Too bad i didnt se4 this thread on time.

I can see that we all have a non chalant attitude, thinking that because this guy carried heroine, then he should not be saved.

I wonder how many of us will not frown if someone is sentenced to death dfor carrying heroine. What about people who murder, what sentence will they get?.

The Nigerian foreing affairs and embassy overseas have a duty, a duty to serve and protect the interest of any, and i mean any Nigerian Citizen living abroad, even in the face of adversity.

I remembered a case of a british citizen of asian descent who was sentenced to death for murder in pakistan( I guess i am right) in 1983, and a whole prince charles had to visit pakistan to plead his case before the president. he was released into the hands of the british for him to serve his sentence in England. He has now been released, and taggged.

Please please and please, even though he is guilty, he still have a right to a fair trial, a right to appropriate lawyer, a right to Nigerian consular officials, a right not to be sentenced to death.

Nigeria is sick, and i will say again and again that Nigeria is "Jaga Jaga". I simply dont blame Eedrees for singing that song, infact it was a real inspiration.

Anything goes in Nigeria this days, can you imagine 500 citizens burned in the carnage in lagos, all the government had to say his SORRY!, while they go on fighting on a seat that they will leave within six months.

Let me ask, can they ascertain the names address of everyone that died?, no way. I cant imagine a country of 140 million who does not even have a database of 10 million of its citizen, not to talk of a 19 year old Nigerian who was sentenced to death,

SHAME ON YOU THE PRESIDENCY,, SHAME, !

I will say again and again that some sets of people on this forum lack kolomental etiquette.

@baro, you are even a newbie on this site, and you've started abusing?,

i guess you need to put on your reading glasses and read the forum rules again and again before jumping into conversations.

I never badmouthed both songs, as a matter of fact, i am a fan of Naija Music, and you can prove that by visiting www.naijabrains.com

I simply said the two songs are similar in terms of beat, na lie i lie

I wonder why u mention those guys.

Trust me, i learnt a lot on Nairaland oooo. Music sharing, Java, infact, Nairaland made me more interested in computing.

Calabarman is always the one rocking the sexuality thread. I remember those heate argumens on business threads btw Layi and Kazey,

Where is kazey, can someone fish him out. He seem to be holed up at Nairahost.

I miss lizzy as well. couldnt believe she is not much of a poster on nairaland as she use to be. What about that hot sexy pix of her's?, Gone are those days ooooo.

Layi, sure bro, we go dey run things to the end of time (just like SOULE)man, will sure buzz you when next i hit lagos this year,

And, when has speaking english become a criteria for success?,

I see that as an anxiety to commonize with the western world.

Have you ever heard sean paul speak before?, or kevin little?, or shaggy?,

Yet they sold millions. So why the heck?,

If he was to speak in English and he end up making grammatical mistakes, we will question him, so please let tuface speaks his pidgin english( even baba fela prefers that, despite his many educational background). At least its better than shooting ggrammatical blunders.

I beg tuface, carry go, nothing dey happen.

Also for those who think dbanj is a group, Dbanj is a Solo artiste. if you've seen him on stage with some guys, then itsprobaby 419 crew and Don jazzy of mohits records.

It was sure funny, trust me, i think our Almighty admin is much more better now, lol, at least much more quiet than the military style of leadership then,

We go run this till the end of time

Education / Re: Online Masters, How Acceptable? by gbengaijot(m): 10:59am On Jan 08, 2007
its better to check fatc straight. I think the only course a online degree will be worth doing is computing, journalism and text based courses.

www.open.ac.uk is a good one, they are a correspondence university( not an online degree campus)

you can listen to it at http://www.naijabrains.com/music-player/ as well

Can i just say, please give styl-plus some more time to make a good video. WHy are you in a hurry to watch the video. Do you want them to produce a wack video like that of tufdace "Ole"( i throw up each time i watch it).

They have never failed to appeal to my musical sense. I already have a prototype of how the video will look like in my head and i am just prayin that they dont get below my expectations

its very easy, like installing a software.

You need to buy a webhosting plan( it has to support php mysql) and then you go to www. to download the CMS.

