I remember in times past when the church used to be a place where we learn to be humble, selfless and learn to disregard materialism and usery and opt to be charitable. But what I observe in recent times is that Pastors now encourage materialism, pride and indecency in most Churches.

My understanding is that the contemporary Christians have brought the world to the Church and moved Christ out of it.

There was this saying in times past that one could be as poor as a Church rat. But Church rats today are more robust than house rats because most Churches are now richer than Public Liability Companies.

Is this an indication that the Church has failed us?
