Politics › Re: Independence Day Celebrations Of The 1970s And 1980s (Videos And Memories) by Gee64: 8:37am On Oct 01, 2021 |
He is not alone in government. We are all to blame for the woes we are all facing today. For us to go back to the status quo, we must all reorder our priorities as individuals and as a nation. Cantonese: Those were the days were we practiced unity in diversity. Inspite of the ambitions and aspirations of the political leaders, we had good people with integrity, openness and a lot of shared values. We had Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Nnamdi Aikiwe and Mallam Aminu Kano. We also had some very bad eggs among the leaders but ultimately we moved forward.
Independence celebration was always very colorful, very beautiful. Everyone prepared for it like Christmas and Ileya. Everyone shared food and drinks. Everyone looked forward to getting to TBS to see the planes flying over. Everyone scrambled to get the national flag. The planes would throw little balls bearing the national colors and all scrambled to get it. We had a happy nation even with the civil war behind us.
Nigerians were happy in the 60s, 70s and 80s. It did not matter where you came from. Inter tribal and inter religious marriages were promoted. When it was Christmas everyone shared the joyful mood. When it was Ileya, ram was shared happily among all.
This baba planned a coup with IBB and the rest, executed it on the 31st of December 1983 and Nigeria never remained the same again since then. |

Celebrating Nigeria's Independence with empty stomach. For goodness sake, let's all stop promoting scam and criminality. It's giving us as a nation a bad name globally. We are the cause of the problem in Nigeria. Even the government we are condemning today, we fraudulently voted the politicians into office. We created graduate unemployment because most of the said graduates are unemployable. Imagine a graduate mathematics teacher who couldn't solve a simple JS3 mathematics simultaneous equation. And there was this Teacher of English whom I asked, "What subject do you teach?" Her reply was, "I teaches English".
Let's stop being fraudulent, selfish and tribalistic if we must move the nation forward!
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! |

Health › Am I Addicted To Nairaland Forum? by Gee64(op): 6:24pm On Sep 29, 2021 |
There is no day since I became a Nairaland Forum member that I do not open to the website for at least five times daily. More so, I spend more than five hours on this forum each day.
My children say I'm addicted to Nairaland Forum but I always remind them that if they look at my signature below my write-up on Nairaland, they would understand how the Forum had also helped to promote my interest for the good of the suffering masses.
The hustle continues. |

In defence of my profession, I submit as follow:

*University education in Nigeria has become so cheap! |
Romance › Re: Help I'm About To Marry A Choleric Woman by Gee64: 9:27am On Sep 28, 2021 |
When you were knacking her you didn't consider the fact that she's choleric, it is now that you have demolished her abuna you know that she's choleric. Chimeric kor, chloronackric ni..YOU must marry her oh..if you are not willing to, then, don't spy on my signature below oh..because I don't want you to mine Pi COIN. Just joking. My advice is that you can marry her and learn to tolerate each other. It might be rocky at first but everything would go well with time. My marriage is a good example of what you mean. Modernizer: I won't bore you all with a long write up.
I'm ready to settle down, actually I needed to settle down like yesterday. Problem is, I don't make friends easily and hooking up is even tougher. I don't trust easily.
So I'm talking with this girl that checks all my boxes ( quite a rare feat for my high expectations), but for one thing...she is evidently a choleric. I know because I'm one myself.
The hot temper, impetuousness, some bossy-ness, independent mindedness, low empathy, high ambition...all those tell tale choleric features give it away.
Now I know cholerics are advised to get their opposites say phlegmatic for relationship purposes, but I want to ask the house: can I a hot tempered man cope with a hot tempered woman? Any people with experience on this here? Can both of us with low empathy really be compatible?
The adverse statistics coming out of marriage these days scares the sh..t out of me. I don't want any of it.
Should I drop this girl? Or can it work?
Sorry oo...it may sound small but that's my own challenge.