That is the first step

Music/Radio / Re: Why Isn't Nigerian Music Very Popular Internationally? by gbengaijot(m): 10:56am On Jan 07, 2007
while i wont support the shortcomings of home based artiste( please don't call them local artiste), i will want to say that they are only trying to live up to expectations. How many of use listen to Orlandoh Owoh, or King sunny Ade, or Orlandoh Julius, or even FEmi Kuti( trust me, not many Nigerian do like they listen to Psquare and styl-plus-except those that appreciate AfroBeats).

Do you want to know how Nigerian music got to this stage?, its because of poverty. Most of them musicians some to music when all other hopes became lost( not all of them tho).

I want you guys to know that Nigerain artiste do not have thesame opportunity like their western counterpart, hen ce the low quality and lack of sensibility in their song. But the point is that, they've metamorphose in recent years. You can't compare the level of talent tuface has now to when he was with the plantashun boiz,

I have always said this:
When a Nigerian artiste decide to be unique, we always think they are local, when they try to live up to expectations by introducing western influence, we tend to say that they are copy copy,

A shortcoming i found recently:
*does anyone realise that Psquare BizzyBody aprt 2 and faze kolomental are done with exactly thesame beat?, i was freaking out when i head the kolomental coz i cant stop huming bizzy body 2 in my head

A very good Nigerian musician i respect for genuinty till today is Beautiful Nubia and Jeremiah Gyang. I can't underestimate those two artiste,

But May i ask, how many of us know beautiful Nubia, not many, why?, because he sings local genre(even tho most of its in English)

Unfortunately, i dont have time to waste on the telephone to someone who i only have a TV crush on,

so?

The fact that i fancy her doesnt mean i can't make a objective critiscm. it only means that my critiscm will be constructive rather than judgemental

TV/Movies / Re: Ronke Apampa by gbengaijot(m): 12:55am On Jan 06, 2007
@euphoria, i do ooo

But seriously, i never ever said she is very good. If you note one of my post, i said " I only watch it coz of "grin crush" and because of her voice". I never said she was excellent.

The whole point of what i am saying is that, let us give her a chance.

@Tee Zero, do you know how long tyra banks have been presenting?,

She never even claimed to be professional, did she?, so wetin be your own?

AND FOR THOSE OF YOU THREATENING MY BABY RONKE, STOPE NOW OR ELSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Politics / Re: A New Nigeria Police Force. by gbengaijot(m): 6:45pm On Jan 05, 2007
Easyy:

Gbengaijot, I'm glad you stated all those things that are NOT available to the police and will therefore hinder them from carrying out their duries effectively (even if they wanted to). Do you then blame the police for the country's lack of proper checkable datebase? do you blame the police solely for lack of infrastructure?

The problem is a problem with the whole country and you cannot single out the police for harsh criticism. I'm not saying that they don't deserve criticism but they cannot be singled out of the multifaceted mess that the Nigerian society has become over the years.

You sure didnt read my first post, did u?,

I made a statement that "the infrastructures are just not there",

I assume the fact that you know that the government and the Police committee are jointly responsibel for that.

Look, my frist post was about National re-orientation. If Nigerians can jump queues at the embassy, they need re oreintation, , if they can drive on the wrong motor way, they need re orientation, e.t.c
TV/Movies / Re: Ronke Apampa by gbengaijot(m): 6:40pm On Jan 05, 2007
God will have mercy on us all.
@1forall, the problem with us Nigerians is that, when a Nigerian tries to do things his own local way, we tend to complain that he is not up to standard, , when they try to live up to expectations, by copying the western influence, we all say that they are not original,

so what do we all want them to do??(This applies to Nigerian Music as well).

BVS is not the best of program on BEN TV,

some of the editions are good and some of them are wacks,

Remember that ronke is not a trained broadcaster. She is more of a model,

I particularly like watching her show just because its "ROnke Apampa", why?, coz she is pretty and coz i like the way she talks and coz i have a crush on her, seriously!

The point is that, are you assuming that he is ur GF, or u actually asked her out.

IIf she is ur GF, then talk to her about it,

It measn you do not know who she is.
If you are going out with someone and canot predict their actions, then whatz the point?,

What if she aint got any money, what if she doesnt count christmas as something, what if she believes that christmas is for kids who are given gifts

From my guesses, it seems you are dissillusioned into thinking you love her, ?
