angelo234:

I need a very competent personnel who can teach to make money online through selling and promotion of some product on google through clickbank

Why would you wait for a "competent" person. Why not go to www.google.com and search for "how to promote clickbank product using google adwords".

You'll get it there for free. If you want a personell, (not many people do it in NIgeria).

The ones that really do it will not have the time to train you because you may not be able to afford their fees(except you can cough up 100k for a 4 day lesson); likewise, the ones that train you, are not even doing it, they only learnt how to do it just by reading a book.

So go and use google.com to learn.

And so i shared the three ways that you can m.ake mo.ney on.line. As a revision, they are below:

==> Selling their own product/service online

==> Selling someone else product online

==> Selling advertising space (also called I.ncome from advertising).

Now i am going to expand on this a little further and i really want you to pay attention. This is because what i am about to tell you, no matter how simple it is is crucial to the success of what you want to do online.

We already maintained that to make money online, you have to sell something. And i have had so many people asking what they can sell online. We are coming to that in a little while.

So if we look at those three ways:

a. Selling personal product/services: There are two types of products and services and they can be classified as Tangible and Intangible.

Tangible products/Services are the ones you can touch with your hand.

Intangible products/services are the ones you can't feel with your physical hands, but you can see/feel the value it gives.

So lets say for example, you go to www.amazon.com and you buy a book which is a physical book, if the book is delivered to you through the Nigerian postal service, this book is physical paper and its considered Tangible.

Lets say you purchase the book online and you were able to download the book on the internet in form of PDF to your computer instantly, then that is called Intangible product, simply because you cannot feel a PDF/ebook with your hand.

Also, if i design a website for you online, it is an Intangible service, however, if i print a flyer/newsletter/business card for you, its a Tangible product. Do you read this? Do you understand?, Are you following me?, Good. If you don't understand this, go back up and read this again.

Now, the above is just an example.

Other Tangible products could include: Charcoal (exporting), TV's, Video Games, or any physical thing that can be marketed online.

Other Intangible products include: Downloadable Videos, Audios, E-bo.oks, Softwares, membership subscription, newsletter subscription etc

Now that i have explained this bit, lets move on.

So if i have a product of my own, I can decide to sell it online. This product could be tangible or intagible. It doesnt matter, as long as i own the product, i can sell them online.

This is the basics of the first way; which is "Selling my own product".

Now, let me give you two good examples:

Example 1: Do you know Brian Tracy? If you don't know him, let me tell you a bit about him. You see; Brian is one of the best personal Development Coach of our time. He owns a company called Brian Tracy International and all he sells is Intangible products in form of Audios, Ebooks and Videos. They are Intangible products of what he created as a motivational speaker. So if he creates something like "How to become a better person" Audio CD, He can sell this CD online. This is what he does and his company makes over $1 million in a year.

The product is his and he sells them and make all the profits

Example 2: Do you know Tom Hsieh? You most likely won't know him. This guy has a website called www.zappos.com and when he started, he sells Shoes. This guy import shoes and then sell it for a higher margin. In 2009 (not sure of the year), he did over $1 billion Dollars in sales!. I don't mean millions o, 1 Billion! That is like 80% of what some Nigerian banks does.

You know what's funny about this, this guy does not have a physical shop. He sells all of them online.

So Brians products are Intangible while Tom's products are Tangible and you know what? They both sell them online.

I hope the above just explained a bit about the first way. If you have a product, start thinking of how to sell it online now, just like the above. If you have any ideas, simply start scribbling them down.

Once i explain the other two ways of making mone online, we are going to be moving to core marketing and selling training, where i'll show you how to harness the above.

I told you, this will be COMPLETELY different from what the GURU's told you. I am sure they told you you need all those various accounts(p.a.y.pal, dorm, cl.ckba.nk etc) and then you spend months trying to open them.

I am teaching you core marketing stuffs, make use of it.

Thanks gbengailot, I find this very interesting. Please continue. I am reading!

I am one of those that hate sales. You have got me thinking, if I could sell for someone, why not sell for myself.

Its ok to hate sales. I do as well. However, i learnt it. Think about it, you had to sell yourself to your employer before you were employed. The only reason why we all hate sales is because:

a. We personally have -ve attitude towards people who sell to us
b. We don't believe in the product we are selling
c. We believe selling has to be face to face (selling to someone physically by carrying products round town).

