Engine Doctor, please I drove a neighbor's 2005 Toyota camry and discovered the engine stalls before getting to speed. I told him that something is definitely wrong with the transmission but he objected explaining that his close confidente that brought the car from Cotonou took him to a reliable mechanic where it was prep and tune up.

To buttress his point he opened the car booth and brought out a half filled can of Sea horse dextron 111 type transmission. When I saw it I decided to check the transmission type from the dip stick only to discover it requires type IV and quickly told him to empty his transmission immediately for the recommended type.

Though he hesitated but promise to change it when he returns from over 250 miles journey to and fro he's embarking.

The car is I4 cylinder engine.
Would the transmission fry before he's back or am I really exaggerating with my over Sabi?
What type of transmission will you suggest he uses?

Don't believe everything you read on the pages of newspapers. The more sensational the headline the higher the views and sales.
I know Dr sawyer. He's an exceptional consultant that has helped so many pple. This report is clearly one sided and no investigation was done by reporter. I'm sure u all felt something wasn't rite wen u read thru.
The truth is dat the lady came to the clinic to have the baby aborted at 8months. Dr sawyer clearly refused but offered to help her by contacting ministry of women affairs so the baby can be protected and possibly adopted wen it was born. Everything was written in black and white. The lady claimed the fada of the baby abandoned her and she was an orphan. It was ministry of women affairs that took the baby wen it was born bt on getting to the office the lady suddenly said she wanted her baby. So she was given 7days to come back with her parents(as she said she wasn't an orphan anymore) or a relative wit proof that they wud take care of the baby. Instead she went to the police station and filed a false report. The 27k she mentioned was money that other patients and their relatives in the hospital gave her wen she first came for the abortion just to help her get food and stuff for her self since she was heavily preg.
The Dr was released wen he brought proof and witnesses that attested to wot truely transpired.
Don't believe all u read. There are always at least 2sides to every story.

Buy the charger and either downgrade the engine, get another hemi or buy a camry engine in ladipo to modify the car

It IS possible to select a gear WITHOUT depressing the clutch, if you time lifting your right foot off the gas pedal correctly. It's called "clutchless gear change" or "rev matching". Not recommended though, especially whilst still learning.[/color]

I drive a 2000 camry and I am wondering the best oil filter to use for Total quartz9000 cos I read that when buying full synthetic oil one should buy an oil filter that will be able to cover the full life span of the engine oil or almost full life span

All right guys!
It's about two weeks now, and I decided to really give it time before dropping another feedback.
I want to say firstly that the issue NEVER happened again, and that battery has been performing top-notch as it used to be.
While I will say that the Rewire didn't actually pi-point the actual culprit, and couldn't say for sure if the issue was fixed, but his trouble-shooting actions was very much standard procedure.
I watched a youtube clip on parasitic drain diagnosis, and it was exactly the same process, the only difference been that instead of using an Ammeter that can read slight differentials in current, he was using a pen bulb. I want to assume that while he was flipping ON and OFF various components switch, he unkwowing fixed one of them which was probably stuck in an ON position.

So, the good news is that I have been enjoying my ride ever since.

Op, when I learnt how to drive nobody thought me. I just downloaded a YouTube video on how to drive a manual car, after watching the video the next day I picked my mom's car key and off I go driving to the best of my knowledge.
Then every9t, I practice it in my dreams. The more I practice it in my dreams the more I learn how to drive.


That was how I started and now I'm an expert in driving without going to any driving school and without anybody teaching me. Uptill date my mom still thinks that I went somewhere and learnt how to drive then came back and started using her car to practice what I learnt.

I know some peepz wouldn't actually believe this but all I have to tell you is that if you have the mind and heart and very determined to learn how to drive, you will learn it without anyone's help. All you need to know is to learn how the gear operates with the clutch and you are good to go.

Hello guys,

I recently changed my power plugs and plug coils and i noticed that the gear selector of the other gears (i.e 3,2,1) light blinks at random in addition to the 'D' highlight when i drive . This problem occurs as often as i drive . What could be the cause ?

Thank you for your prompt reply. As for the brake line that's unscrewed do I as a mechanic to screw it back or find out why it was unscrewed. Thanks

Thanks a lot for the enlightenment sir, scan revealed P0325 and P0330. Unfortunately I travelled with the car recently and even did speeds of between 160- 180km/hr. No pinging sounds were noticed and the gear changed smoothly above 3rd and so on. Could it be that my knock sensors are still okay? If yes, why the codes? Am in PH. Pls help. The car hesitates to reach optimum acceleration some times, but picks up after a while when I accelerate.
