I have a few Hyundai Accents bought brand new in 2010. All of them have crossed the 150,000km mileage.

We noticed that their oil level drops considerably after servicing even when there is no leakage.

Our Mechanic is suggesting that we adopt an engine oil with thicker Viscosity and then add oil treatment. My little research reveals that we are better of with 10W 30 since the engines are old and operating in the tropics.

Can someone please provide us with some guidance here?

Also the fuel pump misbehaves but if rewire come touch touch some fuse it'll work

The compressor was manufactured by Doowan for Kia Rio (2011-2017) and Hyundai Accent (2011-2018) for the 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6 litre engines. It is compatible with all the models regardless of the market.

Oga this sensor is still giving me issues since ooooo.

I have changed both sensors on the manifold yet the issue persist.

If I connect the manifold pressure sensor, the car will stop raising current (I don't know how to explain that)

If I disconnect the Manifold pressure sensor, the car will be okay, but the plugs will always get filled with soothes in short drive.

I am no longer enjoying the car.

I asked you earlier if your accent was a USA spec ... I didn't get a response ......

But after digging , I found out that it is not a USA spec .. It seems you bought it in Nigeria via Dana Motors.......

The USA spec is mainly a 1.6liter engine , very reliable and strong engine ....... While urs is a 1.4liter engine those engines are design for 3rd world market in my humble opinion .........


So in essence if I do end up buying the compressor from the USA it might not fit your spec ...........

For future reference when buying cars ... Always try sticking to USA spec .. They are usually built better and last longer .....

I actually called a friend who works in Stallion motors and he gave me a contact of one of their technician.

The guy visited my house, looked at the construction the Kazeem did and told me in the long run it may have an effect on the engine as already postulate. Be he said I could drive the car like that for like 4 months till like November, while I save up to change the compressor and all the welded pipes. He gave a budget of N250k for the compressor.

BTW, if anyone has a better option on price for the compressor I am open to look at it. I stay in Lagos but can pay delivery if the price is better. I no be Cubana oh. Make una help me get better deal. Peace.

Oga Gazzuzz, please i need your help here on my 2005 Toyota Camry (Big daddy). I noticed my car drags when i engage the transmission but later picks when the vehicle gains momentum. The draggy movement repeat itself anytime i want to start moving. I diagnosed and the error code i got was P2770(Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit high). After this, i took the vehicle to my mechanic who advised we should change the transmission fluid and filter which we did. It worked well for a day and the stalling started again. Kindly advise Sir.

Team, my 2017 Hyndai Accent 1.4 liter AC began to have faults. I felt it was just change of gas but when I went to an AC mechanic he said it was Compressor and Condenser damage and I had to change it.
He searched for the compressor and brought on compressor he said was manual type and fitted to the car using what looked like an Iron made slab as the base to make it hold onto the compressor space. After he change the condenser. I paid N90k for the service. But after test driving I found out the car draggs and began to consume much more fuel. Looked like a heavier size compressor was used.
I return it and he said he would change the compressor. He now used a second hand one that he said was removed from a Corolla to fit into the space with another iron locally constructed place as a base. But till now, the vehicle drives different. It seems like it's carry a heavy load and the engine sounds havier when I accelerate.
Please what can be the cause. The car I brand new and I have never had any issues outside routine service and it's frustrating.
Please can any one assist. Does anyone know the cost of a direct replacement of the compressor and if there is another solution.
The original one was a n automatic compressor this is manual. Is there any difference?
PS- I stay in Port Harcourt.

Check Ebay.... just focus on seller with 99% ratings and get someone to help you buy and bring it here to Nigeria....
Ensure you buy brand new, Tokunbo compressor is a waste of money... avoid automatic tokunbo compressor like plague.......
