and i call a mechanic to see what happen,he told me to put it in neutral and press down the clutch before starting and when i did that,the vehicle started.what would have caused this? The cat that sleeps in your engine changed the wiring configurations, better pray and fast for 1week because who can know tommorow it might switch the brake and throttle pedal.

Vin numbers are longer than that, and contain alphabets, is probably a fake.

I'm not here to say I said so, but ur vehicle passed the gates without paying duty, it happens all the time. Now if you want to solve this problem you will have to pay custom duty again, (iv been there and done that on my vehicle and its very painful)go to their office without your vehicle and tell them your tale. I also have custom officer friends that can assist you if you are interested.

Meanwhile sultan raised a good point about the fuel preasure in the rails.

Another thing I'm considering is an immobilizer fault, seems you have a spark and no fuel supply, your vehicle has a diagnostic port, a scan should reveal the culprit, stop going about it the crude way.

Hello boss. Am about to bid for a 2008 corolla in my place of work. The car is grounded for like 2 years and am afraid it may have engine issues.

Although the few people I contacted claimed the engine to be in perfect shape.

Kindly advice on how much it might cost to bring up a 2 year grounded corolla 2008.

So I can weigh up my choices.

Finally would you advise I bid to buy it and at what amount would it be a barhain.

Note the car was used and later grounded by a bank.

When I want to buy a used car I'm really not too concerned with the engine, because it is easily replaceable, I ensure I get a car with a shap body free of dents with original paintwork and a neat inerior.

That being said, since its a bid it would be hard to advice blindly, add me up on my signature and share some pics with me of the vehiccle then I might be able to give some advice.

What was the point burning this car? It was stolen from an unlucky citizen and used as a mode of transport for boko instead of burning please check if it is carrying a bomb, and transfer it to the police so the owner can recover his vehicle, or worst case scenario convert it to a patrol vehicle.


Weldon nigerian army, too bad we had to wait till last minute before the ogas at the top decided it was time to end the war, a lot of lives would have been saved if the issue of insecurity in the north was not politicised.
