PoliticsRe: Russian Scientists Find Silver & Traces Of Gold & Oil In Taraba by gbogboti: 4:21pm On Apr 24, 2012
Its not a new discovery. What's new is the estimate of silver-gold deposit area coverage. I trust the whites when it comes to scientific accuracy. The middle benue trough is rich in economic stones we know. The questions is, how much resources is the state government willing to put into the exploration process? Nigeria is blessed, we know. Is rather sad that collectively, we don't feel happy about good news from other regions.

saxywale: chai, northerners don suffer ooo.lol
This making the front page is stereotyping itself. There are several Nigerian students and graduates doing same abroad but no one cares about them cos they are from the south.
INSIDE OF U...U KNOW U ARE NOT HAPPY THAT A NORTHERNER IS ABOUT TO DO SO. THANK GOD THAT YOU ARE A MERE MORTAL. ORDINARY DUST. TUFIAKWA FOR U.

Those of you guys ranting 'one in a trillion' are bigots. The point here is that he is Hausa. Point blank. Ask southerners who schooled in the north if they all made 2.1? or First class since education in the north is cheap and passing is a lot easier. Guys, ignorance dey worry a lot of Nigerians sha. Funny enough, a lot of the so called educated down south are not even that sound. I met a Geology undergraduate lady on 2.1 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University who couldn't differentiate between Topaz and Quartz. She failed all the simple questions I asked her. I shook my head and said in sadness 'na wao'. Now tell me.

See, God made us all equal for all I know. He gave us equal anatomy. We humans are just too wicked. The only problem the north has is religion. Apart from this virus, they are as good as we from the southern part of the country. If you meet a properly schooled northerner, he will disgrace you if you are not careful. No be lie. I studied engineering from northern university, today, I am doing very well. I presently work with one of the oil and gas servicing companies here in PH. Initially, my colleagues were making gest of my degree cos' it's from a northern university, today, they can't do without me cos' am just too good. Thanks to ABU ZARIA. No be lie.

PoliticsBoko Haram Transport Guns From Apapa To Borno With Petrol Tankers by gbogboti(op): 10:42pm On Apr 20, 2012
By ALBERT AKPOR
… Boko Haram uses petrol tankers, camels to
convey arms
DETERMINED to consolidate and
perpetrate their reigns of terror in the
northern states of the country
against all known security apparatus
put in place by the federal
government, members of the Islamic
fundamentalist sect otherwise known
as Boko Haram, now move their arms
and ammunition from one state to
another in petrol tankers. Crime
Guard authoritatively scooped that
the group also uses designated
mosques as their armory.
According to sources, most of the
sect’s weapons entered the country
through the Apapa Wharf and the
northern borders of Chad, Mali and
Niger Republic and are evacuated
into tankers with the alleged
assistance of some members of the
authorized security agents at these
borders suspected to be members of
the group.
Camels to the rescue
The tankers would normally sail
through all checkpoints until they get
to their destination where the
contents are again evacuated into
designated mosques. Camels are
said to be equally used in this
movement of arms and ammunition.
Sources said a curious policeman
attached to Wuronu Division in Borno
state stopped some of these beasts
of burden normally loaded with grains
coming into the country through
these northern borders only to
discover l54 ammunition and two AK
47 Assault riffles carefully hidden in
babaringa of two members of the
sect escorting the camels. Both the
animals and the sect members were
arrested and have been transferred
to the Force headquarters, Abuja for
further investigation.
It was alleged that a prominent
northerner and one time military
head of state (names withheld) was
behind the recent tactics. The
source further stated the former
military leader had at a time called
and notified a senior Custom’s Officer
at the Apapa wharf when one of the
containers of weapons of destruction
arrived to ensure that it was not
inspected.
He was alleged to have equally
mandated the customs officer whom
he facilitated his enlistment into the
organization to ensure that he
supervised the trans load of the
weapons from the container to the
tankers. The whole exercise was
said to have taken place at the dead
of the night. Sources hinted further
that the recent tricks was aimed at
outwitting eagle-eyed security
personnel including the Joint Task
Force JTF at the various checkpoints
in the troubled states.
Fake NNPC inscription
Investigation further revealed that
most of the tankers used had the
inscription of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation NNPC. This
was formulated to deceive security
operatives and erase any form of
suspicion.
It was learned that though the sect
was yet to be beaten to their new
tricks, security personnel, especially
men of the JTF, now stop petrol
tankers whether private or
government owned for detailed
search while their drivers are
mandated to spill little content of the
tanker to authenticate if it was
actually conveying fuel. In addition,
security agents also detail some of
their men to escort the tanker (s) to
the filling station and monitor the
discharge of the content.
Poisoned pure water
Impeccable sources also informed
that apart from conveying arms and
ammunition in tankers, the sect has
also devised another deadly means of
killing members of the JTF via
poisoned sachet water popularly
called pure water.
According to sources, members of
the sect disguise as good citizens
and go around with bags of poisoned
sachet water to give to JTF
operatives as gift, adding that a
sizeable number of the JTF personnel
may have lost their lives through
such murderous act.
A senior police officer serving in one
of the northern states who spoke on
condition of anonymity said one of
such tankers carrying arms and
ammunition was spotted recently
inside the premises of a mosque
where electric welders were busy
cutting open the tankers to evacuate
the arms and ammunition into a
particular chamber of the mosque.
He said, “That is the recent tactics
that has been uncovered. But you
see, there is little or nothing we can
do.
They now move arms and
ammunition in petrol tankers and
hide them in special mosques where
only members of the sect worship.
Recently, we discovered that these
people were arming themselves from
the mosque and we quickly mobilized
and laid ambush for them. Most of
them lost their lives during the
encounter while others shot their
ways to escape.
However, we are handicapped
because even though we know these
mosques, we dare not enter into
them to avoid religious war in the
country. Some of them who were
seriously injured during the bloody
encounter but spoke before they died
mentioned a one time military head
of state as their sponsor and that
they get their arms from Apapa wharf
in Lagos and through the three
borders in Borno state.
Again, you know soldiers do not take
bribe unlike the police, but they easily
collect gift. Members of the sect
disguise as good citizens, drive
around town with poisoned pure
water as gift to the soldiers of the
JTF. This murderous act is not
reported because I can tell you
authoritatively that many soldiers
have lost their lives through this
means,” he stated.

