take a look at my mechanic's quote for parts for my Rav4 2003 version.

Shocks absorber 40k,
stab linkage 14k,
stabilizer rod 18k,
ball joint 25k

Can you confirm these prices for me?

Also, what could cause a stabilizer rod to break into two. This has happened twice to my car.

There are OEM and after market parts, there are after market that are crap and after market that will last as long as oem e.g (Kyb struts) provide brand names and origin of parts, and I might be able to give you a price list.

I just must share this for all those passing through stress acquiring driver's license and car registration.

Hi all,

I have a 2000 model Toyota corolla, I recently started hearing a scraping sound from the engine bay when I accelerate. The sound comes up only when the speed of the car is below 60km/hr. What could be the cause.?

Also, I have never changed the ATF and Brake Oil since I bought the car as Tokunbo and it is almost 3 years now. Should I go ahead and change it?

what is a scraping sound? On car talk we have the legendary "kpom" sound, we have the "kpokom" sound. Please feel free to describe yours. (is it the kla,kla, kla kla sound?)

If you keep your foot on the brake pedal on heated rotors (after heavy use), the pad contact areas will cool at a different rate to the rest of the rotor. This is what causes them to warp.

In summary, the differences in heat dissipation at different points on the rotor's surfaces causes warping. Driving the car hard, and braking often WILL get the rotors hot, BUT as long as the pads are not clamped in the same spot for prolonged periods, cooling will be uniform.[/color]

no, leave the thermostat, but ensure you remove the radiator, it's not needed in the car

hehe all I need is a turbo charged Kia optima or hyundai sonata, the 2.0T will embarrass your V6 EOD or DC and make a mess of the situation, it's a 4 banger with 270hp to deal with competition.

I have driven the 2006 DC 4 cylinder, an impressive performer and better than the 07-12 4cylinder camry.

Am not really a fan of saloon cars anymore and I don't care about acceleration but speed. I am a fan of good design and I love intimidating rides (04-12 Infiniti Qx56, ford expedition/lincoln navigator/escalade).

My dream V6 now is a 3.5L V6 powered Nissan maxima or Altima with manual gear, double exhaust, once it's manual, I don't care what engine you packing (excluding the lambos and ferrari) even if nah ford mustang or chevy camaro, I will give you race + chase you will never forget soon.

ithere are better ways of insulating wires that go into a fuel tank, unfortunately you were stranded on the road, and had were out of options. Using black tape is a stupid idea, because it will not hold in petrol, what you have at the moment will not melt, and will insulate the positive and negative terminals. I do not approve of it, but if the wires are joined properly, it will serve. (if the wires are not joined properly, there will be partial contact which will lead to stalling and possibly a breakdown. Best bet will be to buy the entire fuel pump with case since your present one has been compromised.
