SportsRe: Player Rating - Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso AFCON Final by Gbenge77(m): 9:54am On Feb 11, 2013
ENYEAMA was amazing all tournament. He was almost impeccable. An absolutely commanding leader OMERUO won his battle with battle with Bance, limiting him to shooting from distance. He is a fantastic defender, although guity of being caught out of position at times. OBOABONA is a no nonsense defender, always winning the aerial battles. No luk for the gargatuan stallion forwards,as he was always breathing down their neck. Will be an integral part of the EAGLES for some time to come. AMBROSE-You could be forgiven for thinking he was an attaking midfielder, given the way he audaciously ventures into the oppositions half, looking for options.Full of running,he usually breezes past players like there was no one there.Even came close with a bullet header himself.FANTASTIC! ONAZI could do with an 8,linked defence and attack superbly, and is not afraid of the tackle, although made some rash challenges. MIKEL was superb also, ensurig the stallions did not get a foothold on the game. MBA is a tireless workaholic in midfield.Adventurous and sometimes unplayable. The game may seem to pass him by at some point, but then he pops out of nowhere to score a fabulous goal. MOSES is quite dexterous on the ball,Always scheming, inventing and creating.Helps us maintain the tempo for long periods.HE s proved to be an amazing snatch froM ENGLAND! IDEYE is a huge presence in the box,and holds up play quite nicely. He is sometimes unplayable, but he could do with better finishing. MUSA is a handful for defenders, and adds a bit of structure to our game.Full of running and trickery,he sometimes leaves defenders for dead, dancing and jinking past them. EMENIKE all action style has endeared him to many.Powerful and blessed with a thunderous shot,he was almost indispensable to the team;and his bullet free kicks comes in specially. You better not stand in the way of his free kick,as you might just end up in the hospital. This happened when the Ivorian defence inexcusably broke in fear as he thundered that free kick home. WHAT A PHENOMENAL ACHIEVEMENT BY THE EAGLES!

Who told them that the Super eagles are overly confident?Mikel has stated that they are gonna approach the game as underdogs, without any form of pressure. With that minset,The stallions will be blown away. The Burkina fans assume that because of Nigerias pedigree in football,we wont take the stallions quite seriously, but that is erroneous as we will approach the match with ALL GUNS BLAZING.

Mr Wakafool is still hurting because The Burkinabes played them off the park and absolutely tore their defence to shreds. What about their shambolic display against Mali?Does his opinion matter?or is he the one to tell us who deserves to win the final?
PoliticsWhere Is The 1 Trillion Naira Budgeted For Security In 2012? by Gbenge77(op): 11:15am On Feb 10, 2013
About one trillion naira was budgeted for security in 2012 with security going downright downhill. That averages about three billion naira daily. If such gargatuan amount was not able to fix the country security-wise,could Mr.president explain what went wrong?Add this to this foreign reserve imbroglio,Fuel -subsidy scam and you can be sure we ve got a situation on our hands.I think Nigerians ought to take the government to task on this, for the sake of accountability.

