The codes you posted are multiple cylinder misfire, check spark plugs on all cylinders and coils to be sure they are working

Check for coolant in engine oil and engine oil in coolant, also check if engine spins faster than usual when cranking. If yes to all then you have a burnt head gasket.

Note your engine does not fare well to overheating for it to have been driven dry till it came to a halt is bad news. have them check for cracks on the block before you go far, if you find any replace the entire engine.

Jodesky: You don't seem to understand Poster's request. He has an engine he's removing from his accidented Murano and he wants to buy a Murano with clean body/interior but faulty engine. He will then fix his Engine in that one with clean body. Cest clear?
I belive your car runs without a gearbox right?

TCD: what exactly are these local govt boys looking for? And do they stop private cars?. Also the custom guys do you need the original custom docs or a photocopy will do?
LG govt boys are on the rd to collect road taxes, radio licence tax, mobile adverts, .......... There are a lot of taxes corporate bodies ard supposed to pay every year, funny thing is if you enter any local govt office to pay for this stuff every thing will cost you between 5-10k (depending on your bargaining power) but on the road hmmm its a different ball game, since they stoped them from putting sticks and nails on the road, they now work with the security agents at security check points e.g army will stop you and tell you to park, LG boys will continue the interogation.

As for the custom duty guy even a car I bought here on nairaland last week (tokumbor unregistered) with tincan custom duty was stopped at okene as it was being delivered they pointed out 1 very small detail and said yes the car was cleared in tincan but the agent did not pay all the processing fees! How they figured it out I don't know, well I called up the chap that sold the vehicle, he called up the agent, agent called customs 7hrs later money exchanged hands (agent transfered cash)car was released. Now for that type of car your heart would alwasy skip a beat when you get to a custom check point.

For the custom duty I DONT CARRY THE CERTIFICATES IN MY VEHICLE, I just flash a get out of jail card when stopped and move on.
Car Talk › Re: The Difference B/W Corolla LE And Corolla Sports ? by GAZZUZZ(m): 8:08am On Jul 27, 2014
Raymondenyi: Wow!!! tnx very much; Never knew all that; d above ground level; B/W the sports edition n others; is it same? Or d Sports is lower? ( U know our Naija roads)
Clearance would not be the same cause of the extra padding on the sports.
Car Talk › Re: The Difference B/W Corolla LE And Corolla Sports ? by GAZZUZZ(m): 7:11am On Jul 27, 2014
Toyota Corolla
LE = Luxury Edition basically you have power windows, door locks, cruise control, etc.
CE = Classic Edition NO power windows, door locks, cruise control, cd player, etc
S = Sport basically everything a LE has but it would have front and back bumper spoiler, side spoiler, a wing at the back of your trunk, fog lights, mudguards, black front grille, 16 inch wheels.
XRS = Has a bigger motor basically the 2.4L 4 cylinder Camry Motor with a 6 speed manual.

Based on your criteria the toyota or lexus brands are a good buy, actually they are the same thing same mechanical parts same engine same suspension, difference is the lexus is a luxury model and you get more comfort and probably a smoother drive.
Car Talk › Re: Please Sirs Is Audi 80 A Good Car? by GAZZUZZ(m): 11:23pm On Jul 26, 2014
PasD: I need direction. I have this Nissan Quest 2000 model but its giving me so much trouble. Sometimes I just feel the car is cursed. I bought it as a scrap and I have been trying to make it work but its just one week one trouble. I have changed the engine entirely yet I can't just explain why the new engine's block cracked and started dripping water. Now a car dealer has offered to give me an Audi80 direct tokumbo car on the condition that I will give him my Quest and also balance him 300k ontop. Please sirs is it a good business? I just want that quest to leave my life alone the car is a battle for me. I have never ever enjoyed it! Thanks for your advice....
A car is as good as its maintainance.

Audi 80 is a good car just make sure ur not jumping from 1 nightmare to the next. There are lots of good simple cars you will get for 400k (assuming the worth of ur present car is 100k).

Read about audi 80 models here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_80
Car Talk › Re: Ibadan To Abuja by GAZZUZZ(m): 11:14pm On Jul 26, 2014
Its about 600km and by nigerian standards the roads are fair.

Pointers

1. Ensure your car has all the particulars especially custom duty the original one the guys at ibilo and okene are deadly. If you don't have those papers just get ready to part with between 1 and 30k on each stop depends on their mood and your bargaining power.

2.If you car is any of the "bank models" ensure the name of the owner of the vehicle is not a cooperate name if not the local govt bois will get you, that's another 10-25k depending on your bargaining power their moods are always bad. P.s this applies to trucks and cars that are often bought brand new.

