anyways, yeah, I get the whole auto climate control thing, where the compressor should disengage after attaining a set temperature. However if you notice, some cars (like mine) have a "LO" climate control setting, below the last actual digit, like below 16 degrees Cels, for instance. I believe on this low setting at high fan speed, the compressor shouldn't cycle.

The car is a 2010 Toyota Avensis (think 1.8L). I just had all the ac components replaced; condenser, evaporator, compressor and ac lines.

I noticed that the condenser is getting extremely hot, hence maybe why it doesn't cycle when I open the hood on idle, or when I am driving as during driving, a lot of air is forced through the condenser from the grill.

I seemed to have a little bit of success with bleeding some refrigerant from the low line (as I heard overcharging may be an issue) and the cycle seems to be a bit longer, but I can't be sure just yet. So I have decided to try again at the end of the day to see if this is a real solution or if I have to take the car back to the mechanic. I just don't want to take it back as the mech takes way too long to resolve my issues. My car has been there for like 2 months now and I'm just happy to have it back. To now send it back again for another month, don't know if I can handle that

Hello house, please I need an ac specialist to tell me whats up with my car.

The ac compressor short cycles (on 10 secs off 5 secs) whenever I am at idle, but when I begin to drive the compressor stays on.

I conducted an experiment yesterday and noticed that if I have the hood open when I idle, the compressor runs smoothly and doesn't short cycle. However when I close the hood, still idling, the compressor starts to short cycle after about 5 mins.

Makes me believe it's a heat related issue, but I just can't put my finger on it.

please help

What vehicle? Engine size? Repair history? Any a.c concerns apart from what you explained above?.

Personally I do not think there is anything wrong with your vehicle. Manual compressors are not meant to be perpetually, when cabin temp attains set temperature compressor is deactivated. Until temp goes higher again.

I decided sometime ago to change the colour of my Toyota Camry. After the job, the body started swelling and the paint was peeling. The painter said it is a chassis problem so he would have to grind the whole chassis and repaint. Would grinding and repairing really work or should I go for the baking technology? Using the recommended OEM oil would save you all these hassles.

Pls i want matured minds in the house and experienced peeps to answer aw a man can cope or treat his short tempered wife.
This is a woman who picks offence in virtually everything that happens in d house even among her co workers at work, the taxi driver that carried her, even d passangers she sit win in a bus to the bike man that carried her, pple she buys things from, infact the list is endless everybody is always offending her.
In the house she always see somthing to complain about, to d extent that one will be beging her not to vex even when she is at fault, infact so many other thinz like that that one cannot finish saying.

I took my vehicle (Honda Accord 2006) for servicing and diagnostic scan was carried out and these codes came up:

P0108
P0123
P0223

Please not that check engine light was not on before the check up and after.

How about the other aspect where the car does not move when put on drive, until I alternate between D4, D3, 2, 1 and back to D5 before it moves.

it also Jerks slightly when moving from idle.

Please I really need help.

I've been offered a clean manual Nissan Altima 2003, I'm planning on getting next week as I like the car.
What do you guys think I've heard the auto Altima are very prone to faults and less durable. I have used a very bad car that drained me before I don't want to ever experience such again I need your candid advice please.

Bro you, you are right about this transmittion thing. At this point, I noticed that sometimes if you put the car in drive, it wont engage. The car will just be there, but if u move it to 1, 2 and back to D5, it will engage and move

Secondly, if u park the car in an elevated platform, removing it from park to reverse or drive becomes hard, and when u force it, it switches with a big plung sound.

Please advise, is this an easily fixable problem. Or am I in for a big one. What do I do?
