These are mostly actors, cause how do you explain how close the pictures are. |
I think you need to change location (apartment, compound, house, area) this cannot happen even if I park on the street in my place. Hard luck. |
GAZZUZZ: There's nothing wrong with ur car. After looking at the picture you posted you car acutally over heats, let's do the simple things first 1.Check if your a.c condenser is blocked with dirt and insects, over time there will be build up of dirt and insects as you drive, if you can't see thru you condenser all the way to your fan, take yor car to a good car wash, "do not wash engine" cover all the sensitive electrical parts and back wash radiator and condenser with a jet of water. 2. Check if thermostat is stuck closed. Discussed here https://www.nairaland.com/1788778/maintenance-tips-cars-quick-response#24358753 3. Check fan works when temp has exceeded normal conditions I'm hoping these easy tips will solve ur problem, if not we go hard on the problem, my contact is on my signature if you need more tips. |
For the love of fish! |
Bimbor I remember 1 thread that was lost b4 nairaland went down. |
This is good news. Unfortunately there is no source for your story. |
Onosy open up the compartment where the thermostat was removed, the o ring should still be in there, it also acts as a seal if not coolant would be leaking from that spot. |
Amono: Gazzuzz you are doing a great job, keep it up.A worn out brake rotor (brake disk) is responsible, its caused by an un-even surface. Have them replaced and problem will be solved. Also try and get original brake pads, the fake ones in the market wear out the rotors quicker than normal. |
aeu1: I will need diagrams to cater for:You have mail. |
niyoni: Great thread Gazzuzz! Pls can i top up d coolant in my toyota highlander with Totals green colored coolant even tho d coolant in my radiator is pink in color? I culdnt get d recommended toyota super long life coolant to buy, tho Totals coolant has the same properties n composition as toyotas. Thanks in advance for your response. Not wise to mix them up, if its not that low add water, if not drain it, and fill with just the one you were able to get. |
The o ring is inside the case, once you unscrew it it should be there. There isn't much of a market for thermostats and o rings cause people tend to throw them out. Just go thru 1 or 2 mechanic garages and tell them what you want I'm sure u will get it for almost free. |
As per vehicles without original custom duty, can you impound paper? No mumu will cary his car to rd safety for registration. |

OEM parts are expensive!!! U go fear fear but in the long run they are worth it. Example the brake pads I bought for my mums avensis 2000 were oem @15,000 and lasted over a year in fact they are still on the vehicle, but if I had bought auto boss 2 brand new they would be dead in a month and would have damaged my rotors (disks), the struts you bought tokumbor might be good if they are OEM and the vehicle they were removed from was driven on very good roads and the car has low mileage. You can check the link I gave you on how to identify original toyota parts. |
Go to any toyota service outlet to find out the price of replacement front struts for your vehicle. |

aeu1: A fairly used 99 corolla I acquired has both condenser & radiator fan spinning continously. Is it difficult to have back factory wiring. Is it something that if i see a wiring diagram or video, I can do, or I must contact a rewire for this jobAre you good at diy? If yes start by looking for disconnected sockets around radiator area, looked for taped cut or taped wires, its a very easy job if the mumu that disconnected them didn't butcher the harness too much. Factory wiring diagrams are in pdf send email. When sending don't use @ use (at) to avoid spam. |
Just read about it, the boi must have psychological issues |
Another scam. |
