djfaithy: ehn ehn, tell me something.... I wonder why tinubu has failed to give us constant power supply for 15 years, pdp na d way jare, apc is a bad partyI am wondering the same thing too. Of course we all know that the PDP failing to improve the abysmal power situation of Nigeria for 15 years, since 1999, is surely Tinubu's fault 100%. That Tinubu sef. |
adrelanine: is this noheemNo. |
arresa: That's your oga from Debt Management Office (DMO). Unfortunately he can not say the same about your indebted states with nothing to show for their gbese..You think these guys have the capacity to listen to the authoritative and informed opinion of an involved technocrat? No. They only know how to hate others ignorantly and illogically. They will certainly not accept expert contribution stating that Lagos can service her debts and that the fund obtained are being used judiciously. |
soroptimist: Nigerian Youths and not the Elders are their own problemDon't mind them. Absolutely indolent and cowardly lot who only know how to throw insults from afar at everyone while putting their nose in what does not concern them. How many of those who have spoken here are from or even care about the Ogbomosho North/South/Orire constituency 9ice wishes to represent? Really abhorrent how Nigerian youths lack focus, clarity of thought and the ability to think critically. This is why their leaders pee on them and take them for granted. To get to know and hold their own direct leaders accountable, they will never do. All other frivolity, including insulting those who have nothing to do with them, they have ample time for. |
What a highly irresponsible and brazenly shameless ruling Party. The PDP always disgracefully joining issues with the opposition, using half-truth and outright lies sometimes, when the Party should be rising up to the challenge of confronting the many serious problems facing Nigeria currently. What more proof does anyone need that this is an impotent, incompetent and highly duplicitous ruling Party without the capacity or focus to move Nigeria forward? No one is fooled by the diversionary antics of the worthless PDP any more. |
mapet: and if I am making assumption that the underlined is not a figment of your imagination, please can you educate us further with the details of the debt? What is the tenor of these debt? what is the interest rates? what's the signed pay back arrangement? etcBro, I praise your effort aimed at explaining things in a sensible manner. Yet you are ultimately wasting your own time once you are dealing with folks who think debt is automatically bad. You will never get such folks to understand the concept of using OPM ("other peoples money" ) responsibly to build success and aid socio-economic progress. |
Rawani: There is going to be something very dramatic that will happen soon in this country on this issue. The rest of the world is watching as we are being governed with impunity, nepotism and professional recklessness. This will only help to provoke the NBA, Stephen Davis and Human rights agencies and every just and equitable human being. We are watching..Absolutely. We have seen this in history many times. The very obvious inaction of this governt and its corrupt practices, undermining noble efforts to defeat Boko Haram, will lead many to speak out in frustration, and reveal what they know, in the hope this exposes the complicity of the GEJ Government and stop the needless death of innocent Nigerians. I think this is what led Dr.Davis to depart from protocol and put his findings in the public domain before deceit and complicity overtakes it. Same way Ribadu too, knowing that the GEJ government is playing a game of deception, probably leaked the report of his investigation to Reuters before submitting it to a President who would then have the freedom to kill it and ensure the neutral public does not get to see proof of how it is Nigerian leadership, which should be seeking solutions, that is behind the major problems of Nigeria. |
Sincere9gerian: The APC virus, called Gbawe, has invaded this thread, littering everywhere with his lenghty, senseless epistles.Welcome Ifeanyi. Mr. village herbalist pretending to be a "medical doctor on sabbatical" now for several years. Hope you have not killed anyone in Enugu hawking herbal "Ebola cure" from Street to Street? Mumu 419ner, you better find your level or I will deal with you thoroughly today. Wannabe, mi O kin se egbe eh. Do I make myself clear? |
ilugunboy: He is a very old member here.....There is no essence to this thread. It is just Aljharem 'doing his thing' when he has forgotten to take his meds. Those of us who know him well here are aware of his antecedent. He is not someone to be taken seriously and is exactly 100% like Femi Fani-Kayode. Aljharem has always been known for his deceit, lies and 'all things to all men' sycophancy. The post below is from 2011. Shocking some people never ever change or mellow with age. Tomorrow, he will be here 'apologising' to APC Nairalanders. He does this all the time and it is those who do not know him who will take him seriously. https://www.nairaland.com/800634/nairaland-movie-cast Alj Harem: very interesting dude. He has a gr8 energy discussing on Igbo related thread. He has a kanuri father, igbo mother, yoruba aunt and ijaw uncle just to bully pple during arguments. Very funny a guy. |
