Hmmm...I'm kinda in that dilemma too

Pray my friend, there is nothing prayer cannot do. When it goes beyong your physical strenght, you need to engage the spiritual. If you have a bible believing church with a true man of God who won't ask you to burn candle or bring money or sow seed to get prayed for, you can also share your issues with him or her.

Gen 41:32 32 And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

When you have a dream reoccur again and again, its a sign that that event will definitely happen. Let me put it this way , it means spritual powers (Good or Evil) have decided to make it happen. This was made know by the Professor of dream interpretation in the bible - Joseph (Gen 41:32 above). This is why you need to pray if the outcome is not favourable. Your prayers can go a long way in changing the tide to your favour, even if it eventually happens, it will eventually work for your good, just that you may not see that right now. Your only solution is to seek God's face, to turn the tide in your favour.

Take this seriously.

I keep saying it, north will never want to willingly give power to the south. Only those who don't know history will think so. Buhari as gotten his second term, trust me, the north will most likely sink APC and move over to PDP to support their northern brother, Atiku. There allegience is not to a political party but to their greed and belly which they have perfected using their northern agenda.

You all dont seem to understand the game at play. This are all northern agenda to bring in Atiku in 2023. Th plan is scatter APC, let them all move to PDP for the next Fulani man to take it over. You think they dont like what is going on right now? They know what they are doing, its a game of chess. It will amaze you that after they are done, APC wont stand a chance against Atiku come 2023.

1. I was in school. Just lost my dad, I couldnt' do the test which carries 30 marks because of my dad's issue, I had to lean on the exam's 70 hoping I will get enough to just pass the course- It was my final year exam. While in the hall, I was still traumatized by my dad's demise and for some reason, missed answering the compulsory question, with the highest mark; I answered only the optional questions and submitted. I realized my error after submitting. I had to pray fervently for God's intervention because If I fail, it will mean an extra year. God gave me a strong reassurance he will intervene. When the result came out, I had an A, very few people had A because it was one of the most difficult subject which was handled by someone we know never compromised- our HOD. I never went to see him but God settled it for me.
2. A sister in our school fellowship cried to come of us in the fellowship exco that she had an attack in the exam hall. She said she forgot all she read and also even forgot her matric number during the paper. We prayed with her and she passed the exam.

Family / Re: Seeing Dead Aunty In My Dreams Repeatedly. I Need Any Solutions Please by gbigbega: 9:49pm On May 27, 2020
I believe the woman feels you are suppose to take care of her children the way they took care of you in your early years. She may have died grudging that you became more success than her children and you are not lending helping hand to her children same way they did for you when you needed it.

Consider reaching out to her children and you will see her spirit will release you. The grudge she bears over you seem to linger on even though she is dead and that is what is bringing those dreams to you. You need God's intervention to help you wade off the bad omen that may come with it. Dont go to a herbalist I beg. If you can find a trusted man of God (not the one that will ask you to bring money before praying) you can go and ask him to help you wade off, through prayers, the ambiance of badluck that comes with this. If you find the right man of God, just one 1 minutes prayer will do the job and you will not have to pay- he will just rebuke the spirit. Its no longer the woman now, its the spirit behind her grudge that seem to have lingered beyond her existence. You need God to help with this. You may also consider reaching out to her children too. Reaching out to your mum and reconnecting with her is also a powerful tool- thank God you already realise that.

Please don't ignore my advice.

My brother be careful with listening to advice from many not so straight people on Nairaland. As a fellow Christian I think you too are doing good and should go ahead with your marriage. Its natural when two people from different background comes together to find something the other don't like. I am sure she has something she is also complaning about that you do- its just normal for all couples.

To resolve this, you may need to be a bit more stern with how you express your displeasure with her action. When you say it mildly and its not taking serious, say it seriously. Let her see you upset and angry about the way she is acting that you dont like. It may help make are rethink her actions. If she loves you, which I think she does, she will start trying to change that. However, dont think she will change overnight because that is who she'd been all her life and she can only learn as days goes by.