3 between ife and owo there are a lot of pointless speedbrakers beware.

4. Nasty curves in akoko(ondo state)

This one planes are falling you want to stick to the ground? Safe trip man.

Car Talk › Re: Toyota Camry 1999-2001 Vs 2002-2005 by GAZZUZZ(m): 10:08am On Jul 26, 2014
lomomike: I hate pencil light and Bluetooth Camry (Camry 1997-2000) because of its shape and interior. Although its very durable, mehn that car is like a cat with 9 lives. It can accept being thoroughly beaten and it wouldn't easily bite unlike recent Camry's. The car comes in either 2.2 i4 or 3.0 v6 mated to either a 4speed auto w O/D or a 5 speed manual (don't even bother searching for the 5 speed manual, its almost like a white elephant project unless you get a JDM or Australian market brand) usual issues with the car is its low ground clearance (don't raise it up or add any stuff to alter its suspension unless you'd get a car that easily fish tail and would be a death trap) that vehicle has a high affinity to destroy struts basically not its fault, North Nmerican specs struts are too soft tuned and they easily go bad especially when abused by Nigerians and our roads, prehistoric exterior, and an interior dating 5000BC is another burden. Sensors oh yes, sensors especially catalytic sensors, O2 sensors are another issue, oil sludge in V6 models., yes, the leather, woodwork and silver you think you're seeing is fake, pseudo, nothing but trinkets. The perceived wood design is actually painted plastics, leather is actually vinyl. Be careful to use genuine Toyota products and stick to manufacturer's specs fluids or you'd get seriously bitten by this car.

Yes bread motor abi na canvass motor AKA big for nothing, Big big daddy one over bloated designed vehicle (Camry 2003-2006) due to its its size and its interior dimension which is quite large and empty (so does people perceive) its good but not as durable as pencil light. It sports either a 2.4l i4 or a 3.3 V6 which makes that car quite fast. when boring exterior meets boring interior you'd get disaster outlook dot com. For 2.4l i4 the usual ish is stripped bolts head, which would require you to buy a new engine that's a fault in the engine design, yes, the leather, woodwork and silver you think you're seeing is fake, pseudo, nothing but trinkets. The perceived wood design is actually painted plastics, leather is actually vinyl. Be careful to use genuine Toyota products and stick to manufacturer's specs fluids or you'd get seriously bitten by this car. Truss me highlander was made from the platform of this car.

Op. I don try na
You try but you come tell am which of the 2 "boring" cars make him buy.

JUO: When i bought the car, i can't move the car with gear 2 because it will stall. now i move with gear 2 from standstill. i can't drive with gear 5 @ 40km/p because it will geek. now i can drive 30km/p with gear 5. initially my speedometer was higher than the rpm meter. now revise is the case. that surge is no-longer the way it used to be. i think my clutch is giving way gradually? gurus in the house please enlighten me the more.

Car Talk › Re: Catalyst Error Code 0420 And CVT Issue On Nissan Primera by GAZZUZZ(m): 4:43pm On Jul 25, 2014
pragmatistm: Thanks man. I recently replaced the tranny oil with recommended NS1. Now I like to check the shifter cable but i dont know where it is and how to identify it. sad sad. Can you direct me?
I had a rethink I doubt the problem is from your shifter cable, but if you want to know where it is have somone shift the leaver while you look inside the engine bay probably on top transmission you will see the cable moving. (Since the other gears are shifting fine, D,N,L then cable should be fine.)

For the code check for a leaking exaust, if there's are no leaks rest code and check if it comes back.

For the hard shifting avoid resting the car on park, pull the parking brakes before shifting to park.

If that doesn't work check the transmission oil, if that is fine check the shifter cable, if that is not stiff there's nothing else that is servicable just manage her like that.

A scan will tell you what went wrong, have it scanned, if you can't interpret the results post the codes here we will all help out. But in the mean time check for disconnected sockets or not properly fitted sockets around engine bay. Cars are built to be more sensitive to abuse these days, would be better if you stoped driving it till you get it sorted out cause u might be doing more damge by using it. As sultaan said more info would help solve your issue let's have a full repair history.

You shifted to L at those speeds? That's not right, u could kill ur engine/tranny. Try starting off from L and see if it works.

pragmatistm: People, someone on a primera forum suggested using the tranny selector "L" while climbing hill. I tried it but the tranny failed to respond. Instead the engine was reving higher rpm. Is the "L" selector bad?
L is like putting ur car in 1st gear, how fast were u moving? I'm sure the suggestion was for offroad conditions.
