Business / Re: Availability Of A Loan Of =n=3m by gbengaijot(m): 10:28am On Aug 18, 2008
i don't think the problem is lack of 'start up' capital, personally i think its the lack of the foundation that an individual needs to run a business. If you have a very good foundation, you do not need a loan.

Personally i'd say that No start up requires a loan if you think big and start small.

Therefore, follow NJ's advice, start on a small scale.
Properties / Re: 1 Bedroom Flat In Milton Keynes For Sale. Excellent Bargain by gbengaijot(m): 10:59pm On Aug 16, 2008
@naijacutee, i doubt if this is real ( I stand to be corrected tho)

1. In this age, i doubt if you could get a flat for 60 thousand pounds in milton keynes. However, the credit crunch could be a good reason for a downturn in the property market.

Also, NO one, i repeat, No one deposits one year rent in advance. Where do you want them to ge tit from?

D juice is not worth the squeeze,

Did this guy paid for this service - No
Has he used this service before - No
Did anyone complained to him that they never got the news - No
Did anyone complained to him that they've been scammed? - No

So?

Because he could not get the news for free? - Yes
Because he was told that the news comes out 2-3 mins, but not all the time? - Yes
Because he wants his argument to win the case? - Yes

Why the stress?

seyimags, really, this guy's juice is not worth the squeeze, so leave him. I wonder how someone who claims to be a B.sc Economics Holder be such an ignorant control freak.

I think the best thing is to stop answering this guy and get on with your work instead of engaging "a freebie wanting freak".

@naijacutee, i know you must have been very busy. really, i have nothing o say more, except that nicolas shoudl get a life!!!

Mr Nicolas, you claim to be a B.sc Economics Holder but Your act did surprise me. However, i have no issues against you. Please next time be careful what you say/write as it could be used against you in the court of law.

Thank you

Business / Re: You Have Money And You Need Business Ideas? by gbengaijot(m): 9:52pm On Aug 14, 2008
Except you win the lottery or you happen to be a recipient of a will, its unlikely that someone with huge cash will need business ideas.

My reason is that the person must be a fast thinking person to have generated the money from an initial idea anyway.

However, if you have really heavy cash, its best to invest in properties. Its the safest in terms of appreciation for now.

@naijacutee, you are right, this thread needs pruning. I see a lot of post on "investing in internet business". Except you are prepared to start the next DotCom company that will take the world by storm, YOU DO NOT require so much money to start internet business, moreso, its not about the money, its about the dedication . infact, apart from forex, no internet business requires more than $500 to start. Moreso, Forex require due diligence and i don;t advise a novice to invest in it!
Adverts / Re: I Need A God-fearing Forex And Fixed Odds Guru Who Can Teach Me One On On Ser by gbengaijot(m): 5:24pm On Aug 14, 2008
Ok, Here is my own side of it all, i must warn that its a long one;

NJ, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Really, i am appalled by the mr nicholas claims. not because of his grieviances, but because of the fact that he is mistaking me for someone else. I'll try to clear the issue on ground, and really, this is the only post i'll make in regards to this issue (I know what arguments can be like on nairaland).

Rightly as naijacutee said, i trade forex personally, and i teach people one-on-one how to trade. I DO NOT PERSONALLY SELL ANY FOREX RELATED MATERIALS. I'll repeat again, I DO NOT PERSONALLY SELL ANY FOREX RELATED MATERIALS . Yes, i know what i am talking about. In as much as i trade and show/teach people how to trade through my strategies, i do not spam neither do i post any advert on nairaland.

Gbenga Aijotan runs a firm called opportunityworld which is an entrepreneurship and e-commerce consultancy firm. Basically, all i do is teach people how they can "work From home" as a freelancer and how to harnes the power of google to make money through its adsense program. This is because these two methods of making money online are the easiest and they cost very very low to start up with. In terms of selling materials, i do not go beyond this AT THE MOMENT.

Now, concerning Fxpromanager. I will not claim ignorance of FXPromanager. THis is because i happen to share the same office with the person who owns FX promanager, and i help out in teaching at their forex seminars. Just like i do at various "financial empowerment and entrepreneurship" seminars i teach at day in day out. At each seminar i teach, i am only a resource person, and never do i sell any forex product because i know how risky it is and how many people cry foul when they lose money and tend to blame others on their loss.

nicolas:

Naijacutee as a respected member on this forum, i was disappionted that the Gbenga Aijotan u refered to was another hungry Forex scammer!! he runs fxpromanager dot com and in this link he claims to get news releases 2 to 3 mins before actual release, if a victim send him 5000 naira, I don't know if other services he provides are real, but i am 100% sure that this 2-3 mins before news service is a fradulent scam on his part and he could not even prove otherwise.
www fxpromanager dot com/newsmaster , that is the link.