That action is not a marriage spoiler, it could be a think of concern and it can be handled and treated by the two of you. As you want her to work on this part of her make sure you work on your own too that you have not told us.

It is wickedness to see people stealing other peoples money and you keep quiet. To tell you the truth, you are also a thief. you are part of the evil and part of the people wrecking the company. You cannot turn your back on evil and not expect the same evil to hunt you. You too want to have your own business tomorrow and expect people to keep quiet when thief are running it down abi?

God sometimes look at action like this to decide if he will bless you or leave you poor. In Luke 16: 12 bible says 12 if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?. When you pray for Gods blessing and you are not trustworthy in another mans business, my brother you are fetching water inside basket o. WHO WILL GIVE YOU YOUR OWN. Remember the story of the banker who reported about 300 people and because of that got another Job that pays 3x, you think its coincidence? that is how God reward those who are trustworthy. That womans business is feeding many mouths and there are many more mouth out there that will be feed if the business progresses. You are joining these people to destroy source of livelihood for many families if this business packs up. you will be the greatest looser, because you will suffer from what you did'nt enjoy from.

For God sake, and for the sake of your future, please report them but do it wisely, may God give you the wisdom.

Its not a good thing to pour hot water on a goat. its wicked.

Having said that, you two option

1. uphold your Secrecy -- Don't go to her and be ready to face the consequence. The issue is that you may not live to tell the story or may incur a curse upon you that you may not be able to bear. I will not advice you to take this option.

1. Break the Secrecy --The evil that will come out of this is in keeping it secret. When the matter is not exposed, there is greater tendency for her to arm you and no one will know its origin. If she is currently concocting something, she will be invoking her worst. So to make it easier or kill the matter, go to her but dont go alone, the solution is breaking the secrecy of your action. When you go with someone, it will be hard for her to arm you knowing that you are not the only one aware of what happened and her likely reaction. Plead with her and maybe offer to help out. With the secrecy broken, she may forgive you and if she doesn't she may be careful or mild with whatever she was initially intending to do, knowing that other people are aware of the case. To keep quiet is not a good thing o, you fit just sleep and not wake up and no one can trace the cause of death because the matter is not known.

your best shot is to let her know. Again, you need to repent and surrender your life to Jesus to protect you (that wont stop you from going to her though because Jesus requires honesty to be by your side). With Him(Jesus) by your side you can be sure of safety all the time. Be bold and own up.

I don't know if this complain have been made before.

I noticed that there is no Christian Religion sub-section on the Religion section on Nairaland. I however notice that there is one for Muslims and it ask you to swear to being a Muslim before gaining entry. I think Nairaland should not be biased with any religious sentiment, it is sad to find out that in this age and time we still have this on a platform that is international and broadly viewed.

I am not complaining about the Muslims section and their rules (though I feel its unnecessary to have people swear), what I am asking is there should be a commensurate Christian section with the same rules and access control. If you take statistics, Christians use Nairaland more. A company that wants to stay ahead will not grieve its majority clients and must stay out of any form of bias.

Religion / Re: What's Your Longest Period Of Fasting And How Was It Accomplished? by gbigbega: 5:28pm On May 03, 2020
Depot:
3 days dry fasting given to me by a pastor. It wasn't easy though but I completed it. After the fasting, I visited a priest and shared my fasting experience with him. Guess what, he was mad at me. He warned me never to engage in such fasting again. That whoever advised me to embark on 3 days dry fasting is wicked and evil. He asked me what if I develop a serious illness on the process. I learnt from it. Since then, I can't fast more than 12 hours without food. I love Catholic priest, they don't deceive people like some half baked pastors do.

No wonder you and your father are still were you are and not moving forward. Listen, fasting is way to beat what is not humanly or physically possible. It weakens your physical or human nature and helps your spirit being to kick in to solve your problems. Check in online even pagans who don't believe God fast. I have seen people who did dry fast for 40 days(drink water only) and they are doing it just to solve health issues that was medically impossible. No spiritual attachment at all- check the internet.

