haha, actually it's a video I was watching on the comparison btwn a 2k10 and a 2k9 sport supercharged version. the 2k10 will get to 60mph and break back to zero in 14sec even b4 the 2k9 gets to 60mph.

Please can anyone explain what this caution light(in the box where the gear selections shows an exclamation mark in a sun like circular form) might mean? Find picture attached.

The first time it showed i noticed the car was still moving but i parked turned of the engine and restarted it and it was gone. It has appeared like 3 other times, i would really appreciate if anyone who has had a similar problem could tell me what it might be. I drive a 2001 bmw 325i e46.

I love the machine drives like a beast but the sign got me worried.

Dont know if a scan would be able to detect it while it isnt showing.

that sign on a range rover means one should check the tire pressure dnt know if its same for ur beemer.

to be safe anyone buying one of this rangies shld factor in an amount so you cld come do a proper inspection so one cld get value for money. nice job bro keep up the good work till I call u for a pre purchase inspection.

Managed to lock myself out of the E46 today.

Was warming the car, then decided to give it a quick wash before work and shut the open drivers door.

Wash over, I tried to turn it off and discovered it locked.

Had to jiggle one window slightly open and extend a metal rod to press the unlock button in the centre console. Highly frustrating task.

Got it in the end. How that happened in the first place I have no idea.

I wonder who designed such a system. my kompressor on the other hand will only lock up all doors when u put it in gear and start moving. so even if the key stays in the ignition all day with the car on as long as its not moving the doors will never automatically lock.

blown MOS-FET, what's the function of that particular component...MOS-FETs don't burn out easily, depends on the type though.

, it is a chip in the ECU that control the kompressor magnetic clutch. have replaced mine b4 @ #400.

coupled the ecu and fitted it back. disconnected the maf and took it for a spin, as I drive the CEL went off and the car was driving strong and normal except for a roughness when I want to accelerate hard from a stand still. when I came back home turned it off and restarted the car the CEL was back on. will still try other alternative and report back to the house.

ripped open my ECU/brain box to check the usual suspect (blown MOSFET) but it appears to be fine.

tried to clean the MAF this evening with CRC cleaner but I notice so much oil all through the air intake and the MAF. dnt know how it got there, but if it does not help when am buoyant enough I'll replace both MAF and the S/C.

cld not scan cos the connector under the steering wheel is not powering. the fellow connected the scanner but there was no signal.

was driving to abuja last week, btwn 140 to 160kmph I suddenly heard a slight bang sound from my car then I stopped and check but noticed nothing so I continued driving till I got to my destination. on starting the car again I notice the CEL came on and since then the ride is a bit rough at start and at times it it just goes off at stop lights or hold ups. took it for a scan and more bad news, the connector under the steering wheel is not powering. so for now all I have done to ease things up is to change the plugs, clean the nozzles and change the fuel filters and am also suspecting a dead MAF cos when I rev the engine cnt feel that pull of air and the S/C clutch hardly spin. any one with the slightest idea. tnx

After all said and done in about 5hrs the thoroughly done work was over , the gumming alone took me about 4 hrs, because i wanted it the best that will last, since Benz is about durability.

I am not after space and moreover i am not married so i don't even mind the C350 and if i pre-order the car,i will only use it for 3 or maximum 4 years before acquiring another one. The vehicle i had in mind to pre-order was the 2009 Toyota Avensis(from Germany since there's none in USA) but i considered so many things and the top on the list was the security issues with high risk of theft on Toyota brand of cars and that was what made me change my interest to the Mercedes Benz apart from the durability,you hardly hear people complain of mercedes benz theft.

Am not sure how much a toyota avensis will cost but one thing am very certain is an equivalent year C- class will be way more expensive than that toyota. I guess u will have to step up ur budget.

I want the house to suggest between a 2008 or 2009 Mercedes ML350 and 2008 or 2009 Mercedes C300/C350 which is better in terms of maintenance because i don't have any experience about Mercedes benz vehicles and i intend pre-ordering one any moment from now. I don't want a vehicle that will suck me dry or that will have any difficulty in getting parts even though i intend pre-ordering one with mileage less than 70,000 with a clear title. detail advice needed please. Smartchoice,Au.hanson,Trac,Kuntash,Sienna,etc your advice needed please.

Both cars are are good but on opposite side of the scale. For the ML350 its very good based on review and also from a competent technician here in kaduna. He said a bmw X5 will spend weeks at their workshop compare 2 an ML that mostly just come and go with ease on repair.

If u dnt rly need the space the C350 is the car to go for cos that car is way fast and rewarding 2 drive than the ML. Most complain abt the ML bn under powered (268bhp) for such a big car.

Looks and performance wise the C-class is definitely what I'll advice u for. But if u need the space for family or for slightly rough terrain then pickup the ML.

Pls be warned......this are not ur everyday toyota's. U dnt ride around with. Ur check engine lights on and expect evrything to be ok, they both will definitely cost u more than ur rav4 2 keep so have that in mind so that u dnt end up disappointed. Best at it.

Any way if I were u I would not buy what I have not physically inspected. If ur new to BMW pls take an expert( maybe someone that has a beemer) along with you even if it means u gonna pay him so that u dnt end u spending half the price. Of purchase after u buy the car for fixing issues.

Its safer to know what ur up against from the start so that u can get a good deal on the price of the car. Pls once again take a mech with u to inspect the car forget abt the looks. Looks dnt drive a car its the mechanical aspect that do. If any of the check lights is on ask question or demand for a scan.

Some car seller clear the codes without fixing the fault which means its gonna show up after u purchase the car. so ask for a test drive and drive as hard as u can to make sure the car is sound..

Pls check the cooling/heating system to make sure it they work normal.

open the hood lets see what the engine is like. a lot of this old e-class i have seen do have suspension problem so be on the look out for that.
only buy this car if u have an extra budget for fixing it, and whats up with the back seat the bench seems ripped off the back rest.

ziccoit has said his own based on his experience. honestly i'll suggest u go for the 'bulletproof' late model C230k. got one and its a TANK. paid about 1.3mil around September 2012 and its still kicking even at 188k miles.
