Politics / Oil Subsidy: What Jonathan Knew About The N1.76trillion Payment? by gbigbega: 8:10am On Jan 27, 2012
http://247ureports.com/2012/01/oil-subsidy-what-president-jonathan-knew-about-the-n1-76trillion-payment/

Information recently made available to 247ureports.com through sources within the power corridors of the federal capital of Nigeria, Abuja, indicates that there appear jolting intricacies laden within the sudden quantum-like spike in oil subsidy payments to select oil marketers/importers during the period immediately preceeding the presidential elections of April 2011 [February to April 2011] and the period immediately following the said elections [April to August 2011] – which coincided with the arrival of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as the Finance Minister for the Ministry of Finance in August 17, 2011.

A principal and knowledgeable source within the Jonathan administration indicates that the sudden “quantum-leap” in the payment of oil subsidy payments was not a mistake. “The President knew about it” said the source who explained that fake submissions for oil subsidy payments were approved and disbursements were made – and the monies were used towards financing the President’s election of 2011.

On the afternoon of January 11, 2011, two days to the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] presidential primaries at the Eagles Square in Abuja, the source, pointed to the huge ["staggering"] amount withdrawn from the Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN] for “classified” expenditure. The sum withdrawn, according to the source, was in excess of N150billion.

The money was withdrawn for use against the threat posed by the PDP opponent [Abubakar Atiku] to President Jonathan. Atiku was said to be in a critical race against the president for delegates. The Jonathan campaign had received intelligence the Atiku campaign reached out to 3000 delegates and had disbursed the sum of $3000 to each delegate in exchange for their votes [3000 delegates would give Atiku the victory over Jonathan]. In reaction, the Presidency had to raise immediate ‘cash’ to avert what would appear an embarrassing loss. Within 24hours, the President’s campaign team raised the booty on Atiku – by offering each of the 3000 delegates $7000 in exchange for their votes – an equivalent total of $21million [N3.381billion]. The $7,000 was paid in foreign currency and an additional amount of N250,000 in local currency was handed to each of the 3000 delegates for “hotel and transport” costs – equivalent to a total of N750million. On the night of January 13, 2011, on the day of the PDP presidential primaries, the sum of N4.13billion [N750million + N3.381billion] was disbursed by the Jonathan campaign. And so victory was secured.

Following the victory at the Eagles Square, the President’s campaign re-focused its attention to consultations [taming] with political groups within the North who were unhappy with Jonathan’s candidacy and believed that President Jonathan should have stepped down for a northern candidate – in line with the zoning agreement previously reached by the party. For this, the president’s men made extensive consultations with each of the Emirs in Northern Nigeria and with other leaders of thought in the north. Confidential information available to 247ureports.com reveals that the consultation exercises, by the end of January 2011, cost the President’s campaign an excess of N500million.

The Jonathan campaign took an interesting turn as it entered February 2011. A fleet of private Jets was leased from four major carriers -King Airlines, Wings Aviation, Top Brazz and Overland – for use towards the national campaign. The normal charge for per hour of each aircraft was $6000 per hour – and the Jets operated at 70 hours per week. The Jonathan campaign paid the rate of $10,000 per hour - for the period of 10weeks – equating to an amount of N100million daily – totaling to an equivalent of N10.5billion for the said period.

Then came the February 14, 2011 billionaires meeting where the 28-member Presidential Campaign Council [PCC] was set up at the Eko Hotel in Lagos. The billionaires consisted of Aliko Dangote, Otedola, Adenuga, Elumelu, Jimoh Ibrahim, Emeka Offor, Kasim Bukar, Sayyu Dantata, Jim Ovia and others. And as the PCC which was primarily tasked with raising funds for the campaign began work in February of 2011, the oil subsidy requests for payment also began to experience a quantum leap from the budgeted N245billion to N1.7trillion.

Interestingly, the Petroleum Resources Minister, Mrs Allison Madueke and the Finance Minister, Mrs Okonjo Iweala while testifying before the House of Representative Committee investigating the Oil Subsidy funds management indicated that the amount disbursed as at February 2011 was N245billion – and that begining from March 2011 the amounts submitted for approval suddenly surged.

