Baldie: Hello guys
Please does anyone have good information relating to landing in recent times. Been hearing some stories about Copr holders not being allowed to travel as a result of not having authorization letters. I’m about to book my flight so I need to know the current situation from whoever has information from a trusted source.
Thanks! Recently, as at yesterday and today, Egypt Air, Ethiopian Air, KLM, Turkish Air are not allowing boarding from Abuja without AL. So I would advise you to calm down and watch things for the next few days before you book. Also, join PostPPR groups to get real-time info. |

Iambowcreek: Hello House Please I really need advice/direction on what to do. We received PPR mail yesterday 23rd Oct 2020 and have only 30days to submit our passport. My wife is pregnant and will be due in like 3weeks. Pls do I still go ahead and submit the passports or wait till she delivers and raise a webform immediately to inform IRCC or we should raise the webform now and inform them. Pls experts in the house kindly advice or if you have been in such situation pls what did u do. @lambwcreek My advice would be, do not send your passport to them yet, 30 days from 23rd October would be 23rd November by which time, all things being equal, your wife would have been delivered of your baby. Then send them a CSE notifying them of the new born. Should your wife not be delivered of the baby on or before the 3 weeks as you stated, raise a CSE like 5 days to the expiration of the 30days and inform them that you are aspecting an addition to your family with the expected date of delivery. They will reply you with the next steps. Congratulations to you and your family |

Renewed my passport today at the Ikoyi office. Pretty smooth only that I had to wait for a while for 2 IC to sign on my document because I had a little above 6 months validity on my passport. After the approval, every other thing was pretty straight forward. Captured and the passport will be ready by 10th August as stated on the collection slip. |

Goddys: please who knows whether nimc office headquarters at Ikeja is open. I was at NIS Ikoyi and confirmed that my DOB in my passport and nimc database is different.
I will have to pay 15k and apply for a change of DOB which may take 3 months to be effected.
I need to start the process now before something urgent that will require international passport comes up.
Servicom officers at NIS said I have one year from date of payment to come back for capture They are currently operating skeletal services. They open between 9am-12noon. I was there today to do a reprint of my slip. Please go before 11:30am. I was there by 11:45am and I was told they had close for the day. I had to plead with the guy there before I was attended to. |

Mamaroon: What Olalekan said.
Please let us carefully review the VO's comments. I don't think it's about whether the applicant mentioned NYSC or not. I think it is safe to say NYSC is not an internship or apprenticeship program!!!
HOWEVER, the VO seems to be arguing that the LOE (not even ref letter) is not consistent with the chosen NOC. He uses local knowledge of NYSC programme to buttress this point. As we cannot see the LOE submitted (why was there no ref letter??), it is difficult to say.
Did the applicant submit a ref letter? Is it possible that perhaps the teaching role performed by the applicant is more suited to NOC 4032 or 4413. Was the teaching done at a secondary school? Was applicant the main teacher?
As has been stated over and over and over, get a ref letter as close as possible to IRCC format from employer that shows your roles being majorly (80%and above) in sync with chosen NOC.
Obedience is better than sacrifice. @Mamaroon you are a legend in this critical thinking based on the available material evidence. You just displayed very analytical mind that respond based on available evidence. Cheers! |

Zeus04: @Ednut @Otoge, I really don't see what he has done wrong here. He simply directed the fellow that asked for help towards the right direction in his findings and research. Sometimes you may not need to know everything before you can show someone where to look which I think he has done here.
Mind you, it's not everything u get advice on in here you just swallow down... It's often advisable to also do your own findings before adopting anything. Hence, since he has directed the fellow, it's up to him to go out there and hustle for the information if he is really interested in the immigration thingy. Perhaps, if successful for him, he can come back and share.
@JustMellow, nice one o! Thank you for this empathetic, sound and wisdom filled advice. I hope we all learn to address issues soundly without unnecessary "extras". |

Dammie0904: I'm 90% if not 100% I read on this thread that if your proof of funds has been inside your account for more than 6months that you don't need to provide a gift of deed and I had the same mindset of doing the same thing. Just imagine that! We all need to understand some things about this process as it partains to POF. 1. While in principle, there are set standards, no 2 applications are the same. 2. Typically, if your application is simple with all information provided appears to suggest that your years of experience and income on the long run could fetch you the POF, the VO "may not" ask for further proof, hence the 6 months of your POF remaining in your account may suffice. 3. Also, when your POF is in investment form with it spending sometime in your account before the investment, from the testimonies of others, it appears VO don't request for further proof. P.S point 2 above should also be a major consideration. 4. The VO has the right to request for more documentation and proof if the information you have provided is suggestive of some irregularities. Hence the need for you to be proactive. If you know your income and experience can not fetch you that POF, simple provide the details of the funds upfront to avoid stories that touch. If it's a gift deed, provide the proof with an LOE and save yourself the trouble. 5. As has already been said, notorising your gift deed is a choice not a requirement from IRCC. 6. For the person asking with regards to POF, my suggestion would be as ednut has already said, write an LOE stating that the POF is from your husband. Attach your SOA the month when the fund was transfered or any proof of the transfer ( I would suggest you stick with your SOA). In your SOA highlight the transfer and upload together in the section for POF. There is always a separate section for LOE to be uploaded. From other testimonies, they will request for your husbands SOA if the money was in his account and he was only writing a letter to inform them that you have access to the funds in his account. But I doubt, his SOA would be requested. Caveat: no 2 applications are the same, if you need to add anyother proof, do as your gut leads you. I hope this helps though. |