berem: no one is hacking my account. Dem neva born the person well.Thank you. He has always being a confused soul. Very deceitful as well with a pathologically deviant hatred of Tinubu. To him, Tinubu is President and c-in-c of Nigeria to be blamed for everything officially responsible leaders are failing to do. He is a snake, Chameleon and divisive charlatan rolled in one. I join you to wish him 'good luck' in his new-found romance with the PDP same way the APC wished Ribadu, Ikimi, FFK and Sheriff good luck and god-speed on their 'travels'. The confused lair should just officially embrace his PDP pals instead of speaking vilely against those of us who have exercised our rights to pitch our tent with the APC. That is always the issues with these PDP boy. All of them are clannish extremists and glorified Shekaus. Tinubu is going nowhere. He is not the problem of Nigeria. While Jonathan callously and inhumanly supervised the looting of billions of dollars that has now left our Army an ill-equipped force that runs away from Boko boys, to the derision of Nigeria worldwide, his bigoted and fundamentalist supporters have the nerve to round on Tinubu daily online while their messiah is thoroughly messing up Nigeria. Lunacy. Nigeria is one big asylum anyway with psychos running around loose everywhere so i am not surprised this mad Alhaji is here talking BS. |
luvinhubby: Bros, you don vex wella wella.I don't need a crude impostor and mischief-maker using my name in his schizophrenic idiocy. Is this not what our vile divide-and-conquer politicians do daily? I.e pretend to be everything to all men to keep everyone devoted to them and against others? The confused charlatan is not what he claims to be and he has, on Nairaland, been busted more times than I have had hot meals. Totally disgraceful chap and a shameless liar. |
@OP Is that not you being called out below for your deception tht has now spanned several years here? Shameless Snake. Or you want me to expose you further? Your attempt at deception is pathetic but you are shameless anyway so i am not surprised you latest 'reincarnation' sees you playing repentant PDP loyalist. https://www.nairaland.com/936313/yoruba-guys-nairaland-posing-hausa Aljharem claiming to be Egun-Awori from Lagos: Buhhahahaha grin grin grin grin Alj harem is an Egun-Awori man from Lagos royal family, I have told you lot of times. Not Hausa and infact I never introduced myself as HausawaSame Aljharem, in same thread, claiming to be Igala from Kogi. I am Igala from Kogi !!!What others are saying about the duplicitous Aljharem: This thread is an effort to compile a list of nairalanders who has been claiming to be from the Hausa tribe just to be at a vantage position to attack other tribes or score some cheap points about the yoruba race. and anyone who thinks al harem is yoruba, needs their brain examined, imo. Ndu chucks is a Fulani while Alj Harem is a Yorubaman from Oyo who once went by the moniker "sjeezy" and "sbeezy" claiming to be from Awori. He reincarnated as a Fulaniman but I have long discovered he is sjeezy. Today he said Asokoro tribe owns Abuja and were intimidated by IBB. No Northerner will commit such fallacy. IBB is from Gwari and Asokoro + much of Abuja was a Gwari settlement. but who is alh harem Abokina Ahj Harem frm Kanuri and Anambra state put together don turn Awori. |
aljharem: If truly you are from Lagos then you must be very dum.b to support APC. What sort of people are we breeding in the SW.Ogbeni, you are not a Lagosian or from the SW and your delusional talk above, where you trip over your own shoelace in confusion, proves it. Does this, as one example, not prove you are not from the SW or even a reasonable non-South westerner? You allow a man from Osun to insult your OBAs and the Awolowo family just because they are not in support of him.It sounds like something a Yoruba hater would say ala "Yorubas are Hausa/Fulani slaves". Does the above not show you to be an idiat from a people who practise superior/inferior caste system? How can an Osun man, who is a full-blooded Yoruba, be viewed as not entitled to criticise his own Yoruba Oba or Yoruba icon (Awolowo)? Is the OSun Yoruba now inferior to others? Which Yoruba will postulate that when we generally abhor discrimination and prejudice? Who should criticise Yoruba Obas and Awolowo thens? Yorubas from Ogun, Ekiti and Oyo only? The whole forum, from your incoherent babbling, once again see proof you are a confused liar. Nowhere in the SW do balanced Yorubas hold the view they are better or 'more entitled' than other Yorubas!!!! It is not what the Yorubas do and only a