Explaining the surge, the source pointed to the personalities within the 28-member billionaire PCC as directly responsible for the surge from N245billion to N1.7trillion. According to the source, shortly following the formation of the PCC, Sayyu Dantata, a member, through his company, MRS Oil submitted a N225billion oil subsidy request for payment, Femi Otedola, through his company, AP, submitted a N105billion oil subsidy request for payment, a ‘mysterious’ construction company by the name Pinnacle Construction also submitted a claim for N300billion – during the same period.

It was during the same period that Stella Odua Ogiemwonyi who was one of the leaders in the Jonathan campaign organization filed a claim that she had spent her own personal money to the tuned of N5billion – for the maintenance of the campaign secretariat. Stella Odua Ogiemwonyi is the Chief Executive Officer of Sea Petroleum and Gas. Interestingly, her company submitted claims for oil subsidy payments in excess of N5billion. Her claim was approved and paid.

Cursory inquiry confirms that a significant percentage of the claims submitted by the members of the PCC were fraudulent. The fraudulent oil subsidy claims freed the President’s ability to spend in a manner deemed unprecedented by informed experts.

On March 16, 2011, the campaign released N55million to a media company [name withheld] for a single advertisement slot. By March 31, 2011, the campaign paid N7.3billion in advertisements. On March 28, 2011, it donated one car and one bus to each of the 36 chapters around the country and the FCT – along with a cash donation of N14million to each chapter [totaling N518million]. In monetary terms, its equates to a little over N1billion. Between April 12 and April 15, 2011, the campaign disbursed N107billion.

When approached regarding the sourceof the exobitant spending, the Director of the Neighbor to Neighbor Initiative [the main NGO funding and managing the Jonathan campaign], Mr. Mike Omeri stated the donations came from online contributors.

Comparing the yearly trendings of the oil subsidy claims submitted from 2006 to 2011, highlights the anomaly in the oil subsidy claims between March 2011 and August 2011. In 2006, subsidy claims was submitted for 26.9million liters of petrol for the amount N200billion, in 2008, subsidy claims was submitted for 33.4million liters of petrol for the amount N630billion, and for 2010, subsidy claims was submitted for less than 33million liters of petrol for a little over N600billion.

And so it begs the question, What the President knew about the N1.76trillion subsidy payment.

Family / Re: My Fiancee Had An Affair With Her Business Partner by gbigbega: 3:41pm On Jan 25, 2012
I see many people cruxify this woman because of her past. Somebody was open enough to tell you  her past and you want to destroy her future because of that? I think thats very wicked.

connox, I know its a difficult but put yourself in her shoe. You dated your colleague at work and your fiancee asks you to either loose your job or forget the relationship. You would have been more justified if she did it when you guys where dating but  from your story, it was before she met you. I advice you be a man and dont destroy what you have built. Like i earlier advised, Let them know how much you hate to see them together because of their past (that understandable). Let her reaction to that action direct you on what to do. If she is still trying to protect the guy then you can consider leaving her but if she is also trying her best to build the relationship, then  you know she is serious with you. I speak first hand.

Let him that has no sin cast the first stone.
Family / Re: My Fiancee Had An Affair With Her Business Partner by gbigbega: 3:12pm On Jan 25, 2012
Friend, I was in your shoes. What I didn't do was to chicken out. I made sure all my fears were addressed. I told her how much i dont want to see them together even though I knew she was sincere about leaving the guy. Now we are (VERY) happily married with kids.

You need to to be strong and act like a man. Its not manly to back out. You also dont have to do it by making her life miserable and giving her options that is unberable. If you do this, you will switch the coin when you marry; you will be happy while she will not be. Whatever you are going to do, make sure you do with utmost seriousness and love. you must not make yourself seem insecure. What if you break up with her and your next fiancee lives close to her ex? will you still back out? Tell her that seeing them together or mentioninig him is obnoxious to you. Its also good to call the man and let him know you know what he did and that you are not happy with him around her. Dont be afraid to let him know you dont like him at all and do everything to show it. If your fiancee really likes you, she will stick to you and will do anything to make sure you are comfortable. If not, it will be clear where she stands( I will however advice you express your dislike for him to your fiancee first before going on to tell him).