Mr nicolas, from your quote above, you claim that i own fxpromanager. The account number on that link you gave is "Lydway Global Network", a company that i train people on their behalf on Forex Trading during their seminars just like i do for every other person/corporate organisation that invites me . Now, i wonder how that relates to me in terms of me selling you a "News signal directly".

You also claim to have called me. I am very very positive that it was not me you spoke to. because if you called my line directly on this particular issue, i would have told you to call the respective person in charge and not me. you provided a link to the fxpromanager website. The link you gave has a number on there, that number is definitely not mine. Quite a few people on this forum (inclusive of naijacutee) have both my personal and business line and they can confirm that the number on that link is not mine. I think you should call the person you spoke to and ask him what his name is.

Also, you authoritatively said i am a scammer because "what was on the website is different from what you were told over the phone". I do not know who you spoke to directly, but may i say that your claim is really undermining, why, because the last time i checked "Dictionary.com", Scamming simply means "a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, esp. for making a quick profit; swindle.".

You did not speak over the phone with "Gbenga Aijotan" ( i am sure of this) and yet come up here to claim that i am a scammer "WHEN I DID NOT SWINDLED YOU". don't you think that is libel?

On another note;
I have used the news signal service before it was launched, I was invited on the team to test it because of my expertise and i will say categorically that the service actually deliver faster than forexfactory.com . This is all i can say about the news alert. IT IS FASTER THAN FOREX FACTORY.

If you use forex factory just like me, i recieve the news between 30 seconds to 1 minute after the news times ( no thanks to my starcoms slow connection and Forex factory slow webserver)

After i got a call from NJ telling me to respond to this thread, i decided to call the person in charge of FXpromanager News alert to hear his own part of the story so as to clear the air on the issue. He told me specifically that on so many occassions, they've got the news alert between 2-3 minutes before it is released by forex factory. But this is not always the case, as it varies between 2-3 to as low as 10 seconds before the guys at forexfactory.com release theirs. and that is why he has 2-3 minutes on the website, but at the same time warn customers over the phone that that is the earliest time they could get the news and it could be on the same time as the news is released. . I guess he was trying to explain this to you and you mistook that for scamming.

He also stated that they have a "terms and conditions" on that website which is there for everyone to read. I believe that every company irrespective of what/who they are will always want to put their best performance on their website.

You have not even used this services, Neither have you made payment for you to get the news alert. You did not claim to have paid for the services and asked for a refund, and it was not given to you. I suppose that what people assume here is that you've paid for the service and the service was not delivered to you and you are crying foul that you've been duped!

Last week, someone added me on my yahoo messenger claiming that he got my details from Nairaland. He asked me if i was a trader, and i said yes. He then asked me how much i train people, and i said "i am an individual who trade forex, and he asked me for any forex services, and i recommended www.fxpromanger.com" I did not even discuss anything in relation o either buying or selling any particular product/service, irrespective of what nature it was.I am not sure, i might be wrong but i am assuming thats you.

i'll say that you should please be careful what you say about people. I really do not have any -ve sentiments against u concerning what you said, but i think you should be sure before labelling people.

Just anyone could check my past post on this forum from my profile, don't you think that if i am hungry, i would have pasted adverts on nairaland telling people to purchase one thing or the other from me??

I make enough money online than offline to keep body and soul together, and i do not need anybody to purchase a thing directly from me to be comfortable.

Finally,
If you want to learn about forex; free resources are available at www.babypips.com and really, if you want forex alert, use www.forexpeacearmy.com This is also free.

Business / Re: Is Anyone Into 'Data Entry' Business? by gbengaijot(m): 8:01pm On Jul 07, 2008
@poster, I personally will not suscribe to you calling anyone before they give you more information on data entry.

Look, the data entry that requires membership are probably paid surveys and really, they do not fit into what you can do as a Nigerian. It is very simple to work online and get paid for it. SImply go to www.odesk.com and www.elance.com and you can sign up for a freelance data entry Job. Odesk does not require you to pay any membership fees at all, although you'll be required to pass a Readiness Test.

Never pay membership fees t sign up for a "work From Home" opportunity. There are a lot of scams out there. However, elance and guru.com charges you a little token per year

I wish you goodluck

MMmmmmmmm, @100 Bars,

May i ask, what is blackface name? Is it Ahkabue?

Now, i am not backing up blackface (Whats my take?) But do you realise that he might not even be aware of the unrefunded charges??