Gbenge 77: The Burkinabe side are fluid and cohesive.Their two holding midfielders rarely venture forward, while allowing the full backs freedom to overlap. They dont play aimless balls. When tightly marked, they play one-twos until they are able to play a forward pass, while pressing energetically.Bance holds up play excellently, returns a pass, and moves int position.Kabore's does a marvellous job of probing the opposition defence with his measured passing.Against Ghana, their two holding midfielders rarely ventured forward, thereby stifling Ghanaian attacks through the centre.Bance even retreated to break up Ghanas play on a couple of occasions.Their style of play is fluid and cohesive, and their high, enegetic ,pressing Game can hurt any team ,forcing the oppositions defence into misplaced passes. This occured when Badu was caught in possesion and Bance finished nicely. Nigeria has to be wary of this.BURKINA FASO'S WEAKEST LINK IS KOULIBALY.On an occasion,he tried to play the offside trap, inadvertently playing Gyan through, but Gyans shot clipped the crossbar.Later,he lashed out at Gyan inside the box.Nigeria have to take advantage of him. Nigeria on the other hand play a nice, passing game, with Mikel directing play, but there are three components to Nigerias game. 1.MIKELS DIAGONALS TO THE WIDE PLAYERS,which sometimes leaves the opposition full backs at sea. 2.MOSES DRIFTING TO THE CENTRE-Mose receives the ball in a left position ,and quickly drifts inside, thereby functioning as an emergency number 10.By doing this,he attempts to take advantage of gaps in the oppositions defence. 3.THE CONSTANT OVERLAPPING THREAT OF THE FULL BACKS.This enabled Echiejile to score a goal in the last game. 4.RELENTLESS HARRYING OF THE OPPOSITION-Nigerian players harry, hound ,and mercillessly pursue the opposion,in a bid to stop them from playing. This was a bit effective agaist MALI In short,if Nigeria is able to stop the fluid, cohesive style of the Stallions,we will carry the day.Thats about it

VCTROKOYE: I have traveled to UK once and will travel again in March of this year with my 2 yrs valid visa. But my twin brother is a USA citizen through visa lottery. He told me he would sent some documents but I also work. I also have good statement of account but I am single. The last time I traveled to UK, I spent 6 days and I intend to travel again for 7 days in March due to the nature of my job. Any hope with this marital status. I'm 35 yrs old.
Having a US citizen brother, and being also single makes your situation a bit difficult.THE consular may assume there idsnt a compelling reason for you to return you will be staying with a US citizen brother and also being unmarried.I dont intend to discourage you though.Apply and see what happens

opsy4real1: hello house, am here again...iam planning to re-apply for U.S visa within next month March. I was refused in september on d ground that i have no compelling home ties even though i had a job as a finance officer in a company & i filled my marital status as 'engaged'even though i was adviced b4 i applied to claim married in order to brighten my chances but didnt hearken..however visa officer says i may reapply when my circumstances change.. Now i av a biz registered wit corporate affairs commision though its 2months old now and am the owner and director of d company. .also as at my previous refusal, i av a single travel history(malaysia) but now i have south africa, dubai and zimbabwe added to my travel history . I hope am gud to go....am also thinkin to claim married...your advice pls
The US embassy do not take kindly to lies or inconsistencies. If you claim marriage, without being able to provide proof, the results will be disastrous.maybe the c.o thought that your job wasnt good enough to compel you to return, coupled with the fact that you were unmarried. If you are not desperate for a visa, which is what they detest.you could wait until you are married before re applying. That is not to say that a unmarried person cannot be issued with a visa.

Superbrain: Hello house,

I intend going on vacation to the US in May. I'm 26, single and I work for a top multinational with income in the six digit range. I have only been to Dubai. I also work part-time with my dad's company as a consultant (though I'm not yet a board member).

I intend to visit friends in California (would be putting up with them) and I'm also trying to schedule an interview with a Professor at University of Georgia, and another at UCLA.

With my profile, am I good to go? Or how best can I prove ties to Nigeria? I just want to visit and come back to Nigeria to work. Please advise.
The fact that you work with a multinational, with a good salary is a plus.Being unmarried is a minus.Having a good job is a fantastic tie in itself, but with the US embassy, you never know. Some with very high profiles have been denied, previously. The key is "DONT APPEAR DESPERATE FOR A VISA".Appear cool, calm and collected and the visa might just be yours.

Xlad: Thanks Gbenge for your reply....I have visited the website you gave me, but this is what the said about group appointment.
Group Appointments
Overview
Examples of groups include, but are not limited to, troupes of performers (musicians or dancers), athletic teams, business or cultural delegations, and student groups traveling together to the United States. Groups must comprise 10 or more individuals traveling together to be considered for a group appointment. Families are not groups and are not eligible for group appointments.
Again, will i need to fill the DS-160 form or after he might have paid for the visa fees?
Thanks as i still hope to get your reply..