She may be sincere with not having or wanting anything with the man but she is putting herself in a vulnerable position. Asking her to leave the business may not be the best option but you have to do what you have to do for her to gain back your trust.

If you really love her, go all the way to have her.

Webmasters / Re: Fireworks Vs Photoshop by gbigbega: 2:34pm On Jan 24, 2012
PS and FW ? it depends on what you really want to do. FW was designed for building web graphics.

PS can do what FW do and more. Ps is used for photo editing and design, you can build the whole of your website in photoshop and export it as HTML. Sincerely, if you want to learn an image editing software, PS is the way to go.

Adobe bought the micromedia suite of web designing tool which includes dreamweaver and fireworks among others. Fireworks was micromedia's image editing software before Adobe purchased them. This explains why the two are still in use till date.

PS is not complex but has many functionalities. you start with tutorials that deals specifically with web desiginig if thats what you need it for and then proceed to the other function. I will advice you not to waste your time on FW.
Politics / Re: Who Is Your Best Nigeria President Ever? by gbigbega: 8:45am On Jan 24, 2012
Nigeria was at the verge of collapse when OBJ came in. He transformed it.

Dropped us from the most corrupt country list
Provided employment opportunities for many
Made phone accessible to all
Paid all our debt and left the nation with about $32B excess - which was depleted to $500m during Yaradua/Jonathan era
It was in his days that many Nigerians where able to buy cars (people prospered during his time like no other).
cabalism and terrorism was subdued during his time. You mess with the country, you are gone.
He was not tribalistic, mostly Igbos and Hausas where the people that transformed his administration.

He had his terrible sides too but i think he is still prefered (My thoughts)
To be truthful, I dont think we have any president we can give the best president tag yet. I think OBJ is the one-eyed amongst the blinds we've had.

Religion / Re: Biblical Quotes Proving That Jesus Is Not God And The Absence Of The Trinity. by gbigbega: 10:53am On Dec 02, 2011
I have taken time to read through about all the responses in this post. Its old but i want to put in my simple knowledge.

I see we all argue and derive formulars to explain the concept of the trinity. I think the answer is right within us.

During Creation, the bible says in Genesis 1:26 " And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, " If we are trying to define the personality of God, I thinks it was all embeded in the creation of man. If you believe God made man exactly like him; Not just in his image but also in his likeness, then you should know that the answer lies in you.

Lets look at who/what a man is made of.

Man is made of soul, spirit and body. You can say man is three in one. What everybody sees, know and interact with is your body. your Spirit interact with the Spirit world e.g when you are asleep you go places without leaving your bed. Your soul is the real you. Bible says "the soul that sinneth shall die". This means the consequence of living in the body and spirit will be meted on the soul. It is the soul that makes the final decision on what you do, though advised by the spirit and the flesh. the souls is more like the head. Remember that the bible says “let us make man in our own Image and Likeness”. This means Man (the soul) existed before God decided to wrap him in his image (give him a Body like God's) and breath in him his likeness (give him a spirit like God's). So you can actually say "we are gods" like the bible also say (Ps 82:6, John 10:34). This is because of our absolute resemblance of God.

As stated above, God exist in this form, 3 in 1. He can function as one person, having the three in Him or as separate entity but united in decision. all in all, He is one person with 3 different personality in him just like you are. While man find it hard to separate the 3 voluntarily, God's personality can exist "independently" as God.

At creation, in Genesis 1:26, God said "Let us, " which mean he was talking with some personalities. It also mean it was not the decision on one person (so to speak) that brought man into existence. It was the decision of the Trinity. Though one, yet in a group of 3, Just like you and me are. Many verses in the scripture points to this. I will mention some

John 1: 1 -In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, vs 14- and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

Note here that Jesus was Called THE MIGHTY GOD, and also THE EVERLASTING FATHER. Jesus was referred to as the Father here.