Remember the Oga in your office that you had to convince to increase the budget of your department, you sold him your idea, so you know sales, lol

Now i have explained to you in my earlier post that there are just 3 ways you can make money online, irrespective of what anybody tells you.

Now i am going to explain how this works and how its done.

Now, before i go on,  I h ave to bring something to your notice. I remembered when i started my career. As a young person venturing into the Job market, it was quite difficult getting my first JOB. I was young, inexperienced and also with a  no qualification. I mean, if you never went to University, you are not expected to have a DEGREE certificate.

And so, while looking for any work i could get, i discovered that no one would employ someone like me. It was at this time that i started applying for just about any job. It doesn't matter what kind of Job it is, i just send in my own application.

And of all the applications i sent out, the only Job interview i got was for a sales position. I would man the telephones and for every sales i generate, i'll earn a commission. If i don't make any sales, then i don't earn any money.

In Nigerian parlance, this is shitty job. Not even the dumbest person i know of would want a job like this, but since i had no choice, i took it. I hate selling. I find it difficult winning arguments and meeting new people so selling (either over the telephone or face to face) is something i NEVER would want to do.

But i took this Job and i keep on at it. I knew i had bills to pay, and it's either i make something out of this or I go back to Job Hunting.

And for 3 months, i continued in this Job until i got a better offer. But in those months, i learnt the techniques of selling. And i'll share them here:

a. Without sales, whichever company you currently work for will not be able to pay your Salary (yes you, the one that hates selling).

b. Its not hard to sell. If you learn the mechanics of how it works

c. Its the most single important skill you must learn if you want to start your own business (either online or offline).

And that comes to what i want to say:

THERE IS NO WAY YOU WILL MAKE MONEY ONLINE IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO SELL SOMETHING

Yes, i mean it. If you are one of the individuals who want to learn how to make money without selling something, please don't bother. Stick to your JOB and get paid monthly. This is an Ocean with Big sharks, if you can't swim for survival, then don't even bother jumping into it.

I have heard of individuals who want to make money online and they say something in this line "Can you help me set it up and it will COUGH up money on Autopilot". Let me say this, there is nothing like that.

Really, if any GURU could make money on autopilot, why would they want to set it up for you instead of setting it up for themselves?

If you want to EARN, You must learn to SELL, I repeat, If You want to EARN, you must learn to SELL. If you can't SELL, then you won't EARN, no matter how much you try to, no matter how many ebooks and softwares you buy.
Business / Re: How To Make Money Online In Nigeria - Tutorial by gbengaijot(m): 1:25pm On Oct 05, 2011
So how do Guru'smake their money online? I am going to share it with you. I want you to put everything you are doing to the side. Stop watching all the porns on your computer and close your facebook page, because i am going to teach you what most marketers will never share with you.

Instead of sharing the truth with you, they'd prefer to keep it to themselves, and that is the essence of this tutorial.

Now, you might be wondering, how can you make money online? What's the best way to go about it? You are about to find out:

Now, if i ask you or anyone on this forum, "How many different ways can one make money online", quite a lot of people will start listing 10-15, 20 30 ways to make money online. Infact, if you do a google search, you'll find a book titled 135 ways to make money on the internet.

As much as there is a profileration of such nuances online, i am pleased to tell you that there are only THREE ways to make money online.

Yes, only 3 ways and trust me, they are very simple:

==> Selling their own product/service online

==> Selling someone else product online

==> Selling advertising space (also called Income from advertising).

Yes, those are the only three ways and every other thing they've always told you, hinge on to this. No matter how well a particular sales letter was written or no matter how "shiny" a software is, it has to boil down to the three things above.

Now, i always laugh and even shake my head each time i see newbies and even half baked internet marketers always looking for ways to "open a clickbank account" and open a "paypal account".

Its just like someone trying to build a house and the first thing they are doing is trying to buy the furnitures in the house. Truth is, if you want to make money online, you ABSOLUTELY don't need those two.

I know it might shock you and this might go against what everyone has been telling you. But if you stick to what i am teaching, you'll know for sure that that is the truth.

In my next tutorial, i'll be dissecting the three methods and breaking it down to little pieces. If you have questions, comment, please do post. I hpe you are reading this insightful post!

Free Tutorial - The Hidden Secrets Of How Gurus Make Money Online In Nigeria

And so i decided to start this thread because i notice that various Nairalanders are asking questions on how they can make money online in Nigeria and each time they ask, there are bunch of individuals and "half baked" marketers who's only suggestion is for the individual asking to buy their ebook and their product etc.