foolish and unintelligent impostor like you would insinuate that. Once again, your lunacy about the "man from Osun" (Tinubu) gets the better of you and leads you to make a fool of yourself. What next? You will divisively start telling Christians to rise against "Moslem" Fashola and Tinubu? Are you even a Nigerian? You sound like a Chadian Maitatsine-style extremists to me. Over the years your capacity for brazen deception has shamed you severely to leave you a dubious character no one takes seriously. With your own mouth you have told us you have hausa,Yoruba, Igbo, Kanuri, Edo, Ijaw, Ikwerre, Awori Ijebu blood et al flowing through your veins. You have lied about living everywhere and having affiliation with every State of Nigeria to the extent you are probably the poster on Nairaland most called out for deception. All this points to you being a divisive and polarising saboteur who wants to be all things to all men while using that treachery to undermine all sides. You are APC and APGA today only to be prostrating and apologizing to the PDP and Labour Party tomorrow. Guy, you are a confused hack who will likely return to swallow his vomit next week. You have done such a million times on this forum and those who know you understand not to take you seriously because you are a slimy snake and "beast of no nation" trying to con others as you have always done. Just keep my name out of your madness next time and we are cool. Otherwise I will get on your case. |
ProfCorruption: I am not neutral, I am pro-APC. Many folks who claim neutrality are hypocrites or not bold enough to disclose their leanings.Don't mind the confused loser. Hatred of Tinubu has totally turned him into an unobjective and paranoid wreck over the years. Every Nairalander who sees issues clearly, to note Tinubu is not the problem of Nigeria by any stretch of the sane imagination, is now "working" for Fashola and Tinubu. To be honest, I really feel sorry for many posters here because it is obvious they don't lead 'healthy', balanced and fulfilled lives. They are certainly frustrated and 'not well' upstairs. They need to get out more and to seek help for their obvious mental health issues. Some Nigerians are 'scrambled' to the extent they are now happy to proclaim that the Earth is flat even as overwhelming evidence and established fact show otherwise. Anyone who is truly balanced, has probably set foot outside Nigeria to see what obtains elsewhere, and living a productive life will know that this current trend of blaming Nigeria's woe on individuals who have no executive Nigerian political influence (Tinubu for example) and a Party that does not control Nigeria at the centre (APC) is simply cult-like delusions or radicalised madness. The OP is no different to the hordes of brainwashed fundamentalists killing/beheading others in the name of religion because someone has convinced them that the beginning and end of their problem is the practitioners of a religion different to their own. We have a ruling Party, without any shadow of a doubt, destroying Nigeria and this lunatic OP is apologising to brainwashed 'mini Shekaus' while beefing Tinubu emptily. Sheer madness. As one example, we have a ruling Party that callously supervised the looting of billions of dollars meant to strengthen the capacity of the Nigerian army to confront and overcome Boko Haram yet this foolish OP and his brainwashed pals, instead of protesting against that grave development which damns the ruling Party as extremely evil and anti-people, are here shouting Tinubu and APC. Is it not obvious that many Nigerians are mad folks pretending to be sane? I am convinced many Nairalanders from the Insincere9gerian fool, who pretends to be a medical doctor but is a frustrated sycophantic pauper and local herbalist in reality, to this maniacal OP are potential extremists in need of medical 'intervention'. |

nuclearboy: The Jet he was using - he allocated a jet from the presidency to himself too?Thank you. This desperate attempt at damage limitation, now synonymous with the insincere and duplicitous GEJ-led FG, is pathetic. |
barcanista: hs a STARK illiterateBlame cheap broadband and GSM browsing. Now, because of this, every nauseating illiterate can assault us with their awful grammar, putrid clannishness and imbecilic reasoning. A damn shame. |
Stantiques: u be real mumu...u no just get sense..i swear..u go just seat for ur ipad or any thing the type nonsense.did u ever paid a visit to east during obj 8years rule..apointment na revelopmnt.Illiterate. You need adult literacy classes ASAP. |
talktimi: APC Desperate To Win In 2015 : Threaten to destroy Nigeria if they lose elections next year.Sharap. |