Some argue that Jesus is not God because he said in Mat 24:36 that no one knows the day and hour of the second coming except the Father only. They say if Jesus is God, he should also be aware of the day and time. Again I will ask you to look at yourselves for the answer. Have you ever unconsciously sang a song that you did not learn, did not like or is against your believe to sing? At such time, you suddenly jolt out of it after maybe singing it half way. While your Body and maybe spirit refused to learn the song, your soul learnt it and even started singing it against your will. In this instance, the knowledge of this song was not revealed to your body. There are also times when you have dreams and you where giving instruction which you did not remember when you wake up. That instruction was meant for your Soul and not your body. For man, this is an involuntary action but for God it is voluntary. He is all powerful.

Sometimes we just accept everything by faith, which is good, but if we look closely, there is always a shadow of every spiritual thing, here on earth.

Most software abroad can be purchased in Nigeria. there are various third party reseller who sells almost all the type of sofware you may want to buy here in Nigeria.

You can also use your master or visa card to purchase any product online and get it sent to you. GT naira master card can be used to purchase software online. If the manufacturers can't send it to you directly, you can use a shipping company (they are everywhere in nigeria) to help you with the purchase or/and the shipping. They can even buy it for you and ask you to pay them in Naira(get more info from any of this sites aarcargo.com, http://www.onlinepurchasesnigeria.com/Home.html, http://www.shopabroad.com.ng/).

Many Christian believes in Trinity. God the Father , God the Son, God the Holy Spirit being one.  I  discover recently that many dont know how this is . What is your understanding of the trinity.

1. Three different Personality Working together and agreeing as one

2. One person that  can function as 3 different personality.
Career / Re: Are Second Class Lower Graduates Still Relevant In Our Society? by gbigbega: 11:33am On Sep 08, 2011
2:1 is not a sign of brilliance or prospect for riches. Most of the very wealthy and CEO in Nigeria are not First class or 2:1 candidate. Many of the people with 2:1 cannot even defend their result or perform well in exams and interview. the recent NNPC exam shows this. The GMD of NNPC said most of the 2:1 candidate failed the exam. I can confirm this because 8 people in my office did the exam and 3 of them failed. the 3 people had 2:1.

What you need to succced is hard work,God on your side, and a strong desire to succeed and face any challenges that faces you. Those who had all this 3 going for them almost never fail.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Are There Jobs In Uk ? by gbigbega: 8:10am On Feb 10, 2010
Guys lets be sincere,

I think most of you trying to defend jobs in the UK are been dilusional. Nigeria is far better, many nigerian who find themselves in the UK don't have permit to do a good job no matter how professional they are. Most go into the UK as illegal immigrant or study and so are not entitled to get good job.

Most people who live in the UK run away when friends from home come visiting. They dont want them to see their secret. they dont want them to know they are slaving it out in the UK. Visiting Nigerians are the one who go there to spend, the ones resident are very stingy because they dont have much. They cant come home because they cant get a good job. This is majorly because they have either been sweeping a street, cleaning offices, doing body guard, and "Peke" in the toilets.Tell me what revelance will such a person be in the professional field. No matter where such go, he cannot get a job meant for professionals.

My advice to people going to the UK is that you should not go there to work. guess what you are competing with the Indigenes, you dont have a work permit and you are black. Event if you school there, please still come back because you will hardly get a good job. If you are a mechanic, carpenter etc who is use to labouring for few naira, then you can go and do same mania job there for more.

Many are afraid to return home because they dont have what it takes to survive in Nigeria.

The lack of creativity in the industry is alarming.

The singers are singing nonsensical word all the time. The producers are using the same type of 'dance-all' beat ( i am sincerely tired of hearing that dance-all beat every musician is using nowadays).

We need people who are creative & inspiring. Music that makes you want to try something new yourself.

bluenubian please be objective. If what you want is to really know the truth, then you should be ready to allow the truth to set you free. I understand you love 3 6 mafia but please be careful and know that it is not all the things we love that is good for us. You may have a good intention but they may not have such intention for their listeners. If their song is from the devil, then be sure it will not do you any good. How else will they get it into the public if those songs are not very attractive and soothing to the hears- we are talking about the devil here bro.

You are a product of what you hear and see. Your mind, life style and believe is shaped by what you hear/see. Look at yourself and see if there is anything you are today that is not a product of what you hear/see. The bad or good things you are today is because your either heard or saw them; and guess what? they are always very attractive and suiting to the ears/eyes.

They have chosen their part in life. Please Choose yours with care.
