Imagine, is a cashier a banker? I think bank worker is referable. Majority of the people that call themselves bankers are BANK WORKERS! Na only to post and market them sabi!!!!! Banker my a.s.*! |
@Damilare_A, I'm not swimming in the ocean o! Infact if i reveal my identity you'll be very very surprised. How's work? Hope you're doing ok? |
damilare_a:I knew it! My broda how u dey? Dont knw when i'll be online again. but just take care |
damilare_a:@ DAMILARE_A this name sounds very familiar, are you with oceanic bank? Somewhere in Delta State to be precise. If na you abeg make u holla me. I be ur correct paddy. |
@randa, u really took my 'silly goat' remark seriously! Guess it hurt you so much, i only felt sorry for you, cos u were about destroying your relationship with ur own hands after you narrowly escaped the banker. cheerio my guy, no hard feelings and no more name callin on the net! PS: I would like to lecture in nigeria, what's the minimum requirement? I'm doing my Masters degree in Finance (Warwick University) |
I think this randa guy is just a silly goat, a few months ago 28th of May to be precise, he complained about a bank babe that wanted to sleep with him (https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=56111.msg1154293#msg1154293). Now another girl is threatening his relationship. Are you the only guy in Kontagora? Dear Randy Randa, PLS GET A LIFE! I aint usually like this, but i dont like people you play with fire and feign ignorance. |
So our governor is hell bent on reaping people off. No light from the govt and when we decided to get generators they want us to do emission test. If they are concerned about pollution then they should make the test very very cheap, at most like #2,500. This is just another money making venture. I really pity MTN, GLO and CELTEL cos all there generating set around the metropolis will have to be tested. Abeg, we should make the operating environment for businesses tougher. Think a masters degree will put you in a better position. It is a worthwhile investment in the long run |
It's all good, our beloved assembly men/women have started barely 4mths into their four year term, if £2.5million or $5million or #600 can be used to upgrade just two building, i wonder how much they'll need to renovate the assembly itself before they finally leave. It is well. God bless Nigeria. In my opinion such a thing cannot happen in the UK and with the same publicity and the alleged perpetrators will be remain in office. They ought to have resigned. |
hayo:POINT OF CORRECTION, KPMG HAS ALWAYS BEEN KPMG AND NOT FORMERLY ARTHUR ANDERSON (very silly mistake to make!) Guess you wanted to say Accenture. |
this is good reminder of the military days, now strategic portfolio are returning to the north, it's a pity though. Me think the re-Northernization of Nigeria has begun. denex:Pls get ur facts right b4 posting anything, what was the status of Lagos then? |
Some people have very myopic view, buy shares, buy shares, invest in Dangote etc My brother the best investment you can make is to invest in your future! Nobody, i repeat nobody can steal or take it from you. And by investing in your future i think going to school to get a degree is not a bad idea, even if you've a sponsor i'll advice you seek part-time opportunities. Enron collapsed, remember the dot.com wahala, now those share certificate are worthless, but if u graduate with a good grade, you can always put your certificate to good use. Your degree certificate will be of immerse value in the future. I admire your drive, pls ensure you start something this year, it is well with you |
A problem shared I believe is half solved, it's about my kid brother he's kinda confused on what to do next, he's undeciced on whether to go for his masters or start studying for his ACCA, his undergrad degree was in Accounting and Finance and he has an outstanding result. Pls can the house help out with some useful and insightful suggestions? Abeg make una help me, cos the guy no dey gree me sleep. Many thanks! |
Na wah o, in this age and time so there's a so called university that forbids men and women (think they're boys and girls) from interacting within the school premises. Source: http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20070716814240 Do you buy this idea? |
na wa for the SAINT wen post this thread. If u care to knw, fraud is not peculiar to nigeria. Chinko, Paki and Indians they pull solid job the world over. Is just unfortunate that some nigerians came be very lousy and dont keep their mouths shut My own answer na capital letter NO |
who can apply online, meanwhile be wary of people who ask you to forward cv's to hotmail, yahoo etc addresses. ANY company of repute shld have their own email address. Just be careful bilcosbi: |
@ Dis guy, apparently calling a yoruba person Yoruba Yoruba isn't offensive i suppose? |
babyosisi:Omo IBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, |
@poster, has the tax rate changed from 30% to 40%? Moreover i think most start up companies can be considered small hence the small business rate of 20% should be applicable. |
babyosisi:never knew we were having a popularity contest on nairaland. anyways, dont need your support/help neither to cast aspersion on ur person to be popular. meanwhile you still remain a tribalist, you better change your ugly ways. see who say make person act like grown up. ewu! omo ibo |