I have done a lot fasting and I can tell you by experience that if you do it well, you can never remain the same again. Problems and difficult situation responds to it. Make sure you pray with it because if all you do is just fast- na hunger strick be that o. Go and ask all the great people who rule the world they will tell you their fasting secrets. Don't be fooled, when you fast, you are helping your spirit being, making your body healthier and making your life better. Just know how to do it, read up on it, check the internet or YouTube and get advice from people who have done it before.

If anyone will advice you on fasting, make sure he/she is someone who does it frequently. Scientifically, be are expected to believe people who have experience and who have tested the subject matter. If they haven't done the type you want to do, they are not qualified to advice you, irrespective of whatever expertise or profession they claim.

Politics / Kogi Has No Case Of Covid 19 Because There Is No Where To Test In Kogi by gbigbega: 8:12pm On Apr 21, 2020
Kogi State is the only state in Nigeria that shares boundaries with 9 other states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja – to the North.

The States are:

Nasarawa State – to the North-East,

Benue State – to the East,

Enugu State – to the South-East,

Anambra State – to the South,

Edo State – to the South-West,

Ondo State – to the West,

Ekiti State – to the West,

Kwara State – to the North-West, and

Niger State – to the North

And all these states has coronavirus case but none in Kogi. Are u wondering why is like that? It's because we don't have where to test anybody in the state.
Please my fellow kogites stay away from public places.

There’s always an option other than taking your precious life and inflating pains to your Loved ones...

I understand people do get agitated at matters like this and all kinds of theory flies around. I just want to set the record straight that there was an attempt by RCCG to help him but obviously there is more to it than meets the eye. Perhaps the accommodation issue triggers his suppressed depression. While we grief for him, we will appreciate if we don't make it harder by blaming the church who actually offered to help. He was one of us lively and easy going, he left RCCG for Shepherd House in Apo for a while and he just decided to return back to RCCG, then this happened.

This is my conversation yesterday with a pastor friend closer to him. Please help spread the real truth.

Literature / The Great Exchange - The Easter Story by gbigbega: 11:38pm On Apr 20, 2019
THE GREAT EXCHANGE

As I stood before the judge, hearing the proceedings in the court, I knew there was no hope for me. My accusers have enough evidence against me, all witnesses have accurately testified against me, I was exposed. It is obvious that I will face the consequences as stated in the book. My judgment is clear – “The soul that sinneth shall die”.
I saw the look on my Master’s face – who is also my judge. On His face were different expressions, one of disappointment , that I brought myself so low to commit such atrocities, another was of pity, that I have been an unprofitable servant, and of anger, for I will pay the ultimate sacrifice. Behind me was my solicitor, my advocate, the son of my master, who had been pleading for my release. The expression on his face seem to say “I have tried my best, it’s all over, you will have to face the consequence of your sins”.
My master, who is also the judge, rose and said “ We all know that this sinner is condemned by law to die, but before he dies, is there anything anyone can do to help him”. I looked at the direction of my friends and relatives but no one was able to help me. I looked again at the elders in my master’s service and none was able to help, even the valiant guards in my master’s service could not help me- There was grave silence in the court room, I am condemned, forsaken and doomed forever. Reality dawned on me and I wept profusely. At the point of my grief and horror, I noticed some kind of commotion in the court room but I was too enveloped in grieve to care to look up. The uproar of my accusers overwhelms me as they shouted “He is guilty of death- crucify him”. My master, the judge, pronounced with a thunderous voice “Take him, he is yours”. My accusers charged at me with their chains and shackles, hate and disgust mixed with a feeling of victory was all over their faces. I shuddered as they came rushing towards me, but something strange happened. My accusers ran past me and threw their chains on my advocate who is also the son of my Master. They started leading him towards the slaughter – the place of the skull. What.. what is going on”? I manage to muster. My master’s chief guard touched me on the shoulder and said “be of good cheer servant, while you grieved in contrition over your sin, your master’s son, your advocate, volunteered to take your place. The judgment of death had been passed over to him for your sake. “Oh no” I cried out, “how can that be? I am the sinner, I am the disobedient one, my advocate is righteous, the only begotten of my master is innocent. How can he take my place. How can he, so high and mighty, so righteous, without sin take the place of a filthy wretch like me. This cannot be, how will my master allow His son to die for me”. I shook in horror, confused and horrified with fear and a feeling of shame for what I just brought about . I need to know why he did this for me. I turned and looked at him who took my place and I could barely recognized him, he has been beaten beyond recognition. My accusers have speared him no weep, no pity, no iota of respect was accorded him. I slipped through the crowd to my advocate, my Redeemer, my friend, as he was laid down to be crucified. I got on my kneels before him and covered my face, too ashamed and unworthy to look at Him. My advocate looked at me, He lifted up my head, rose me to my feet and smile and said “You were condemned to die because you have lived against the will of my father. I have life because I have always pleased Him and done all he wanted of me; but today I make an exchange. I exchange my personality for yours, LIVE MY LIFE AND LET ME DIE YOUR DEATH. I have to die because your life that I now bear is no longer worthy to live. Remember that you were speared because you now carry my life, the life that had always pleased the father. LIVE MY LIFE AND LET ME DIE YOUR DEATH, please live it.
Overwhelmed, I crumbled in awe of him, my knees buckled. I was like a sheep ready for the slaughter but He took my place, He took my place, He took my place. He took my pains, He took my shame, he took my shackles, my chains, my curse, my sorrows, my inabilities, insufficiencies and inadequacies – He took my place.

