Celebrities / Re: Mike Ezuruonye: "My Wife Didn't Give Birth To Albino, No Divorce" by gemale(m): 2:24pm On Jun 20, 2018 |
made4naijamusic:Even if she gave birth to an albino, what's the big deal? It's just a genetic mutation that leads to a deficiency of melanin, the pigment that makes our skin dark & gives our iris their colour. It doesn't affect their intelligence or makes them physically handicapped. Only heightened sensitivity to sunlight & little eye issues are what they suffer & these can easily be taken care of by using sunscreen, clothes, hats, & glasses. Why are we still ignorant this 21st century & discriminating against albinos? Genetically, it can lie recessive for many generations because it need two alleles from the father & mother to be physically expressed. It's kind of similar to the way AS carry the sickle cell trait without any signs until they combine with another AS to give birth to SS. |

ChangeIsCostant:See the aberration in this country called Nigeria caused by Obasanjo. Isn't it written in the Constitution that there shouldn't be any state religion in the country? Why the is Sharia law operating in certain states? It is an infringement to the notion that Nigeria is a secular state. How can we have 2 sets of laws in a country? Is that not the making of a banana Republic? What sort of backwardness is this? We are supposed to be in a democracy for goodness sake. How is intake of alcoholic beverage now a crime when in that same region, illegal psychoactive substance abuse is the order of the day? We need to start thinking well ASAP. |

AutoReportNG:How would they take care of the numerous danfo drivers & conductors rendered jobless by this development? That's what a good government would think of. We need to make well-thought plans & policies sustainable in the short, medium & long term. Would these buses be turned over to those danfo drivers or what? All these Knee-jerk, cosmetic solutions wouldn't just do. Do we want to trade better-looking buses for additional unemployment? My 2 cents. |

Kelamma:This one is more than government. We are too wicked to ourselves. Why would someone who fears God & has conscience be washing what someone would eat in faeces-polluted water? Is that not evil? If not for the grace of God, cholera or enterovirus epidemic would have long made us extinct in Nigeria. Typical Nigerians are quick to mention God but when I see acts like these, it screams "devil" loudly. |

courage2702:My brother, I once struggled with this vice & other vices but praise God for delivering me. It might seem impossible to man but nothing is impossible with God. First of all, understand that it is neither by power nor by might but by the Spirit of God. It is only by leaning on His ever-abundant grace that you would get victory & not fall back. Understand that this grace is what you need daily to continue & triumph when you are tempted (because you would be tempted). You have to understand that complete surrender to God daily is non-negotiable because it isn't you that would defeat any sin but the Holy Spirit living in you. Learn to rely on God & lean not on your strength or wisdom. Start to learn how to die to the flesh & its desires. Cry to God & ask for help. Ask Him to take over everything about you, especially your heart because all imaginations stem from there. Ask Him to destroy every trace of lust in you & replace it with His purity of heart. Next, clear all defilement present in your life that triggers this act. Things like pornography, lewd chats, songs, movies etc should be fled from, deleted from your devices. Instead, become an addict of God's word & prayer. Memorize a bible verse daily & pray as frequently as possible especially when facing temptation. Also, if there's any other sin you are struggling with; no matter how 'small' even if it's telling so-called white lie, ask God to help you defeat them. Also try to fast maybe like once in two weeks but please remember that fast without prayer & word study= hunger strike. It helped me because sin could come sometimes, the urge to sin might be like hunger; it could try to deceive one that to do it is necessary like eating food so mastering desire for food could help. Finally, realize that the day you stop surrendering to God is the day you would fall back to those bad habits if not worse. You can never outgrow needing God & His grace rather you have to grow more in it. Following Jesus is something that becomes your life, everyday until Jesus either returns or calls you home. Understand that there is nothing in this world for you; you are a mere pilgrim here. Heaven is your home & your inheritance. Please read Romans 6,8, galatians 8:16-24, ephesians 4,6:10-17. 1 Like |
Romance / Re: Can A Man Love His Woman Dearly And Still Cheat On Her? by gemale(m): 7:33pm On May 21, 2018 |
MARX77:When a child says he loves a Christmas fowl, is it the fowl he loves or the chicken he hopes to eat on Christmas day? If you fell into temptation, check yourself & the authenticity of that so called love. Something is amiss. You must love a certain desire that you love above that person. Anyway, the reason why numerous spouses cheat is because they lack the genuine fear of God. If we truly knew the terror of the Lord, we wouldn't try it. |
Romance / Re: Can A Man Love His Woman Dearly And Still Cheat On Her? by gemale(m): 7:19pm On May 21, 2018 |
Klinee:Do you really understand the true meaning of respect? I doubt it. If you truly respect someone, you wouldn't do what he/she doesn't like even behind that person. Any other thing is hypocrisy, pretence & eye service. Any man who cheats might say he loves a woman; talk is cheap but in truth, he doesn't. Infidelity reeks of selfishness & there's no selfishness in true love. You think hiding Infidelity is love? It is nothing but craftiness & craftiness is of the devil. Stop deceiving people. The fact that that evil is popular doesn't still make it good. Any man who makes a vow before God to be faithful to a woman & breaks it is bringing judgement on His head if not in this world, in the next & vice versa. Let Him that has an ear... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Virginkpekus:That's the problem in Nigeria. We know how to accuse others without looking at ourselves first. So bad leadership & corruption in public office is enough justification to defraud people? So when you stand before God in judgement, that is the type of excuse you would give? SMH. We lack the fear of God in this country. Most of the church/mosque we are going is eye service & has little or no value in the eyes of God. There's nothing like big sin, little sin in the sight of God. The wages of sin is death unless true repentance & conversion occurs. 2 Likes 1 Share |