Before i go on, i'd like to state the following:

a. I am not selling you anything on this thread whatsoever. So if you are one of the individuals whose job is to go about every thread insulting people, please don't do it here. I am not one of those who come here to sell something.

b. Everything i say on this thread are based on my own experience from what i do (not from what i read like other people). If you think i wrote something in a specific way and you feel that i am wrong or that you think that;s not the way to do it, then you should go and start your own thread.

c. Please do not send me a private email asking me to help you set up your businesss (i get a lot of emails on this). Why would i want to create your biz for you when i can easily do it for myself.

d. Everything i say is my own opinion. I am not a lawyer, not an accountant or a professional. I'll not be liable for any positive or negative result you get as a result of reading my post/tutorial.

e. I am going to type without editing my post. If you are looking for someone who has a PHD in English, go to University. Overlook my typos, and read the gems in my words.

f. I only want action takers on this thread. I want you to ask me questions and i want you to implement what i teach you. That's the only way you can start out/improve on your business etc.

Now that we have all of that out of the way, lets get started on this training. It will go on and on until i lose steam for it. Feel free to add stuffs along the way.

To your success,

Trust me, not much Nigerians wants to bu/ready a book because they enjoy reading it. The ones that buy/read are because they are compelled to as a result of academic, career or the fact that they want to get out of poverty(the ones that read self help/financial ones).

Over the past two weeks, i have frequent the local library in my area (outside Nigeria) and i discovered that English people love reading, even for the sake of it.

Creating a library for profit is like trying to "Encourage" people to read, that is not a business, its a support group.

I believe you want to do this for profit, if thats the case, find another biz to do. Trust me, i have been in the infobiz for 5 years and i can tell from experience how quite a few Nigerians think about reading.

Seun, ask yourself, how many programmers/biz people/ that you know that read except you? The others would prefer to attend computer schools, business seminars etc to listen rather than read.

I learnt a lesson from the guy who sold over $220 million worth of books;

Lesson 1 - Sell what people want, not what they need!

Lesson 2 - Find hungry markets

Lesson 3 - Find out what they are hungry about

Lesson 4 - Satisfy their hunger.

i followed that process and i did well,
Business / Re: How Can I Make Money Online Without Owning A Single Product Of My Own by gbengaijot(m): 8:22pm On Sep 13, 2011
Its very simple to make money online without a product. You just need to learn how to do it. If you are not ready to learn + implement, then don't even bother.

Don't listen to anyone suggesting various different ways on how you can make money online. Find the fact yourself using google and stick with it.

Here's what i'll advice you:

a. Learn about digital products. Search for clickbank, paydotcom and plimus(they accept Nigerians) (Use google to search)

b. Learn how to search for what people want to buy. Use google keyword tool (search for it on google)

c. Learn how to set up simple Squeeze pages

d. Learn how to write autoresponder

e. Learn how to drive traffic to website

f. Start taking action! Start taking action,

If you use what i have shown you above, you'll be able to start your own online business easily without buying useless information from individuals who don't even have a clue about what they are selling.

And stop asking people on forum. Use Google to search for the thing i listed above, and read, read read and implement.

That's the advice of someone who has been there, done that!

The Internet is not a casino/lottery, its a platform

A lot of individuals approach me and ask me how they can "make money" on the internet. I simply replied by saying, i don't know how to make money on the internet, but that i know how to use the internet as a tool to make money.

While the above statement might look a little bit confusing, its actually true. There is no money on the internet. The internet is just a tool that you can use to enhance the way you do business. The internet is not a casino or lottery where you can win money by luck or make money because some "guru" showed you the secret to making money or channeling the cash to you.

The funny thing is, thats how some newbies sees it. They think they can do some magic abracadabra, and walah, Money will flow to them. And they even go to the extent of believing that once they pay a certain GURU a certain amount of money, they'll get make some money as a result of it. If you've been to a lot of seminars or speak to individuals who are trying to make moeny online, you'll hear phrases like "i bought Mr Guru's ebook, he said his system can make me $10,000 weekly, but yet i am yet to make a dime".

While i understand that there are many fake Guru's out there (individuals who claim that they know, but in actual sense, they are idiots), the point is, the individuals who are looking to make money as a result of buying a Guru's ebook are simply idiots themselves.