I wept as my accusers snatched away my Advocate, my Savior, my Redeemer, the only begotten of my father. As I wept uncontrollably, I felt a hand touched me behind, I looked and alas it was my master. I thought to myself “ I am finished, what shall I say to him, how can I appease him, I have sinned against him and now His only son was crucified for a wretched like me”; but my master stretched forth His hand and picked me up, he looked me in the eyes, smiled and called me the name of His beloved son. I don’t understand, I exclaimed, how could my master call me son. Then my master said “That is who I call you from now on- my son. Your old self have died – my son took your place. The person hanging on the cross is you and all your filth and sin nailed to it. The man standing here is my beloved son living in you. My son lives in you son, he said, come and enjoy my presence as a son and not a servant.

Gal 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Now, if PDP wins the election now, am sure most of this same people will still wanna cross into PDP because of the same power...
I could remember one of them saying that "we'll forgive you all of your sins of you come back to our party". Anybody with a sane mind will never say that.

Until there is a rule against crossing from one party to another, there won't be any changes in Nigeria's political system...

Am not supporting or opposing any political party because they've turned it into business...

Just my view...

This election is not only about sending Buhari to Daura only but it is also about showing all these politicians that the power belongs to the people. If we succeed in kicking out Buhari, trust me all of them will seat up. It will be clear to them that who ever deceives or go against the will of the people will be thrown out. Nigerians need to show this during this election- No matter how popular you are, if you mess up we throw you out, Shikena.

The Presidential ambition of the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar got a major boost on Sunday as leaders of major regional bodies across the country threw their weight behind his presidential candidacy.

Coming under the auspices of Nigeria Leaders and Elders, the leaders of Afenifere, Northern Elders Forum, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Middle Belt Forum and the Pan Niger Delta Forum said they were endorsing the Atiku Abubakar for the February 16 presidential election.

President of Ohaneze Ndibgo, John Nwodo said President Muhammadu Buhari has put the nation’s security in jeopardy and should not be allowed to come back as President, adding that under his leadership, Nigeria is undergoing constitutional deadlock.

Leader of the Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo make mockery of the President, saying a man who would endorse two governorship candidates for one state is not fit to continue as Nigerian President.

Adebanjo said the President has shown clearly that he was incapable of leading the country further as he has lost control of even his Party and speaks at cross purpose with his party chairman.

Former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clarke accused the Buhari government of working against the interest of the Niger Delta, replacing sons of the area in key appointments in the country.

Another figure that doesn't add up is how NNPC can generate N1.554 trillion and FIRS generates N5.3trillion, soooo FIRS now makes about 4 times what we make in the oil and gas?
