chiebube: Oga Gazzuzz, please elaborate. Your opinion is appreciated. This ride seems to be the most disliked in the nissan family. I may be wrong though. I never used one, just noticed all the guys who have one around here "north" have parked it in one garrage or the other and no one is even asking how much it costs as scrap. So I just assume its EVIL. |

Caleboha: I presently have a Rover 620si. I have the option of safely swapping it for a peugeot 406 wagon. Just wondering if its fashionable for a young man like me to own a wagon? In my youthful days I had a toyota avalon 98model, when I got married I sold it and got a peugeot 406 wagon v6 was in love with that wagon, sold her 2 years ago, I presently have 2 wagons a peugeot 406 E10 manual and a toyota avensis 7A-FE manual, still have regualr vehicles but wagons are a must in my fleet. As per your questions, peugeot 406 vehicles are very rugged vehicles and have excellent fuel economy, but very unforgiving to abuse. You have to religiously take maintenance very serious if you eventually buy one. |

Autos › No Matter How Clean It Looks Check Go Under And Check For Rust by GAZZUZZ(op): 9:21am On Oct 06, 2014 |
A friend of mine just got a vehicle, "clean" toyota sienna 1998 (o gbe goon) he came to the office to display his new baby, we took her for a spin she drove well a/c was chilling cabin was quiet no strange sounds all seemed fine, I happened to notice his abs light was on so I told him he had an abs issue and I would help him check it out over the weekend, long story short, I ran the scan, error was "left rear sensor open" I told my self this was easy would just check harness of sensor and if ok replace sensor open and shut case 30mins tops job would be complete. little did I know how my friends smile would change very soon. I placed the jacked underneath the car and started winding and I noticed the jack was just causing a dent in the body so I thought well minor rust, I removed the jack and placed it on the suspension and jacked it up, placed a support under the chassis and went straight to the abs sensor, I noticed a lot of rust in the suspension area, the brake lines, bolts, hangers for the abs harness were so rusty that they were hanging on to the harness instead of the other way around, fuel tank was rusty and was looking wet in one area, metal pipes leading to the tank were also rusty not just your mild rust I'm talking evil rust! I called him to come and see and he was shocked! Even the abs sensor bolt was so rusted and all the edges were smooth and the only way to replace it was replacing the entire hub. Long story short the car is parked at a dealers place now he has lost interest in the car after I educated him about rust. Niralanders before you buy ANY car as long as its not "brand new" please remove that big man attitude drive to a pit and inspect the bottom of that car in the absence of a pit, jack it up place a support beneath it that is capable of supporting the vehicles weight in case the jack slips, fold your sleeves get 2 floor mats and go and see the under of the car urself. If there's excessive rust, its not worth it, someone would end up buying my friends sienna and will think he got a good deal only to find out he has to chisel and cut and buy whole parts (e.g if he has a leaking exhaust today I'm sure he would have to change the entire exhaust) before any part under the car would come off when its time for replacement. Please let us pass this message on to friends so they don't fall into the same trap. Adetayomi: Please my car is Nissan Primera sport 2001 something with the ac on after driving for a while the rpm become unstable. Fluactuating and rev can go as high as 5000rpm please what could be the cause? Since your car is 2001 it can be scanned, please scan your vehicle, the high rpm can be caused by a stuck throttle cable, leaking vaccum from intake also a faulty IACV "idle air control valve" might cause it but I doubt it would get to as high as 5rpm if its iacv but still its worth looning at pic is attached for its location. https://www.damienparker.co.uk/images/IMAG0208b.jpg |

Its actually my first ride and I want to hv a good driving experience and what other things I should look out for when buying?. Thanks in advance With a camry v6 engine you are assured of more power, driving experience would be very good. v6 engines are very durable if well maintained but city driving gives very poor gas mileage, and also has poor re-sale value if I were in your shoes I would opt for the 4 cylinder version. |

Macmilla: Thanks. I know about the scanning. I've actually ordered for a wireless scanner but wanted to get more info here. The car idles a bit erratic a times but mostly steady. But the engine won't rev above 4000rpm (query limp mode) and much noticeable is that response to throttling is erratic. Most times the car acts like it's afraid and few times it acts as if something is pursuing it. I hope the problem is as simple as changing the TPS and not my gearbox. Looks like a vtec solenoid issue , scan and let me know |

Common to turn the key and start the car was an issue initially, then while accelerating you would see both hands at the base of the steering, while turning the hands would form a cross on the steering (instead of freeing one hand while the other turns it). Macmilla: Please, what are the signs of a bad throttle position sensor in a 2001 Accord? The engine idles rough, this is when the vehicle is in a stationary position and you get a rough feeling from the engine almost as if the vehicle wants to stall out. Finally you may find that the vehicle hesitates on acceleration. To make a proper diagnosis please scan vehicle. |

AT a time reference to Nigeria in global news and international affairs has been mostly about the unending killings by terrorists in the Northeast, the Ebola management seems to be shining some positive light on Nigeria and its medical personnel, some of whom paid the supreme sacrifice to ensure that Ebola was controlled.
In an effort to bolster the confidence of its people that Ebola would be contained in America, few days after a Liberian national was diagnosed with the deadly virus, the manner Nigeria handled its own patients is now being used by the US government as proof that the virus would be contained in America as well.
This is coming just as the Nigerian Ambassador in the US, Prof Ade Adefuye, assured Nigerian travelers to America that they would not be subjected to any form of medical screening on arrival at US airports.
Speaking late Friday afternoon at the White House at a hurriedly convened press briefing on the first Ebola case diagnosed in the US, top White House officials and US government health officials were pressed by journalists who pointed out to the failure of the Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where the Liberian patient went, but was not immediately diagnosed even though he had told the medical team in the hospital of his symptoms and that he had just returned from Liberia.
A White House reporter asked at the press briefing “Is nobody concerned that there were these breakdowns in Dallas? And are you really confident that there’s not going to be similar breakdowns elsewhere along the same line?
Responding the US Human Health Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell was the first to bring up the way Ebola was contained in Nigeria to reassure Americans at a press briefing beamed live all across the US and globally.
Said she “ we’re confident these processes will work. If you look at what happened in Nigeria in terms of the cases in Nigeria, what happened is we quickly activated — and CDC was a part of supporting the country of Nigeria both at the state and federal level to be put in place the things that it needed to put in place. We know it’s about detect, isolate, treat the patient, and do the contact tracing. Those are the steps. And now we see where we are with Nigeria in terms of the cases and them having moved through.”
According to the Secretary, who holds the office equivalent to the of Health Minister in Nigeria, the US will “continue to work on our education and continue to work with locals and put out more and more information, we put out more information and updated information. Whenever there is anything that we see that we can do a better job on communicating, we will do that.
Adefuye who issued his statement on the same day the US government officials addressed the press briefing also noted that “the U.S. government, especially the Department of Health, is very much impressed with the success achieved by the Federal, Lagos and Rivers State Governments in combating Ebola. The announcement by Nigeria that it will assist other African countries to combat Ebola has been well received by the U.S. government and public.