A while back, an individual rang me and ranted about how he has tried to make money online, bought many ebooks and yet never made a dime. I asked him a simple question, "tell me 3 things you've done in the last 7 days to improve on your business". He couldn't give me a single answer.

The internet is not a lottery/casino that you keep trying, and hoping to be in LUCk one day that you'll win. It is a platform. A platform that can help you enhance your business. A platform that can help you sell a product, A platform that can help you reach a wider audience. That is exactly what it is. It is "in itself" not a money maker. It is simply a tool.

You can compare the internet to a "Newspaper". Can you make money on a newspaper? No! Can you advertise on your newspaper? Yes! Can you reach a wide audience with a newspaper? Yes! Can you make money on a newspaper without selling something? No!

That's how you should see the internet, but irrespective, the Internet is bigger. Bigger than newspapers/ TV combined. It is a technological tool. The more you realize this, the better you'll start learning how things work online.

How do i know that the internet is a tool? You have the Television right? Now, on the internet , you have Youtube.com

You have newspapers in real life (daily mail, guardian etc), online you have news websites like www. bbc. co.uk and www. 234next. com

In real life you have pen pals and address books, online we have facebook.com and myspace.com where you can connect to friends on the other side of the world etc.

Let it sink deep into your mindset. The internet is simply a platform. It is just a tool. It does not have money flowing through it (literarily), It does not have a stash of Billions kept in a safe deposit box that only some "Gurus" have access to it. It is simply a platform that is accessed by anybody!

Go back to the start of this article, ensure you read it all over again, its very important! This is the start of a long series, and it will help you understand a lot what took me 5 years to learn, It will shorten your journey and it will help you start out as a newbie. before you go out there to buy another GURU's secret or ring up any nairalander advertising their email address and telephone number, ensure you read this article to the end. At least, by doing so, you'll know exactly what you are doing and why you are doing it and it will dinstiguish you from the individuals who are always whining about how much money they've lost.

When you are rich, you'll attract haters.

Elizade built his empire selling cars and owning a Toyota Distributorship. If you follow this old man's life, you'll notice that he's been entirely upright in his business.

I personally respect him as a godly and ethical business man, better than Mike Adenuga & Aliko Dangote.

Its easy for any jobless individual to stay behind their PC keyboard and call anyone "useless" because they decided to create a UNI from the money they made from the many years of sweat!

If you have a problem with the way other people are doing things, fix it by imporving on yourself and doing what they didn't do, rather than criticize them.

focusx04; my advice:

a. Find a product

b. Sell the product

c. make money

It doesnt matter what the product is. What you should ask yourself is; is it in demand? You are a student, think about University and what is in demand, then create it and sell to your colleague.

Don't listen to anyone asking you to start this and that business,

if you have a computer, then use it to make money. Go to www.google.com and search for "how to run an online biz".

reading some individuals comment on Nairaland makes me cringe. Shows how uninformed some are.

Before you post or insult please always use google to search for information or better still try things out yourself.

1. Before he won the bid, he would have a proof of agreement with banks to lend money

2. It was after the contract came that they stalled investing the funds (they did lot of meetings and the bank reneged on their promise; contract; agreeement)

3. No millionaire sponsors project with their money. They use banks. Thats the essence of banks

4. Nigerian banks are myopic in their lending structure. In the UK, you can get a £25,000 loan spread over 5 years. In Nigeria, no bank will lend you 1 million over a 2 year period.

If you doubt me, take your small business proposal (an already existing biz o) to the bank where you have some money. Ask them for a 1 million Naira loan and see if they'll give it to you.

The bank should have just asked the Government to GUARANTEE the loan, if they are scared that babalakin will not pay back.

That is what the UK govt did recently, (i understand that we are two different nations, but i mean, banking is same everywhere, isnt it?)

Now, can anyone tell me how we can have more jobs, when we are allowing foreign institutions to invest in our country because local banks cannot get their "sogundogoji" (turn 20 to 40 instantly) returns within 1 year.

Education / How Long Does It Take For Toefl Original Certificate To Arrive Via Postal Mail by gbengaijot(m): 12:03pm On Feb 15, 2011
Does anyone know how long it takes from test date for Toefl certificate to arrive to a test takers address.

Also, will they be able to send this to a physical address (like an office address) rather than a P.O.Box?

Anyone with experience, do kindly let me know please,
