jodeci: low tire pressure is not detectable on scanners. All about TPMS http://www.nissantpms.com/ If I may ask where did you get the replacement? There's a TPMS tol that detects it the TPMS is transmitting properly and there's also a battery inside the TPMS if it runs down it will not transmit. I hope you stil have the old TPMS it might come in handy very soon.
|
jodeci: The air inlet valve/nozzl had an issue and you know the sensor is attached to the tire, you cant replace the valve without replacing the sensor,i had to change the whole unit.I think you should contact nissparts for a new TPMS sensor/re-programing. |
This ur story get as e be. jodeci: Friends,i replaced one of the tire pressure sensors on one of my tires and since then the low tire pressure warning light has refused to go off from my dash. Was the there an error before you decided to change the sensor? Or you just decided it looked old and time for a change? I'm assuming the warning has been on for a while even before you changed it. Now how did you know which sensor to change? Long story short scan your vehicle and find out what's really wrong. |

igomen: Thanks GAZZUZZ, I wondered why no fault code for the transmission was captured by the scanner, I will try another scanner as suggested and report back.No engine errors in the codes you posted. All ABS related, mainly the pump.

Parts are pricy and hard to come by in nigeria. A friend has one and imports parts from the US including brake pads. |
igomen: The "OD off" light is flashing and the ABS light is on, on the cluster, so I decided to run a scan on it. These are the fault codes :For OD of blinking :this is a transmission fault, in most vehicles a solenoid that switches from normal to overdrive might be faulty. Run a scan that can read transmission faults for more information. For the other codes seems your abs pump is faulty. Check harness,ABS relays and fuses. |
Cars at 1.5million will make sence, if durable. |

gambus007: Thank you for the advice. With my little knowledge i believe the throttle control has bn damage.before now when the car is in ingintion the throttle control makes sound with little movement.now no movement no sound. definitely i need a new throttle control.my problem is the availability of the throttle control in Abuja.i got one in Apo(tokunbo)which the seller's price was too high.the price will buy complete engine frm lagos.i was discoverd and contact the man who sold the car to me.He gave me a number in ladipo which i purchased toks throttle control, infact he keeps sending different one becose the RPM was on high side(2000rpm).Where do i get the new throttle control?if gotten will the rpm go back to the normal rpm?pls i need your advice sir.your address in abuja. If you buy tokumbor or brand new your car will not idle properly until it. *IT Re-learns that's if your ecu (brainbox) has that support. * If you hook the car up to diagnostic equipment and re-initialize. Your throttle body is not plug and play. So probably you have been getting good ones but not following the proper installation procedure. Ill suggest you meet with ikenna since both of you are in abuja. |
• Patients’ virus levels became undetectable after bone-marrow therapy with stem cells TWO patients, both Australian men, became apparently Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV)-free after receiving stem cells to treat cancer. They are still on antiretroviral therapy (ART) “as a precaution”, but those drugs alone could not be responsible for bringing the virus to such low levels, says Director of the Kirby Institute at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, David Cooper, who led the discovery. A year ago, a different group of researchers had reported cases with a similar outcome. Cooper presented details of the cases yesterday at a press briefing in Melbourne, Australia, where delegates are convening for this week’s 20th International AIDS Conference. The announcement came just a day after the news that at least six people heading to the conference died when a Malaysian Airlines flight was shot down in Ukraine. Cooper began searching for patients who had been purged of the HIV virus after attending a presentation by a U.S. team last year at a conference of the International AIDS Society in Kuala Lumpur. At that meeting, researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, reported that two patients who had received stem-cell transplants were virus-free. Cooper and his collaborators scanned the archives of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, one of the largest bone-marrow centres in Australia. “We went back and looked whether we had transplanted (on) any HIV-positive patients, and found these two,” says Cooper. The first patient had received a bone-marrow transplant for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2011. His replacement stem cells came from a donor who carried one copy of a gene thought to afford protection against the virus. The other had been treated for leukemia in 2012. Unfortunately, several months after the ‘Boston’ patients stopped taking ART, the virus returned. An infant born with HIV in Mississippi, who received antiretroviral therapy soon after birth, then stopped it for more than three years, was thought to have been cured, but has had the virus rebound, too. At the moment, there is only one person in the world who is still considered cured of HIV: Timothy Ray Brown, the ‘Berlin patient’, who received a bone-marrow transplant and has had no signs of the virus in his blood for six years without ART. The bone marrow received by the Berlin patient came from a donor who happened to have a natural genetic resistance to his strain of HIV. “It is very possible that the Australian men would relapse if they were to stop antiretroviral therapy,” says Timothy Henrich, an infectious-disease specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, who helped to treat the Boston men. Because of the risk of relapse, Cooper’s team will not claim that their patients are cured. But, he says, the results show that “there is something about bone-marrow transplantation in people with HIV that has an anti-HIV reservoir effect, such that the reservoirs go down to very low levels. And if we can understand what that is and how that happens, it will really accelerate the field of cure search”. Stem-cell transplant in itself cannot be used as a routine HIV treatment, because of the high mortality (10 per cent) associated with the procedure. An important next step will be to find more such cases and compare them, says Cooper, to try to identify where the virus might be hiding. “These patients are very precious examples to help us understand how we might manipulate the immune system to drive the reservoir down to these extraordinary low levels.” Henrich says that a larger pool of patients will provide a better understanding of how the immune system can be harnessed to fight HIV, adding that there could be many more people around the world whose virus has become undetectable. “I think the main finding is further confirmation that transplant can reduce the level of virus in peripheral blood to a level which is undetectable by research (tests),” he says. Gero Hütter, a haematologist now at Heidelberg University in Germany, who performed the transplant on the Berlin patient, says that his case “taught us that a cure could be possible. This is an important motivation to go on in this direction but it does not mean that we will reach this goal for all patients. HIV is still an incalculable enemy, so there might be limitations that we are not aware of now.” Source: http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=30235 |

Unless u intend selling the car soon, keep searching it will turn up soon. As it is with ur copies u should be able to survive any stop and search by police. |