arresa: We know these are despicable and disgusting lairsBro, they don't even appreciate that they are making Nigeria appear a Banana Republic. Dr.Davis just came to Nigeria and walked into a volatile situation, putting his life and reputation at risk, to be meeting terrorists and killers? I just hope Nigeria can recover from the damage this disgraceful, dishonest and ultra-amoral government is doing to our already battered reputation. Did they not similarly hire Ribadu only to then try to disgrace him once it was obvious the GEJ-led FG was going to be indicted of complicity in the looting of Nigeria through 'dodgy' practices in the petroleum sector ? Ribadu was smart and leaked the report of his work to Reuters so that the truth was out there before the ultra-corrupt and dishonest GEJ government could discredit or disown it. I know who I believe between Dr.Davis and this brazenly crooked government led by the PDP. |
EdCure: Your opinion might be relevant when you learn how to speak and punctuate. His opinion will be relevant when he develops the intellect to appreciate the 'intangible' aspect of governance that, in the case of Nigeria or Countries similar to it, helps the people to be human resources tool that will, above anything else, develop progress and development. An inspired, talented, innovative and skilled polity built and developed the USA. Ditto for the UK, Germany, France et al. Anyone who understands the "teach a man to fish" concept will know why Aregbesola can be viewed an impressive Governor. For example, 'dense' and hateful folks are obsessed with posting pictures of brown roofs in Osun. Aregbe cannot change that because majority are roofs of private homes with the onus of modernisation and renovation falling on the private owners of those homes. If Aregbe however does his best to boost per capita income, create a bigger middle class, boost employment, attract FDI to Osun and generally empower the human capacity development of the people, then Osun folks with more new and disposable income and better peace of mind will develop a culture of DIY and take pride in their home looking its best. With how Nigeria is whereby average family income cannot even take care of school fees, who will think about rusty roof? Empower and enrich a people and they can do achieve everything. That is what Aregbesola is trying to do. |
Orikinla: Majority of those attacking the governor of the State of Osun are actually intellectually re-tarded.Indeed. Aregbesola has my admiration because he appears one of the few political leaders in Nigeria who understand the concept of how political systems and initiative must match the real State of socio-economic affairs on ground. What is the point of embracing capitalism in one of the most poverty-afflicted nations on earth when, self-destructively, people can never develop optimally to be useful human resource tool of societal progress without government committing funds at it's disposal to help this happen? literally telling Nigerians to go out there and out-hustle others, as majority of Nigerian leaders do, will never develop Nigeria into a nation that works optimally for majority of it's citizens .Such will merely create a very aggressive people with a backbone of criminality and 'one-upmanship'. This is what is behind most of Aregbesola's visionary and welfarist policies lauded worldwide. Invest in strengthening the people, as individuals, and everything else falls in place. this is what is behind the success of the most developed nations in the world be it Japan, the UK, USA or Germany. |
charleff512: I am not from Osun state but if you compare Osun state to what was obtainable before he came in you will appreciate and rate Aregbesola as a performing Governor.Unfortunately, that is all some folks are capable of doing. |
aljharem: Shut up.Mumu, expose me right now or accept you are a discredited and confused charlatan. Are you not the same clown who has reinvented himself as many things here and claimed to belong, at one stage or the other, to virtually every ethnic group in Nigeria when you needed to curry e-favours from them? Sad to see what you have become. If you are not confused, why not simply join your PDP brothers here fully and take the fight to the APC? Why continue to talk like a coward a confused ideological vagrant with no permanent opinion, identity or home? Punk. Expose me right now. Deluded clown. |
aljharem: Paid ? Do you think I am Gbawe that sees nothing wrong in APC and everything wrong in PDP.Lying N*gga, what are you waiting for? Expose me right now !!! Why "soon" ? Expose me now or admit you are a mentally deranged lunatic. Gbawe will soon be known to everyone. I am a totally self-made person needing nothing from anyone. I have nada to do with Fashola, Tinubu or even Nigerian politics beyond wanting a meritocratic and empowering society for Nigeria as I see elsewhere and has even benefited massively from . That is why I am a member of this forum. People like you are cowards. Don't talk. Do it pu*sy. Expose my link to Fashola or Tinubu. I dare you. Is this not how some said Aregbesola is my Uncle when I have no relationship at all with the man beyond supporting his effort for Osun? Bros, you are not a true Lagosian. I am. I am a well-known and respected character, for all the right reasons, in my Surulere hood till today. I would never place my love of Lagos behind political worship of anyone. Where Lagos is concerned, only the best will do. Tinubu will die. Lagos will remain for my kids. I know what obtained before, what we have today and what we can have tomorrow. You are merely a confused punk with a beef against Tinubu. |