babyosisi:yes, from intelligent and courteous people, sorry lady not people like you. TRIBALIST, u better stop your message of hate! |
I feel every building contractor should be duly registered and operate under a common code, then they can be held liable and can easily be punished or suspended etc |
@dakmanzero, Think i like the feel of the glue! It really makes me high . Sorry for the silly word, but no apologies to babyosisi! dunno her problem with yoruba people. h |
@babyosisi think you're very troublesome and quarelsome. You're a tribalist. You can only try, nothing you fit do to YORUBA people you hear! Tribalist |
WHy do Yorubas classify every other Nigerian as Igbo? Very simple, cos it's easier! Imagine the different languages and people, how can you remember them all? North East Nigeria - Fulani, Kanuri North Central - Nupe, Tiv, Idoma, Igalla, Igbira, Gwari North West- Fulani, Hausa, Kanuri South East- Igbo, Anioma, South- South- Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw(Ezon), Isoko, Kalabari, Ikwerre, Andoni, Bini, Akoko Edo, Ibibio, Efik, SOuth West- YORUBA Me think a distinction has to be made between LANGUAGE and PEOPLE! Or better still refer to people by their state of origin e.g Omo Delta, Omo Edo etc. Cos no be everybody know the sub divisions for nigeria. Dont blame any that makes the mistaken of callin non -Yorubas Igbo, Ijaw or Hausa. Simply correct them. |
dakmanzero:Didnt realise we dont have a culture in Nigeria. Silly you! I strongly agree with the person that said Nigerians are going thru identity crisis. Most people make the mistake, just like people in Africa (Nigeria) consider everyone in England/United Kingdon to be English, when some are Welsh, Irish, Cornish, Scottish etc. My bro that mistaken identity is not peculiar to Yoruba people! |
What can be done to avert this recurring problems of building collapsing in Nigeria especially in Lagos state. Me think this needs serious attention because the lives of lots of people is at stake from greedy landlords and shady contractors. Lack of maintenance culture and i too know (ITK) mentality of the local contractors as well. Please what can be done? http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/newsonthehour/2007/june/17/newsbreak-17-06-2007-001.htm |
Quote from: docokwy on June 14, 2007, 10:20 PM When the Yoruba stop ogboni and its fetish practices (to which at least 70 % of Yorubas belong), stealing Nigeria's money by their elites and burying Obas with human heads; and the hausa stop sharia and religious riots, almajirism and marabouting, they (eg Laudate) can advise the Igbo who practise Osu to end it. Balderdash Let's talk more docokwy, check out the true meaning of marabout, almajiri and sharia etc what you listed are not meant to discriminate among people of the same stock! Lastly, i'm just so glad that you have made the yorubas nigeria's elite now, kudos. Please check your facts b4 u start blabbing. |
I think we've got very few enlightened people on this forum. Using the internet has really made it worse cos illiterates and semi-literate feel really cool and adjourn themselves to be among the enlightened people simply because they can browse and post topics on Nairaland! I wonder how Ogboni issue compares with the Osu issue. And for those of them that havent seen an Osu person, i wonder if they expect the Osu people to put a tag on their head proclaiming they are osus (as if it's something to be proud off). Talking about fetish practices, it's not a Yoruba problem, the last time i checked Okija is in Anambra not in any Western state and if what they practice there is not fetish then i wonder what is then (maybe we shld check from Chris Ngige). Quote from: babyosisi on Yesterday at 12:48:48 AM Won't you go join your brothers in catching fishes in atlantic ocean,Or go carry Ak 47 and whine that we are using your oil and get your behind blown away. ewu bayelsa! It's really a shame that some of us can reason this way @Laudate, Imani etc kudos to you guys, really enjoy your contributions. |
funny both true, do you guys know that about two and half years ago, some councils in Delta State, Nigeria notably Warri-South and Udu LGC introduced Borehole charges for residents that have borehole in their premises. Can you beat that? The council dint provide water, ordinary nigerians sought to help themselves and the council resorted to tax. Na wah o. Please how can we get rid of retards in our government? |
Insensitive, wicked, callous, greedy etc what else can be used to describe some of our leaders. I guess Fashola needs more money to battle PDP, cos he needs a massive war chest to face them in another four years. Little wonder he has already started saving money towards that. Ride on guv'nor, milk the people dry and when there's nothing left, i guess they'll sell off every individual in the state. |
For those of you who have forgotten http://www.christianpersecution.info/news/nigeria-muslims-club-christian-teacher-to-death/ will be a good starting point. My point is nothing has been done so far, it's very shameful and painful. For an update of the story see http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/living/2007/june/02/living-02-06-2007-001.htm God help us in Nigeria and save us from religious fanatics. |
when wil u b online?

. Sorry for the silly word, but no apologies to babyosisi! dunno her problem with yoruba people. h