This is not to say that he is innocent though. I personally believe that you paid to his manager, and not to Blackface himself. sint that correct?

Business is more of negotiation. There are ways to get your money back if you can negotiate it. Posting in Forums does not solve the problem. I suppose it only builds sentiments.
Music/Radio / Re: 9ice Is Going Global- 9ice To Perform At Mandelas Birthday Concert In London by gbengaijot(m): 3:28am On Jun 30, 2008
Me think 9ice was simply da bomb with the live performance. He was backed by the Soweto Gospel Choir and i noticed that he had to sing part of the chorus himself. This is suppose to be the job of the backup choir.

However, despite his first appearance outside of Nigeria, and a show of that calibre, he still exhude a lot of confidence. I really love that. And just watching this video with a totally enhanced Audio ( No thanks to those whack up speakers at Nigerian Events) reveals one of the best vocal talent we have.

9ice was simply Nice. I love his style coz he is quite a unique and original type,

From the many post on here, i think a lot of us are either been sentimental about our Faith - Because we all reverred "Daddy G.O" or somehow because we just hate Obasanjo.

I for one, do not, and will never engage in any arguments regarding to miracles and healings. I personally do not try to find out if they are truth or not. Why, because my relationship is directly with God and not man.

Miracles are real, either we like it or not, I have experienced it before, I am a living witness to it. however, we should understand that a lot of God's ways are mysterious, so why question it

Asking for proofs is the bane of Nigerians(sorry if i seem to have generalised). We always want proofs, even in the instance of money making. When someone claims to have made "Money", we want proofs. If we dont see him drive an expensive car, live in VGC, wear babaringa or suit, then we will not believe him, even though he could have shares and real estate worth 100 million without even having any of the stated luxury. This is because WE DO NOT trust the person next to us.

My point, Stop requesting for proofs of miracles and utterances from pastors. take that issue with your God to convince you. For those who are freethinkers or unbelievers, simply understand your own belief, Its as simple as that!

And for those saying that Pastor E.A Adeboye is totally wrong for frolicking with Obasanjo, I must say that we should not judge from afar off. One thing for sure is that, Redemption camp is for everybody. Even witches, wizards, armed robbers, 419ners, cheats, freethinkers, party goers, occult members come there to pray. The main objective of the camp is not to start picking people out for their wrongs or to punish them, it was suppose to be a place of worship. About Obasanjo coming on the pulpit, This is a case for another day,

COnclusively, follow peace with all men, This is what my bible tells me,

I know many people will attack my post and raise insults. I will not engage in any war of words with anyone and i really mean it.

For those who always lose an argument with their guys, sorry about it all. I suppose it is due to human male ego. It takes wisdom, grace and patience for a guy to admit to be wrong,

I tell you the best. Working online as a freelance is possible. By visiting www.guru.com, www.odesk.com www.ifreelance.com, you can sign up for an account and bid for jobs. when you get such jobs, you'll be get it done and you get paid for what you do.

Never pay any money online to get a job. The only thing that you could pay for are ebooks on how to go about the process. If you pay membership fees online, you are more likely to be scammed.

We are Playing Ghana next. You guys should note that we are getting from frypan to fire. One good consolation at least, is that we did'nt lose out in the first round.

Thank God to Drogba and dem lots, I wonder how we would have scaled through.
Today, KANU was the Coach and Motivator for the Team
Yakubu was simply dissapointing, though he scored a goal
Daddy John Mikel Obi is the mastermaker. He is a truly zidane, Okocha like player today. That guy really has Maddddddddd Talent.
Odemwingie sooooooo Much was the bedrock of that team today. I can't praise him enough.

Others were good as well, Yobo was his normal self, not really over outstanding.

Berti vogt is really really stupid innit?

Mistake 1: He removed Odemwingie ( who is the only two footed player) that can use both right and left leg and put in Lazy leg Utaka. Odemwingie was more sharper than Utaka in both game.

Mistake 2. How on earth can he play Mikel infront of Olofinjana. Mikel is not good as he use to be as an attacking midfielder. Mourinho changed his gamestyle. Can't Vogts ( it sound like maggot, does'nt it?) get that into his cement head?

Mistake 3. His three changed were strikers. Jeezzzzzzzzzz, did he not consider tht the midfield needs a makeover at all?

