zinfly: i am really considering moving the whole thing from Nigeria. it will be cheaper. classy and memorable. i have really tried to be reasonable here. i eliminated ashebi cos i don't want that fuss. i have asked no one to contribute and i dont mind if you dont bring me a gift. both i and my fiance are fully responsible for our wedding. We just want a happy day less of moaning guest. the problem also is that Nigerians are not demure in their comment. i have seen people work their ass off to do wedding only for people to say the wedding was rubbish, there wasn't enough drinks and food. i was brought up to understand that you attend a wedding to show your support to the couple -food or no food. why do i have to waste my time and effort to please people i don't know. i think the more i read this comment, i become more adamant so that i will either move the whole thing or get heavily armed me. After the wedding i will pack my bags and go. its just cos my inlaws are too frail to attend abroad if not there will be no question about this ***Sigh***mmm... a bride with so much 'ordering everybody around because its her wedding'. You sound like you are the one wedding ('funding')your fiance. you are even talking about moving the wedding abroad. let me guess- the guy has no say who comes and where it holds. so much het-up over your wedding already, is an harbinger for distastrous marriage. If the opinion of others and members of your family don't count, then I guess you need to do a lot of rethinking about marrying in the first place. I assume your fiance is a gentleman who doesn't like much trouble, but let me give you a simple advise... if his people are thrown out of his wedding, then be sure you have started on a wrong footing. You will definitely forget to invite some very important personel in your life or family. Its offensive enough to forget to invite a relative, bouncing them, when they decide to show up after all, will be Sacrilegious. My dear, all it will cost you to have more people in your wedding is just more money. Its not worth throwing away your happy married life and relationships because of something that flimpsy. Trust me, you will not even notice they are there. I do wish you all the best and hope its stands as the happiest day of your life and not the other way round. Please be wise. |
Its one of the best days of your life. why would you want anything to ruin it. It will only cost you some extra money thats all. You will have to decide if you want to keep the extra money or ruin your wedding because, i tell you, those invited will also feel offended and consider you rude if you intruduce bouncers. This is africa my friend. |
drnoel: OK, I hear u. Go back in time to precisely a few months back and learn from the history of saraki and his son.dont be decieved by the Saraki's saga. The father was only trying to hand over the control he had over Kwara to his son. He only used that charade to test if his son had really taking over power from him. Afterwards, he rested in peace. |
Hall of Fame: Pastor Tunde Bakare for being a true prophet of God, crying for the redemption of Nigeria without fear Hall of Shame: Farouk Lawal. I thinnk he qualifies all other people that are nominees for in this group - The Judge that stole the booty. |

Another way to have a secure password is to make a long statement your password. Even though it's an English word, as long as its long ( say 24 character). It will take a hacking software years of constant attempt to be able to get any close. An example is "NairalandForumNewPostPage" or "ThisIsHowIGetIntoMyComputer". Trust me no hacker can hack that. |
beethoven: I can't fit shoutol boy see speed. this one not be INternet na OUTernet. |