In that case, they will have to schedule seperate appointments. You pay the visa fee first, fill a DS form, and then schedule an interview(ie choose an interview date).Even if you fill the DS form on behalf of your dad,"HE MUST SIGN THE FORM ELECTRONICALLY HIMSELF" .Its very important

Xlad: Hello everyone here...I greet all. i have a question.....Please, all should pardon me in-case of any mis-use of my tenses...
This is for my roomate vand we together wrote this...he is in need informations, and i need to introduce him to nairaland.....

My dad got an invitation from his friend a white man. My dad is a pastor and that his friend is also a pastor...his friend visited him sometimes ago. I think 2010. Now, he wants him to come and visit him together with a couple from our church...although he wanted him to come last year but my dad was not that financial flamboyant to come due to my younger sis travel. we are 5 in numbers...4 are not residing in nigeria including I as we 4 out of they 5 are studying in europe. Now, my dad have not traveled before except when he was still small.(when nigeria was still ruled by UK and he was not born in Nigeria...He was born in Gabon). He should be in his late 50s as I'm not too sure of his age. He has been denied USA visa before during september 2001 at Lagos, till now, he haven't applied to USA embassy and moreover the old passport was what Nigerians were using then before the introduction of the E-passport. He has his e-passport now which he got oct last year.
Now he wants to travel and visit his friend this june. He will be sponsoring himself only for air-flight as they white man promised to take care of all of them including the couple. The husband of the couple is a bank manager while his wife is a lecturer which will also be sponsoring their flight tickets.
They couples are also to sponsor my dad but my dad still wants to use his bank account. his bank account statement will not be that fat as it might contain upto #600,000 to #800,000 He has a big piggery and poultry farms. And many un- used plots of land which is part of the farm land.
My question are:
1.) What are their chances of getting the visiting visa since they are not traveling as religious workers?
2.) What necessary documents will he go with in terms of pictures of him and the white man and some family pictures with the white man.
3.) How can he book for interview together with the couple so that they will go for the interview same time?
4.) can i be explained on how to book for interview for him?
Thanks as i await for replies....
Ok,if they intend to travel together ,they should book a 'GROUP' appointment. There is an option for that on the website, but each of them will fill a DS-160 FORM.The 'white man' would have to send him an invitation letter as well.If he intends to sponsor himself,he might be asked to present his statement of accounts, but if the 'white man' is sponsoring, kindly request that he send his own statement of accounts. The Visa officer may request to see it or not.IF HE did take pictures with the white man,he should take them along to the interview as he might be asked. Also,he might also need to present Documentations of his landed properties,as those may help prove his 'TIES' to Nigeria. Regarding his chances, that depends on how convincing he is during the interview.THE CONSULAR OFFICER NEEDS TO BE CONVINCED THAT YOUR DAD AND THE COUPLE WILL RETURN TO NIGERIA AFTER THEIR VISIT.THAT IS THE GOAL.SO,ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HELP THEM TO PROVE THIS MUST BE TAKEN ALONG TO THE INTERVIEW.ANYONE,WHO INTENDS TO VISIT THE US SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS.An appointment can be scheduled at www.ustraveldocs.com/ng .Let me know if this suffices

SportsVictor Moses, nigerias Conductor Of The Ochestra by Gbenge77(op): 1:17pm On Feb 07, 2013
Victor Moses has been absolutely unplayable in South Africa. He did have a hand in most of our goals, and has scored some himself.Alongside with Mikel Obi, he has conducted the Nigerian Ochestra in phenomenal fashion.Extraordinarily visionary,he helps us maintain the tempo, initiates counter attacks ,and provides defence splitting passes. In set piece situations,he is extremely effective, providing pin-point crosses. He is so inventive and creative, with a good eye for the goal as well.No disrespect to Mali, but with Victor,Mikel and Emenike, they must be torn to shreds.Victor Moses, what would Nigeria do without him!
