Good morning Sir/Ma, please I need your advice .

I went to service my power steering rack, change the fuild, service the fuel injector, changed my plugs and I later scanned the car with a car scanner and no issues was found.

After all, I decided to throughly wash the car inside and engine( cos the power steering oil has spilled inside the car from the faulty power steering rack)

When I was about to pick it up from the car wash guy, My car was jecking and the gear could not move to park or drive.

The car wash guy called his mechanic to fix it but my car was till jecking. He said one of my plug socket is bad and that's why my car still jecks(dis was a day after I serviced my car)

I want to do the engine servicing and gear.

My question now is .....what should I tell my mechanic to do, as regards the plugs, gear and which brand of engine oil and gear oil should I use?

Note...my car is Honda Accord DC. 2.4ltr engine.

Well I will read more into it. But for sure I was told that it is better not to use the 5w 30 for the elantra in warm climate. The debate various from mechanic to mechanic.

Ha well we need to flush out the sludge now abi. Even the mobile 5w 30 you recommended . I was told that it is only good for cold climate weather. Using that in a warm climate might be to heavy of oil for the car.
But am sure that flushing out the old oil of a tokunbo is a good idea. Before you start putting new oil ... am not trying to dismiss your expertise o. I will take my chances with the foreign mechanic advice. Again am not trying to dismiss your expertise

well i use xhp and i dont have sludge. e be like say Gazzuzz no know say oyinbo people sef dey use mineral oil

if you follow the right drain intervals there will be no sludge, sadly let's look at it this way.

Uber drivers do an average of 250kms a day.

Xhp should not be used for more than 3000km.

Will you service your car every 2weeks?

Need to look into it. If you can get the rite stuff it's worth it especially if your car is tokunbo. Cars from overseas use thicker oil coz of the cold weather. So you need to properly flush out the old oil before using new oil brand.

It's the other way round sir, in cold weather you need lighter oil.

I always advice you give 500miles to traffic (time spent when engine is idling and car is not moving )

Maybe he was playing with you. Plz don't take nonsense from any drivers. If your car is in excellent shape, you have the right to lease out at the best rate possible. A tokunbo or grade A should be around 35k to 40k a week o. A camry like yours should be 35k and nothing more. The reason is because it's a 2.4 liter engine. Don't let any drivers push you around. If they really want to work, trust me they will. I have lock up few drivers and also seize their phones. This is want a driver did to my car, it's either driver or mechanic fault I don't know. Shine your eyes either way

Hello gazzuzz, I did exactly as you said with the help of another mechanic, he diagonosed that the transaxle system in the gear that has fault. He was also the one than scanned the car with his device that revealed all those codes. He said he can make the gear work again if I give him the go ahead. My worry now is that the code pointed to torque converter and now transaxle or whatever. How do we go about this.

hello car gurus I need your expert opinion about my vehicle. I noticed on cold start(in the morning or after bn parked for about 8hrs),the vehicle transmission does nt enter drive(it enters reverse gear easily).it gives a sound similar to bn in neutral gear(possibly it slips to N).
I am able to overcome the slip by raising RPM to about 3+ and it then enters drive with a loud thump.afterwhich the car drives normal throughout the day , selecting all gears smoothly and as appropriate(ofcourse until it's parked for another 8hrs plus nd I av to force it into drive gear again)
I also noticed that when I move to drive gear in the morning and I depress the brakes for about 7-9seconds ,d car shifts into gear with a mild thump nd am good for the day.
I also have bn able to overcome the early morning problem by allowing the vehicle to warm in the morning for about 10minutes(when I do that car shifts smoothly from start)
I have changed my transmission oil(T4) and av even cleaned d gear filter with no difference.am yet to scan d transmission but I will appreciate suggestions from experts in the house.
my mechanic here says it's valve body.another one said I shld change d gear while fingers av also bn pointed at gear selector and sensors.
vehicle is Toyota Camry 2003 V6.
I just remembered problem started after I used my battery to start someone's car nd my RPM became low so I had d Mech increase it temporarily till it normalise which happened nd gave me high rpm... though I tried reducing it bt it's still higher than normal(could dt be related to d gear issue I started experiencing afterwards?)