jites: When Jesus was on the earth, he did not ride tokunbo, he asked the disciple to go to some town ( for argument sake we call it America) and that would see a ride ( for argument sake let call it a private jet) that no body has ever sat on 9 for aurgument sake again we call it a new custom built private jet) i say private because he was the only one who sat on that ride, and guess what he did not evenpay the owner any money and what were the followers doing walking along singing hossana blessed is he who comes inthe name of the LORD. even throwing their tithe and offering or sorry i meant garments and palm tree branches on the floor for the achabe ride to ride pass it.I know many people who comment on this topic are either non-Christians or those who don't attend church. If you read your bible very well, you will know that God does not want anybody to be poor. 3john1:2 says " beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper.....". A prosperous pastor is the one who is really practicing what he preaches. Pastor preaches salvation, healing, prosperity etc. then why do you demand that they should be holy as they preach, they should be healthy because they heal people and you think they should not be wealthy as they preach. In my opinion, pastors who preaches prosperity and are not wealthy still have a lot of work to do on themselves spiritually, because they should practice what they preach. A woman in mathew 26 from 7, poured expensive oil on Jesus's feet. Many people, like some of us are doing now, started complaining but Jesus rebuked them. In 1tim5:18 bible says" For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.". If the pastor labour to make the people rich he is also worthy of being rich. Even excessively rich because they are the example that others are following. Read 2 Peter 1:2-9 bible says Gods power will give us all things pertaining to life... It's say you will have all and yet not be corrupt vs4.... It says they that don't know this are blind and short-sighted and have forgotten that they are no longer unbelievers vs 9. In 1kings 17:8-16 a window gave all she had to Elijah and was blessed. She even told Elijah that that was her last and yet Elijah asked her to give all. I will not ent to bore you with too many examples in the bible. People say why do pastors buy this and that when they have a poor congregation. Where else do you want to find the poor? you will only find the sick in the hospital because they need healing so likewise you will find poor people in the church because they need prosperity. Please note that Jesus was never poor, while he was on earth. Yes he had needs but they were all met. Their were lots of people ready to sacrifice themselves to meet his needs. The highest paid workers of those days fought for his possession after his crucifixion. |
QueenAw: No big deal. Now that's the attitude of a virtuous woman. Anything to be happy. Some would rather create more trouble. What wisdom is in that? |
pro01: Only a dubious woman demands trust from her husband or partner. A genuinely virtuous woman earns it. . .and strives to retain it - simply by keeping her hands clean and her path straight. You don't insist on keeping male 'friends' or going on 'business trips' with your randy boss, and yet expect a sensible husband to trust you. This the best of all the answers. It is foolishness to be angry when you have been the one who have made your husband distrust you. Infact, you should be happy that he will eventually come to trust you and erase any doubt in his heart. Trust is earned not inherited. Recent research have shown that most women get unfaithful to their husband during their life time. If you suspect you husband distrust you, you should encourage him to do a paternity test to clear his doubt. To tell you the truth if he doesn't trust you, his love and care will depreciate and may eventually lead him to another woman. Even the bible support men testing their wife's faithfulness if he suspects her. If you don't believe me check Numbers 5:11-31. Earn your husband's trust and stop threatening fire. Seriously, I think you are someworth unfaithfull if you make trouble. |
My first question is, how old are you both? If you guy are still relatively young, then you might consider giving him some time. The truth is that it's hard to find 'mr perfect'. If he is that perfect then you should wait for him. If you are not young, then give him an ultimatum to make up his mind before you leave him. This is important because he may dump you and you will be too old already. If he's got cold feet, an altimatum will assist him make up his mind. If he is not ready afterwards, then he may never be ready for you. |
Ganys: Prophet Muhammad(SAW) wasnt killed and tied on the cross, He died peacefully, If Jesus really Wanted to Die for Christian, Why did he Say these:You are righ, God turned His back on Jesus while he was on the cross. This is because God is so righteous that he cannot behold sin. Jesus at that time, on the cross, was carrying the sin of the whole world. He felt God's absence on the cross iChat was why he cried Eli, Eli Lamasachtani. Jesus gave himself up for the mission to save the world. This was a mission that no other person in heaven or earth could do becuase it was a hard thing to do. Read Rev. 5: 1-10and Isaiah 53 to end . Before Gethsemane, the Lord Jesus said, "What shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify Thy name" (John 12:27,28). After Gethsemane He said, "The cup which My Father hath given Me, shall I not drink it?" (John 18:11). There was no possibility of His turning from or being unwilling to go to Calvary. Gethsemane itself carries a weight of grief and a depth of wonder exceeding perhaps any other scene. This is holy ground! Together, Matthew, Mark, and Luke’s accounts portray immense emotional suffering that expressed itself physically. His sorrow was to the point of death, to the limit of the human frame. His anguish was accompanied by godly reverence and dependence (Hebrews 5:7). Each statement of prayer includes the submission of His will to the Father’s. It could not have been otherwise. |
planetuzor: Afam have ones tot ths way b4..i a christian, a pastor's child. I use 2 ask my self what if i was born in Iraq or Iran dominated by muslim by a muslim mother would i stil wana be a muslim or rather change to b a xtian. .hav lived all my live being a christian and m loving it. Having to get direction, hear God, follow the instructions of the Holyspirit. And really i dare not say i dnt believe in it because have witnessed the miracles, the healings, the seemingly imposible turn possible n hav been a living witness. . Bt stil i have a question, do muslims or other religion also experience things like hearing the Holyspirit, divine healing, opening of the blinds eye,the lame walk n dumb here? Do they also feel the presence of their God, or see a prophesy come 2 pass or even hear the Holy spirit live? . . . .i realy need a muslim to chime in n lets knw bkos as a christian u enjoy all this, am a living witnes to this.My brother I don't think other religion faithfuls will want to comment on this because they don't. We Christian serve the living God. true Christian know, beyond all doubt, that God is alive because they hear from Him they speak to Him they receive from Him. No matter how small, young or new you in the the Lord, you are convinced of his presence in your life. Its more real that anyone you'll ever know and it's so beautiful. Non -Christian don't enjoy this because their God is either dead or never existed. Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said it himself that he is the only way to God John 14:6. Quran clearly states that all Muslim will go to hell 11:119, 32:13, 19:71. There's is no place where it states that they will get out of it. I still don't even know why they still follow Islam. I just found out this URL. It might help http://www.islamreview.com/articles/waytoparadise.shtml |