@OP. Quit this crap. You have always hated Tinubu and this has totally clouded your objectivity. You were a cyber pal in the past but now I don't really know what you are about because your capacity, over years, for tenaciously hating an individual and obsessing about a person with no political office or direct influence has made you mentally unstable to the extent you appear ready to side with sheer malevolence and what would be disastrous for Lagos. Dude, are you a true Lagosian, with the true interest of the State at heart, as you claim? Or are you just another individual who cannot see clearly or move on with his life till Tinubu is 6 feet under? Man mi, you are just emptily toxic these days because of your senseless hatred of Tinubu. If a true Lagosian you will know what the State faces and the stellar effort of the APC, which made Fashola one of the most influential global thinkers, that has delivered so many positives for our beloved State. You are no Lagosian. Merely a chap with an axe to grind which has made him to completely lose his ways and all sense of perspective. Look at those you are apologising to !!! At least they don't pretend to be confused as you are. We know where they stand. Get a grip or simply become a PDP Nairalander completely and leave APC, Tinubu, Fashola the eff alone. Stop the cowardice, grovelling and duplicity . Get behind the PDP fully and bring it on !!! Join the fight to own the the political soul of Lagos. Spare us your pathetic attention-seeking. Put your effort behind those you think can move Lagos forward. Stop boring us with your hateful obsession with a man who holds no Nigerian administrative office. Tinubu is "bad" then pitch your tent fully with Obanikoro, Bode George et al and meet us real Lagosians at the poll. No long thing. Stop the pus*y behaviour. |
PhockPhockMan: The same playing of politics that made Obasanjo to marginalise Ndigbo for eight good years.I am not at all interested in the topic because it is entirely up to Igbos if they want to ignore reality and be taken in by the deception of a snake oil salesman only ultimately interested in his own selfish ambition. What I hate is unfair revisionism and mindless defamation of others. I am not at all a fan of OBJ but I am an eternal fan of calling a spade a spade and defending the truth always even if such goes against my interest. How on earth did OBJ marginalise Igbos? That GEJ is using deception 101 and tokenism to fool paranoid people like you does not mean we should stand modern history on its head with lies and and outlandishly false utterances. Your problem is that, above everything else, you are keen to always see some as "brother" and others as "enemies" (Yorubas, Hausa, Fulani). You will even embrace ridiculous lies to support your aberrant persona. Were Okonjo-Iweala, Ezekwesili, Akunyili, Ken Nnamani, Soludo and other Igbos not powerful and cornerstone members of the OBJ's government? Did OBJ favour any ethnic group above meritoriously deserving Igbos? In fact he even empowered undeserving Igbos. We remember how OBJ took an American bankrupt and nonentity(Andy Ubah) and transformed him into a very rich and influential political palyer and guber candidate in a very short time and you are here trying to lie the man hated/marginalised Igbos? Will truth and reality always be a victim of the paranoia of some Igbos and the hatred people like you have for all things Yoruba? OBJ empowered many especially Igbos. That is current history we all witnessed. No civil war long thing which involves history many of us did not witness and thus subject to our biased interpretations. What did OBJ and his gang do for the SW or the North he did not do for the SE? The same OBJ who fought Lagos to a standstill and did everything to hamper the progress of the State? The same OBJ who mortgaged the entire South-West into the hands of regressive criminals? Dude, the Igbos fared very well under OBJ. Let us leave it at that and don't start annoying and ridiculous revisionism because you are indoctrinated to proclaim every Yoruba man dedicated to "marginalising" Igbos. Aside OBJ failing to make his "sons" Chris and Andy Ubah Governors of Ogun and Oyo State, how did he marginalise the Igbos? Did he deprive them of important office or turn the North and SW into Dubai while faling to do same for the SE? Face your silly topic and leave OBJ out of your dishonesty and love of revisionism driven by the unobjective hatred of others. I don't like him but he does not deserve your lies when he did everything to include and empower Igbos. Worship GEJ clannishly if you wish. It is your prerogative. Yet you do not have to lie ridiculously, even if that is default behaviour for you, that a Yoruba man who was very fair to Igbos" marginalised" or "excluded" them. That is bull manure which makes a mockery of the history we all witnessed recently !!!!!!! |