This lady is sure the best Nigerian soul singer i ever know. Cobhams is ever inspiring me. Cobhams is the greatest of all the greatest producer i know. Cobhams is someone that i have never met, but that influences every bit of my life. Cobhams as a producer gives me so much energy that i just can't give up on anything that i do. Webmasters / Re: Lazy People Sell Links, Foolish People Buy Them. by gbengaijot(m): 1:05pm On Nov 10, 2007
@NaijaCutie, I feel every word you detailed on here and i must say that YOU ARE VERY RIGHT. And if i must say my own piece,

Did you notice that sometimes ago, the rave of the moment was Nigerian-Made HYIP's llike Treasureline, Notspecto, coolcash, Wealthsolutions and the likes of others. I remembred then that so many people bashed Seun for putting the threads in "scam prone business" and he nearly got e-mobbed for that. Then (up till May this year, ) so many people were saying "they knew someone who made millions, they know this person who made trillions" and they all give their own different success stories. Fortunately, before the rave died down and caused chaos for so many people, i was opportuned to visit treasureline and i saw quite a lot of things for myself. Deep within me, i could tell that they were doing a kind of matrix system of payout which is likely to crash in the long run. As at that time, Deolu Akinyemi's blog was of immense information to everyone. Sometimes later, HYIP died. So many people lost their money. I even had a rumour that a popular governor invested about 35 Million Naira in such scheme, can you imagine. Since then, no one made mention of anything again in regards to that

The next craze that came after that is "Forex Trading". Everywhere you go, every newspaper you read, every thread you visit, are all screaming with forex Trading and training. At some point, Robot trading was introduced. so many people had a feeling that they could make sooooo much money online within mnutes without them doing much work. So many people invested, they traded and lost so much money. Being a forex trader myself, i knew its easy to lose money. I had quite couple of people who called me sometimes ago after reading my post on my blog/website about how they could go about forex trading and i explained that its not for everyone. Infact so many half baked Forex trading institution sprang up, claiming to have the surest system and replacing hardwork with robotic trading. Somehow, Forex is dying out at a fast pace,

Now the next craze is MLM, Diamond cash, Getaway( My friend call it Get Lost) and the likes of others.Every Newspaper is screaming MLM. While i don't have any issue against MLM at all, i must say that the Nigerian Mentality is that of a "one way Traffic". In the quest to make easy money, we end up losing more and more.
We are easily gullibled by reading the stories of people who bought cars or claim to make millions when they are infact lyging just to sell their wares. One of such is an advert i saw on the pages of Success Digest magazine sometimes ago( about two weeks now). A guy actually bought a full page to display his brand new car and claim to have made 22,000 USD and bought a brand new car from MLM. And after all the bragging and stuffs, His advert cajoled readers to come and join the MLM he invested in, Hundreds of people, actually did.  Now my worries are that, not everyone that ventures into this will eventually make it.

All i know is that, when MLM crashes, or lose its popular taste, another rave will get into the market, thereby making the pursuit of "small work, big pay" a continous process with about 80% not making headway in the race

So whats the Next Step:
1.Its best for an average Nigerian to have an entrepreneurship mindest and build on their existing idea, irrespective of what they are. I have discovered something in Enterpreneurship, The business i do now, is only a steppng stone to a bigger idea i have in my head. I have a small business i started about three months ago that has a cash inflow of about N30K every week. Each time my friends laugh at me at the low cashflow, and ask me why i am starting a small business instead of building a large one, i simply tell them that what i have is a MEANS TO AN END. Do you have a big idea?, think big and start small, The ideas and cash you pulled together from your small business can definitely finance the big business in the big picture.

2.I do not believe in borrowing cash from banks to start a small business. I believe the fact that the money i need to start a big idea in my head is with every Nigerian. If i can squeeze the money out of their hand by ofering them a fair priced product or service, and then gather the capital bit by bit, i am sure in the MEANS TO AN END. I know this could take quite a long time, but the juice is well worth the squeeze.

3. Invest more in knowledge. Please don't attend seminars( you are better of buying books and Seminar CDS). Read through various websites. For more information on starting up a business, you can download "The bootstrappers Bible" from my blog(see my signature). It has been a lot of help for me. There is no substitute for knowledge. visit other blogs like www.cashflowsuite..com, www.deoluakinyemi.com, www.stevepavlina.com for more knowledge. it will be of help.

4.Patience is a virtue, I know its difficult to be patient(infact, some Nigerians think its unfair) but having passion for what you do can help you to be more patient as well. Enjoy what you do.

5. Do not be afraid of failure, A business whizkid once told me a phrase, "Do the damn thing", yes, just do it, don't be bothered about what people say about your small startup. Just make sure that what you are doing is completely right and you are not leaving any stones unturned.

6. Don't follow trends, especially the nigerian trend. Dont follow the Nigerian mentality, just do you own thing and be unique.