NwaEzefuNaMba:Who made you judge over that matter? What makes you think you are a better person than that fellow you intend to kill? Why are you so judgemental? Are you without sin? Why then are you hard on others when you yourself are imperfect? Is that what Christianity /Islam teaches you? Have you finish meting out your harsh judgement to liars, fraudsters, people who steal, fornicate, gossip, backbite cheat, smoke etc? All have sinned, hence none should claim superiority or holiness. What you should do is pray for & counsel that fellow then leave the rest to God rather than play God. God bless. |
Politics / Re: Nigeria School Food Scheme Revolutionising Education- Aljazeera by gemale(m): 12:07pm On Apr 21, 2018 |
This is one thing I don't like about governance in Nigeria. Knee-jerk, unsustainable, white elephant projects are what they specialize in. For how many years do you think this can last? It might seem heartless but this shows misplaced priority. A system where over 20 States owe workers salaries claiming insufficient money still carry the same 'scarce' money to spend on food to spend on this is frankly speaking, ridiculous. Parents & guardians should feed their children & wards. That's their responsibility. The government's responsibility is to create an environment where making an honest living becomes less of a herculean challenge. This is just a scheme to play to the gallery, something government in Nigeria excels in doing. Are those schools well equipped to give those children a meaningful education? Are the people who teach there paid reasonably? 2 Likes |

I believe that one reason why a lot of languages become extinct is because they don't evolve hence they become insufficient to communicate with. Look at the English language. The vocabulary evolves steadily along with time. There's a marked difference between the form spoken today & that spoken say 300 years ago. |

If you can't tolerate certain key traits (eg jealousy & self esteem issues) & the person shows no signs of changing (not for your sake, but for the purpose of becoming a better version of themselves), kindly maintain friendship with that person & don't go beyond that point with that person. 1 Like |

XXLDICK:My brother, do you believe death is the worst fate of a human? Death is inevitable. So why fear the inevitable? Why not prepare for it? Life is nothing but a countdown to death. You, me & anyone born in this world would die one day. This body we have is a future corpse. So where is the wisdom in endangering an eternal soul for a future corpse? The highest anyone can live isn't up to 150 years & 1 would now trade that temporary respite for eternity. That girl has faith & courage I pray to have. Mock all you want. The wisdom of God sounds foolish to man. Where does all the wisdom of the world end? In a 6 feet hole in the ground & one's brain becomes food for the maggots. The world goes on spinning as if one never existed. I believe in God because He is God. Whether or not He does what I want is immaterial. I trust Him though I am not fully in the know about His plans just like (if not more) I trust my parents even when I don't always like or understand what they do. The God who made the entire universe is not a gambler neither does He act impulsively. I pray she is unharmed physically but I know that the worst those people can do is kill her. Her soul is untouchable & who knows if maybe God can use her to convert some of those boko haram people? |

veekid:It's not about the show; that is just a symptom pointing to a greater malady. We are like the foolish man in the proverb who was chasing rats while his house was burning. The passion we exhibit for frivolities like big brother Nigeria is misplaced. Where's the sense in staying glued to a station that just shows young people shut in a house 24/7? Imagine if we employed the same platform to attempt to tackle some issues in our country. Is it not shameful that bbn is being held in south Africa because of the epileptic power supply in Nigeria? Why can't we, the youths do something like boycott the show & engage in protests to demand action from the government? Why can't we use our airtime to disturb our national assembly members to pass people-oriented legislation? Why don't we use social media platforms to engage in debates & enlightening conversations about how to improve our communities? 1 Like 1 Share |

