Health › Re: My Thoughts About Nigeria Medical Doctors. by gcof(m): 10:06pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
the truth is that these doctors are humans and not google you ask questions and answers shows up immediately, they treat patients based on experiences they’ve had with another patient and what they read while in medical school. Patients also do not help matters as many patients cannot comprehensively give a description of what is wrong with them, keep repeating questions and sometimes try to dictate to doctors how to treat them. Now imagine you as a patient going into the consulting room right after such patients. |

eyinjuege: If you need someone to talk to, get a therapist. If you want a Dr to spend as much time with you, it's best you go to a good private hospital. They will give you your money's worth. When you go to a government hospital, their clinic time runs strictly on schedule. They cannot afford to stay longer than necessary in clinic as they have other responsibilities in the hospital. They still have their ward patients to look after, they have presentations to present to their peers and to also learn. Even abroad, you will be lucky if you get 15minutes with your Dr, except in countries like the US/Canada where you actually pay for the time or your insurance pays. Unlike other countries in Europe where their healthcare is almost free. In clinic, there are hundreds of patients waiting to see them, and you aren't the only one. I'm sure if the patient before you stays too long, you will still complain. and when its your own turn, you won't want to leave on time too. We all know once the time for clinic is over, they will leave. Do you want other patients after you not to be seen?

Amarabae: Having gone through your post, I really don't see how the doctors you met offended you, You came for treatment to be well and not for an interview class with the doc, there are crowd waiting also to be attended to. If he diagnose you, you have a phone, when you get home, you browse about the issue. Simple. You should not be in hospital to count which health professional laughed with you, you should be there to get help and go are you kidding me?? Patients are like faulty cars and doctors like mechanic. Are you telling me that after a mechanic fixes your car, you don’t ask for the cause to avoid reoccurrence?? As a matter of fact, telling a patient the cause of his/her ailment should be the first thing a well trained doctor does even without being asked |

Americans saw all these and they love him and they made him their president despite all the falsehood the media were spreading about him. Don’t be surprised if he wins second term |

CaptainFM1: Well said. However it is this same comic way he rose to power. You will remember there's no opposition he did not give names to. Lying Ted, Crooked Hilarious Clinton, Little Ted, Little Rocket Man, Low Energy Jeb https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nicknames_used_by_Donald_Trump
So, what's your point? He still became the president of the greatest country in the world. He never changed his stance and it has taken him less than 2years to revive American economy. His base still loves him. Americans particularly loves him for his continuous effort at "draining the swamp".
I don't think any president is bolder than him. Like he woke up one morning and Unilaterally declares Jerusalem the Capital of Isreal. How about the peace deal ongoing with the Little rocket man? He's a great nationalist, and that's exactly who we need in Nigeria.....not a lifeless Buhari Nigerians just tune to cnn, listen to one news about trump and feel like they live in America. They must think that America’s voting system is filled with corrupt practices and rigging just like in Nigeria |

Aderewah: There is only one billionaire in the picture. That's Dangote. Nigerians don't know what billionaire mean. I laugh when they call Davido's father a billionaire. It's not hating but Kendal Jenner is richer than Davidos father. A billion is $1b
Modified To all of you quoting me, Kendal is worth $900m. For your info, his dad's can't very worth more than $250m max. And he's not on forbes. It's not beef, it's fact. Almighty E-money that you hype is worth $10m. To put it perspective, may weather got $300m one night.
Moral We like to show off and over exaggerate the little money we have in Nigeria as compared to real money in Asia and the West. Real money don't make noise.

Not kneeling in your wedding is your business, but there might be underlying attitude that this girl posseses which means she's in for more spoils, na her type dey make man believe she dey do him favour.
The truth is, there are no two captains on a ship, there are nonsenses girls of nowadays do that i just look at them, giggle, then laugh out loud, a very submissive and repective wife rules her home, she weilds more power than the husband self, the man subconciously cedes power to the wife, she's the prime minister while the guy is just a ceremonial head.

If we continue to be sentimental and emotional in our judgments in Nigeria then we will never get anything right. I was at one of the town planning office some time ago and it is very unfortunate that people will apply for approval to erect a two Storey building and go ahead to erect a four Storey structure. In the building plan for approval, you will see a standard building with enough space between the building and fence but on site, they will attach building on the fence and a completely different structure from what was approved then they keep bribing their way until the building is finished. People should learn to do the right thing and stop playing the sympathy card. If the owner of the building complied with the state town planning specifications then he should go to court and seek for redress and compensation. |