&. Lastly, don't let a brick wall discourage you. Instead, look for ways to corner round the brickwall so as to continue on your journey to success. In my own experience, one of such brickwall is lack of electricity. i simply meandred round it by saving up some money(FROM CASH FINLOWS OF COURSE) and buying a small Generator, Inverter and Battery.

I guess my little post has been of immense help. While i know that my post may generate a lot of mixed feelings, i still believe in the fact that there is no subsititute for hardwork, if you want to be successful.

Politics / Mrs. Etteh’s Resignation—where Is Mr. Etteh? by gbengaijot(m): 7:04pm On Oct 31, 2007
Hi everyone. a friend of mine sent this to me today. i found it very interesting and thot that other Nigerians too must read it.

Etteh’s Resignation—Where is Mr. Etteh?
Mr. Commentator

At long last, the nausea and odium that has affected Nigeria for the past few weeks has dissipated. Madam Patricia ‘haidresser’”Etteh, the woman of many firsts has dishonourably resigned. Oh, what a fall from grace.
You need to see her weeping in the picture on the cover of the Guardian the day after the incident.
Why was she weeping? Was it because she loved Nigeria and her fellow countrymen? No. Far from it.
She was crying because she had lost her position as number 4 person in the nation, along with the perks of office. No more security guards running around her, no more perks of office. And to worsen the matter, she spent the whole money on a house, that she now has to vacate for someone else—a house that she spent a whopping N628 million to renovate.
Oyo state workers should have gone in buses to Abuja to protest and maybe live in that house, if only to assuage their hurt feelings. That amount is around a third of their monthly wage bill, for which they went on strike for months.

Earlier on, I said that madam hairdresser was a woman of many firsts. She has an unparalleled record in the history of this country. She was the first female speaker, the first speaker to reign as speaker with a ‘’school shirt certificate’ (Ex-speaker Buhari’s case was about a university degree), the first hairdresser speaker, and the first leader without a spouse to show the public.
However, there is an issue that has bothered me in al this saga. It’s surprising that in all this show of shame this past few months, Mr. Etteh did not show up to support his wife.
All this while, he never bothered to correct his wife or conversely take up her defence publicly.
Ambassador Ahmadu Ali, GCFR (garrison commander of the federal republic) was the one who filled in that role, almost leading me to believe that he was the anonymous Mr. Etteh.
However, my friends reminded me that Mrs Ali, whom the PDP could also not impose on Nigerians like Mrs. Etteh is very much around, and so, this couldn’t be.

I think that the whole crisis should be blamed on mr. etteh, wherever he is. It was due to his absence that the whole crisis took the whole dimension it took.
For instance, if he had been around and actively playing his manly role, madam speaker would not have requested for a massaging machine worth N98million, much more than what a federal university with thousands of staff, academic and non academic gets as monthly salary allocation.

If he had been around, madam speaker would not have needed to stay in a hotel costing half a million per nite.
Some people who never mind their own business would have wished to see mr. etteh along with his wife in public rather than allowing rumour mongers to have a field day. Maybe that would have changed everything since.
Well, it was wise for her to have resigned rather than be impeached.
Her tears after being removed (or having resigned), which were signs of a selfish person rather than a committed Nationalist would have dried up by now.

The same woman who could afford to hold her birthday in the USA and sit next to the president and other VIP’s, now has to love like a normal legislator.
Last week alone, hundreds of Nigerians lost their lives on the lagos-ibadan expressway. It was all over the papers.
Mrs Etteh and her ilk read about it, but were least concerned.
Not one tear was shed for the many families and people affected by this incident. Not even a message of condolence or any show of sympathy in any way.
As far as our useless and selfish leaders are concerned, only those who die in airplanes are worthy of remembrance.

In conclusion, in my view, the winner in this saga is not any group in the National assembly.
Nigerians are the winners in this scenario. Nigerians stood up to speak their minds without fear of the ‘god’in Ota, just like they did on the third term issue.
The press of course made their case and stood by it, just like they did last year.

The Nigerian people are the true winners in this case. No longer will any politician, no matter how highly placed trample on the feelings of Nigerians anyhow and think they can get away with it.
No longer will any public officer loot the treasury, bribe a few people and think it doesn’t matter.
As things stand now, all the reps that were in that meeting where the money was shared should be removed from office, as they were also part of the fraud.
The message is clear to all political office holders—Nigerians have been cheated long enough. The people are now fighting back with one voice.
I strongly believe that as the nation keeps on standing against wrongs such as this, the nation will soon change.

To mrs Etteh, I suggest that her fans and supporters should help her to search for Mr. etteh wherever he is.
At least, it is his duty to comfort her in this her self inflicted trying time, and only him can perform that role.