admax:But in civilised countries, instructors don't beat the cadets. They can't shout at them but they dare not lay a finger on them. In 1 of those pictures, the instructor is with a whip-like object in his hand. In another, there's a stick. Military training anywhere isn't easy but trainees are treated with a certain degree of dignity. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Advocates For Marijuana Decriminalization: What Does It Mean? by gemale(m): 1:05pm On Jan 29, 2018 |
myproperty:It could have been school pressure or maybe the weed was mixed with other hard drugs like meth, Angel dust, crack & the cocktail caused him to lose it. The active compounds in weed (CBD & THC) don't induce psychosis. Any high feeling is usually temporary. That's 1 of the problem of criminalizing weed; there's no check of quality or standardization or regulations. If weed was legalized, quality would improve. |
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Advocates For Marijuana Decriminalization: What Does It Mean? by gemale(m): 12:52pm On Jan 29, 2018 |
myproperty:Abegi! Oga, living in Nigeria is enough to make someone mad so don't blame weed. How many cases of weed-induced psychosis has been reported in advanced countries? There is no credible study that has shown that smoking weed makes people mad. Scientifically, the effects of weed are largely parasympathetic; reduced heart rate, slowed breathing, increased appetite, increased dopamine secretion aren't compatible with violent crimes because epinephrine is the hormone secreted in the aggressive state. Hence, weed relaxes people & makes them less liable to get aggressive. If anyone who takes pot commits a crime, it's because of his criminal tendency or other factors not weed itself. Another factor of crime associated with weed is because of its illegal status, which attracts criminals to be involved in its production & sale. The same was the case with alcohol in the US during the prohibition era. Organized crime got involved & the influence of the mafia grew & hasn't still been eradicated totally till today. Anyone who wants to be responsible or otherwise would be regardless of weed intake. I've met weed smokers who are outstanding in their pursuits. It's about the individual involved. |

Ovokoo:And this made front page? Nigerian youths, please wake up! Our nation is currently tottering & swiftly assuming the status of a failed state & we, the youth, the supposed future are busy dissipating our energies on BBN (or rather, BBSA because it's holding in south Africa). Don't you feel any shame that a show ending in our country's name cannot be hosted in our country? Why? Because of our electricity disaster. Doesn't your heart bleed to know that the only country with a worse power crisis than us presently is wartorn Yemen? Any honest individual looks around & sees little or no hope in our country yet we are still jesting & clowning? Is this the generation that claims it should be given the reins to direct the affairs of this country? I think not. If it were, i would see the Internet shut down with protests against the present situation & avenues where how to save our country would be the dominant subject. Social media would serve as a rally ground where productive ideas would be exchanged. Political awareness & national policies discussions would trend & the sparks of a mental revolution would be ignited in every nook & cranny of our country. I write this in the hope to generate the friction that would kindle an intellectual bonfire among patriotic citizens that could cause us to get our act together. Let the fooling around stop. Time is running out. 1 Like |

My brother, ask God to help you bridle your tongue. Don't you know that the power of life & death lie there? The book of James equates the tongue to the rudder of a ship. Yes, circumstances are not looking too good in our country but if we all truly repent & turn away from our wickedness & cruelty to 1 another, this country would improve. whateverkay:Please i hope you are being sarcastic. It's obvious that if this is true, that even with 1 billion being budgeted to feed the presidential guards, all they get is egg & fried rice that even with at most #100,000 can prepare a feast for more than 500 guests, there is massive diversion & misappropriation of those funds AKA corruption right under the president's nose. This is very sad. I can wager that the United States secret service (the equivalent of our presidential guards) don't treat their personnel so shabbily. These people guard the president's life for goodness sake. They are expected to take a bullet for the president in the case of an attempt on his life yet they are fed so poorly despite the big amount allocated for that purpose. Now imagine if someone treated that way is now approached by someone with bad intentions for the president. Isn't it likely that if he's offered enough incentives & immunity, he can decide to look the other way & allow something befall the president. Why are Nigerians this callous? This is similar to what I experienced in nysc camp. I heard that #500 was budgeted per meal yet this people served us food without water. The quality & quantity of food we were served was nothing to write home about. As overpriced as the food in mammy market was (#350/plate), It was by far better & bigger than what we were served. If each corper was given that amount in cash, he would afford a plate of sumptuous food at mammy market with a bottle of malt to wash it down. 1 Like |