PrinceDudu: Has Nigeria moved forward with the south holding the presidency for the whole period of democracy in Nigeria?
You can change a country within a span of 5yrs if u are serious as a president. You can root out corruption within a year of leadership. So all the ranting about how many years each region has used is total rubbish. Obasanjo with a full blooded military gene had all the opportunity to fix Nigeria but what happened?

Abeg! Make Nigeria break up make we know how far.

One thing is sure, every region has failed Nigeria.

The south-south should be the most developed region with all the monthly allocations plus 13% derivation. But, where is the development? Ibori is one good example of how far the south-south leaders have failed their region.

I served in south-south as a youth corps member. Omo, see poverty. Poverty is everywhere in Nigeria. Take it or leave it. We have one big problem in Nigeria, that is throwing blames @ each other. Let's break up and see. One funny fact is, no more free movement and settlement across each regions. Food that is taken for granted now will become a serious issue. I bet u. Mind you, not all parts of the south is oil endowed. Soon, it will be, south-west do you have oil? South-east, how much oil do u have? In life, we humans hardly appreciate what we have unti u loose it.

In fact, OP, u have said it all. For one whole week, etisalat couldn't resolve my complaint. It was so annoying. They have the worst customer service amongst all the networks. Their 200 is a complete rubbish. I have mailed them severally to learn customer services support from the Y'ello network. Abeg, etisalat is complete nonsense. For BIS I will not even ask my enemy to try etisalat or glo. I tried using glo once, omo, I nearly cry. Etisalat is only good for DATA BUNDLE BROWSING. Even at that, if mistakenly enter a different data bundle plan as against the one you intended, u are finished cos' they won't opt you out of that. It happened to me once. What I did was to get another of their SIM. CUSTOMER SERVICE in Nigeria is rubbish. Try calling DSTV to reconnect you after payment "you go know how far". They will be using your credit to tell you about cashless Nigeria, mobile money etc. You can imagine? The guy who picked my last reconnection call will never forget me in a hurry. After wasting my money on advertising how to go about DSTV payment under a cashless Nigeria policy and mobile money nonsense, the guy wanted to ask me my name, email address, etc. "I told him to shut up and reconnect me" after telling him my SMART CARD NUMBER. I told him that they can't do all that nonsense in SA. Nigerians can endure sha.
PoliticsDiezani Alison Madueke’s Secret Romance With Hayden Boss, Dapo Abiodun by gbogboti(op): 12:22am On Mar 31, 2012
Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke’s Secret Romance With Hayden Boss, Dapo Abiodun Exposed **Why They Broke Up

According to what First Weekly Magazine is reporting, the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke is undoubtedly one of the most powerful people in the country.
Apart from holding the sensitive position in the executive council, she also has the ears of President Goodluck Jonathan. The beautiful woman, we learnt, had an 'underground' relationship with a Lagos-based Oil and Gas big boy, Dapo Abiodun.

According to information at our disposal,
Diezani Alison Madueke and Dapo Abiodun dated for a while and while it lasted, both enjoyed it to the fullest both in Nigeria and abroad, according to those who should know.

The source said Dapo Abiodun was the Apple of Alison's eye during the late president Umar Musa Yar'Adua's tenure when she was the Minister of Transportation and later solid mineral resources.

We learnt that Mrs. Madueke and Dapo's affair was closely guided and only a few people in the corridors of power knew of it.

Dapo, who owns Heyden Oil, one of the major players in the oil and gas sector over a matter some of their close friends could not resolve, got more patronage through Madueke's influence.

But somewhere along the line, we learnt Dapo fumbled and Alison had a bitter fight with him.

“When Alison Madueke became Minister of Petroleum, she made sure Dapo's Heyden Oil got little or no allocation for the importation of petroleum products, which accounted for serious drop in his fortune.

“The fight is still on, but I know Dapo Abiodun is trying to find a way back into the woman's heart,” our source disclosed.

However, the source said Mrs Alison Madueke, who is married to a former Chief of Naval Staff, Rtd. Admiral Madueke, has stepped up and has no time for Dapo Abiodun again.

You know Dapo is a lady’s man, but the minister has told some of her confidants that he belongs to her past now,” our source said.

Swahili is most widely spoken African language. Swahili is spoken in these countries: Tanzania 99%, Kenya 87%, Uganda 85%, Burundi 55%, Democratic Republic of the Congo 48%, Rwanda 28%, Swahili is also spoken in southern Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan and northern Mozambique and the Comoros Islands. It has more than 11 million native speakers (speak Swahili as first language) and more than 120 million secondary speakers. That makes Swahili the largest African language.

Arabic is widely spoken in many African countries, but it is naturally not counted as one of African languages even though there's arabic-africans lives in Africa; it is because most of native African countries has a low percentage of Arabic speakers.

Since almost every African country was at one time a colony, speaking English, Portuguese, or French will also help you communicate. Many Africans will speak Creole or pidgin versions of these European languages and they may not be so easy to understand when you first hear them.
