You are not able to get a visa until your wife becomes a citizen,which makes you immediately eligible for a green card.There are no two ways about it.You gotta wait for five years

you gotta be honest with the VO.Not having a job in Nigeria is a negative,but you gotta be truthful about it.In addition,the fact that you have visited other countries is a plus.Just tell the VO the unvarnished truth and hope for the best.

I would advise that you start playing the DV lottery yourself.Also,you could apply for a visitors visa,but your chances of getting that is quite slim because you will be considered an intending immigrant,being siblings.Your sister could also file for you but thats gonna take several years.SO ,If you would like to live and work in the US,the DV LOTTERY is your best bet.Emulate your sister

A single letter would suffice ,if you applied together.The VO might not even talk about it during the interview.