GBSS: Please note, this is for change of name due to marriage So today, my wife and I decided to do it ourselves. After receiving outrageous prices from different immigration officers, who were suppose to help us get a new passport for my wife reflecting her marital name, we developed righteous anger and decided to do it ourselves. First we contacted an immigration officer at FESTAC who was to do the passport for 40k. On getting there, my wife was left to herself to do everything even with a young child. She got feed up and left there without processing it. But before leaving, she her silently got everything needed for her to apply for change of name. Please note that the procedure for change of name due to marriage is slightly different from renewal without any change in basis data, you can verify this on their website Tuesday we made payment and selected Alausa office as against FESTAC, because the immigration officer kept saying the approval will come from Alausa. Why go through hell, when you can land in heaven with a direct flight? I placed a call through to servicom and had the buy in to go before our date for interview. So, today we left for Alausa, went straight to servicom as was often said here. Was directed to the appropriate section. On meeting with the officer, a slight drama wanted to play out, but my disposition to everyone told them I was not in for playing hide and seek. The officer wanting to send us back because of the interview date, but with a gentleness, I referred to my previous call to servicom and he obliged. Then the full drama started.
I hope to update you with more information as we progress. To be continued Part 2After all the drama that took place in my part one story, we went to the immigration office after 2 weeks of enrollment to capture. Turns out the approval for the change of name has been granted and we were not notified to come for capture, according to them, it just got to there table the same day. My wife was asked to wait so she could do her data capture, which she did and was capture that same day. Then the wait started. After capture, we twitted several times at them, some they replied some they didn’t. After about another 2 weeks, we had an update from their twitter handle that there was no update on our application form Alausa. Hmmmm... So we had to get to their office to know what’s up. On reaching there, it was discovered that the file was yet to be attended to. We were lied to, that Abuja was yet to reflect the name change on their system. On hearing that, we came home and contacted an officer in their Abuja office. Their we got to know that it was yet to be sent to Abuja for the name change. With that, I contacted the ministry of interior report twitter handle. They graciously replied and contacted Alausa office, only to discover that they were yet to send the approval of name change to Abuja. After 2 days of follow up with the ministry of interior, we received a call from the officer in charge of name change at Alausa that we should come and make formal change of request of 32 pages as against the earlier 64 pages we requested, that this was the cause of delay for passport. The next Monday we where at the immigration office to submit the requirement for that change which required an affidavit from the court stating that we are no longer requesting for 64 pages and a letter to that effect. After this submission, we followed up with the ministry of interior twitter handle. After 3 days, our passport was ready. Just like that! So, the lesson for those applying for change of name, followup with the ministry of interior twitter handle and the officer the application was submitted. If it becomes difficult to reach the officer, always use the PCO. These officers can lie without the devil noticing it was a lie. End of story |

SunshineD1: Pardon me, Is it possible to add an almost one year old baby to an existing application awaiting PPR or after PPR? Is that not misrepresentation? I think the monikers statement is ‘a child less than one year’. I agree that the question does not give information about when the child was born, before, during or after the PPR process. But it would be a safe assumption to make, that the question is being asked because the child was birthed after AOR. Making an assumption that the child is almost one year would be a long assumption that may not follow directly from the statement of the moniker as one can argue that the child could be 2 months old, which is far from your assumptions. Also, you may want to ask the VO of the moniker, because if it’s AVO, LVO,SVO as we have seen, it’s possible the application is way passed the normal 6 months duration within which, if you are married, anything can happen. In any case, whether the child is 9 months or 1 year, as long as the child was birthed after AOR, the instructions are clear on there website and it does not fall under misrepresentation. I hope I addressed the question asked. |

Thegirl2019: Good day house, please I would like to know the requirement for adding a baby less than a year old while waiting for PPR or after PPR
The documents please and how long would it take Thanks You need to raise a CSE informing IRCC of your new baby. You will be required to do medicals, provide passport and update your POF. I think you would be given a limited time to do that, so it’s wise you commence the passport before you inform them. You know how to get passport for Naija be. |

The only category I know of that you can add after PPR or while waiting for PPR is your spouse, means you got married after your application was submitted. Olami90: Good morning sir/ma.
I checked immigration website and I saw 15k for 32-page passport. In his words, if I want a 32-page in 1day, it will cost 40k. If I want it in 1-2weeks, it will cost 35k.
I only sensed there is someone he is hiding probably for his personal gain.
So may I know the amount you are charged (for fresh application of 32-page passport) and which of their offices you visited?
Thank you. Go through this trend https://www.nairaland.com/1969461/cost-nigeria-international-passport/98#85237049.You will find the answer to your question. |