I go to church service to get 'serviced' for the week. That is why it is called a service. I get serviced so that I am able to go through the week strong. I get serviced from all encumbrances that I might have encountered during the week. I get serviced from every evil attack I might have encountered. I get serviced to perform great in the week ahead. That's what church is all about for me. Some of you all are going about ramsackled and damaged all over without a weekly service you get from going to church. I can imagine how you feel all over because of your state of disrepair and decay. Seriously, I don't know how you live with it. I get my hype from being in church all the time became in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy and pleasures forever more. I worship Him, He services me. Quid pro quo. You should try this out sometimes, I think. |

This is very disturbing. In a recent interview with The Nation, a DNA expert gave some interesting statistics about the paternity of Nigerian men, saying that three out of every ten Nigerian men are not the biological fathers of their kids! Interview excerpts below: Is paternity testing becoming an issue in Nigeria? We have seen that there is serious need for it because in many homes things are happening that are scary both to the lives of children and their parents. And for the general statistics that is now available, it is found that three out of every ten men are not the fathers of their babies. Similarly, three out of every ten children are not fathered by men they have seen as their biological fathers. What we have found out is that, anytime we take ten men, at least three of them eventually found that they are not the fathers of the children they call their own. And these men would have taken care of the children for all their lives. Now, the global statistics is 100,000 out of every 300,000 men. But what we have found that is that the situation is higher in Nigeria than other places. For example in our laboratory here, 50 per cent of the cases comes out negative. And we also realised that majority of the first-borns are affected. You only need to be here to see big men cry like little kids and watch children weep in agony. It has been that bad. And I dare say it is becoming something every home must do and you may be quite surprised at the level of dastard revelation. About thirty per cent of fathers are unknowingly bringing up children who are not biologically theirs. And it is suspected that this percentage may be on the increase due to sexual recklessness. According to recent trends in sexual health, especially in Nigeria, it was suggested that unprotected sex and multiple partners are comparatively common occurrences with a large proportion of conceptions still unplanned. So, more than half, that is, 50 per cent of all paternity tests carried out by our lab comes out negative and the most affected are first-borns, except in a few cases. Do these cases happen mostly in matrimonial settings or in casual relationships? In both matrimony and casual affiliations! I tell you, we have had series ofmarried men come here and go back home devastated. In one instance, a man came here with his wife. Out of the five children he thought were his own, he discovered that only two belonged to him. And they are both duly Married, living together as husband and wife. You see, the major problem we have in our country is that most of these cases are not duly documented. So, people don’t know we have such issues among us. In fact, some even don’t know where to go for the test to determine their child or children’s paternity. And I tell you, if you go to ten homes as we speak, you will be amazed to find that in almost all of them the children there do not belong to the men. It is that rampant. If it is that rampant, how would you describe the three years since you started testing men? Now, the general statistics by the American Association of Blood Banks is that globally, 100, 000 out of 300, 000 men are not the actual fathers of their presumed children. And like I said earlier, the Nigerian situation is even alarming. Also, Duess International, the condom manufacturers, once noted that Nigeria has the most reckless sexual life. So, you can then imagine what the outcome would be like if we say okay, let’s start taking statistics one-by-one. How many families do you attend to each week? We test about 15 to 20 families. People come here as a result of various types of controversies over the paternity of certain children. You know, families have come to us with claims that a child neither takes after the mother nor the father in looks and character. So, the man of the house would be curious to ascertain facts. And when they come here with such children, the fears of the fathers have often been affirmed. Fathers usually have the doubts; maybe he has been hearing some rumours, and you know, men are often the last to hear such things about themselves. Until many of them come here to take the test, they have nurtured other men’s children before realising it. What does it take to do a paternity test? Technology has made it so easy. It is just like any other deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test. In less than two seconds, we take the sample from the man. We use the Helix Swabs like a “big cotton buds” to extract some cells from the man’s mouth. We rub the ‘Swab’ up-and-down the mouth to get some epithelial cells from around the cheek bone. In the nucleus of every cell, there is DNA. Once we collect that, we purify, extract and then multiply it and get the genetic profile which we then send to DNA laboratory abroad for testing. What happens in situations where DNA samples do not match as we saw with some DANA victims? So many reasons could be responsible for that. We have had a case in which a boy went to an hospital to claim the body of his deceased dad and on testing him, it was found that he was not fathered by the dead man. The genetic profile of the boy does not match with that of the man he claimed to be his father. And DNAs don’t lie. The medical experts conducting these tests have nothing personal against the people that come to them for testing. Every human being take half of the genetic profile from either parent. Therefore, it is a matter of case closed if the genetic profile of the living does not match with that of the dead man. He is simply not that father. http://africanspotlight.com/2012/10/3-out-of-10-nigerian-men-are-not-fathers-of-their-kids-dna-expert/ |

Its good to teach the guy a lesson but dont do it without your aunt. If you play along, collect his money without telling your aunty and you later turn the guy down, he will just call your aunty and tell her the two of you have been dating; how will you be able to deny that. Tell your aunty the whole story and tell her you intend to deal with him. |