I had a good laugh when some chap was foaming at the mouth about SW "marginalisation". Shocking how backward some Nigerians remain in this iinformation age of progressive ideas.. No talks of socoi-economic progress, optimal healthcare, independent and effective institutions, reform of thw NPF or adoption of state policing, growth of SMEs, modern infrastructure et al and some caveman is blabbing about "presence at the centre" as if that can put food on the table of the average south west indigene. Na real wa for some people sha. |
I really don't understand why there is so much emotion related to talks about voting out GEJ. Anyone who is exposed and understands how things work elsewhere will appreciate that GEJ will be voted out unanimously in most civilised Nations because he has failed woefully in tackling the major problems that have always stifled the development of Nigeria. There are perennial probllems which will ensure Nigeria remains underdeveloped. A President like GEJ who has actually made some of these problems worse only deserve to be booted out as will be the case without doubt in nations where ethnic or sectional bias does not turn citizens into worshippers of mediocrities and apologists of gross leadership failure. |
stinggy: STFU id!ot!Bro, ignore hateful folks like that in future. What is the point of having an education when the mind is prejudiced while lacking refinement and sophistication? This is the problem of Nigerian youths and even many Nairalanders as identified by the article. What is more alarming is how the Nigerian youth-the so-called future generation-have imbibed the divisive and primordial ethnic stereotypes that thrive on intolerance which once pushed our country to the brink. It is indeed worrisome to conclude that with today’s youth as ethnic champions, our country’s future is in a serious jeopardy.Nothing in life is easier than giving in to frustration and intolerance to begin blaming our woes on others. Those who are predisposed to doing this will of course call others, far more refined than them, "slaves" because they have rejected the sordid path of bigotry and emptily unproductive hatred of others. While the North remains a legitimate part of Nigeria, the region deserves to have the objective truth spoken about it as the writer of the article does. Feudalists from the south will attack the North myopically as "parasites" and the "problem of Nigeria" without the uprightness or decency to confront the truth about the destruction of Nigeria by an elite ruling class consisting of individuals from all corners of Nigeria. Let us put things to the test so some, perhaps still 'redeemable' , can see the futility and self-deceit in their hatred of the North. They claim the North has ruled Nigeria the most and is therefore responsible for the destruction of Nigeria yet two Southerners in OBJ (8 years) and GEJ (5 years) have led Nigeria for 13 years !!!! Is 13 years, if we are to believe Northerners are only capable of leading Nigeria backwards, not far more than enough time to validate the much touted yet ultimately deluded notion that it is only Southern Presidents who can move Nigeria forward? In the time OBJ and GEJ have been President, our major problems remain the same and even worse in some cases i.e poor power supply, unwieldy and ineffectively bloated democracy seeing recurrent expenditure running at around 70%, corruption, NNPC inefficiency and lack of transparency, inability to refine our crude endowment optimally, etc, etc, etc, etc. Those who can shun ethno-religious prejudice and look at the problems of Nigeria dispassionately will conclude it is a very self-serving centre full of ultra-corrupt and anti-people administrators from every corner of Nigeria, along with their equivalent at State level, who are the "parasites" keeping all corners of Nigeria backwards. We talk about the North daily yet how does the average Northerner stop those who lead Osun, Bayelsa, Ebonyi et al from turning those States into mini-Dubai within Nigeria? When one deploys a very honest and realistic outlook, it soon becomes obvious that the average Northerner is not a "parasite". The big picture, combining many factors, may be complex but a fairly intelligent and honest mind will see exactly what the writer of the article is saying. With Nigerian youths and so-called educated folks preferring the path of prejudice and feudalism, as some responses show here, then it is obvious we have a long way to go identifying and confronting those who are the real "parasites" impeding the development of Nigeria. |
wesley80: Gbawe got a new handle?Clearly your schizophrenia has not improved at all over the years. Your delusions and paranoia even appear to be worsening . |
