Christianity EtcRe: Cardinal Okogie Slams Pastor Adeboye For Building Churches Everywhere by gemale(m): 12:17am On Oct 09, 2017
Vivere:
Yes, o! I am much better now, after I changed churches. My faith is stronger, my old fears are gone and I pray far better than I used to, in the past. No more bad dreams, too. grin Isn't it my prerogative to change churches? The Bible says those who believe in Jesus Christ shall have eternal life, not those who attend a particular church every day. Spot the difference, if you can.
If what you claim is true, thanks be to God brother. However, don't try to attribute your present state to changing churches. You obviously weren't serious with God before. The fact that you used to sleep in church is proof enough. I think that if you had sought God truly before changing churches, you wouldn't have changed because you would still have the same results. I used to be lukewarm & apathetic before the Lord rescued me & now I actually look forward to & enjoy mass even when I went to a place where it was conducted in a language I didn't understand. I just asked someone nearby to interpret. The rosary I used to recite mechanically before; God has helped me to meditate on them, drawing insight & messages from them. The sacraments of penance & Eucharist now offer deeper meaning, draws me closer to God & channel grace to me, especially in trying moments. Now I am full of thanks that I belong to the church founded by Jesus Himself. Still, I concede that I have barely scratched the surface. There's way more I haven't yet discovered.

Cardinal why are you so bitter? Has he come to ask you for money, why don't you just mind your ministry and allow us build our church, that is the man's vision, ok tell your vision ? From what I see your own vision is to fight men of God.

Please let them be, I beg you
That man you think is being bitter is expressing his own opinion, which I think is true. If you know of Anthony Cardinal olubunmi Okogie ever since he was bishop of Lagos catholic diocese, he is plain & calls it ho-ha. During the dark days of military rule & abuse, he was 1 of the few church leaders that spoke against it. Isn't what he's saying true? In almost every street, close or crevice in Nigeria, we have a church if not churches. It isn't uncommon to see different denominations in 1 building yet evil, hypocrisy, wickedness & vice abounds while the fear of God & true righteousness is extremely low. Quantity has now supplanted quality. I heard that it was something like this that led to the collapse of Christianity in the middle east. Christians there became more interested in building magnificent structures than building true disciples & soldiers of Christ. I also heard that the 7 churches that were spoken of in the book of revelations were in modern day turkey, which is nowa country with a Muslim majority. The bitter truth is this; God is not impressed by the number of churches we erect but rather how many true followers of His are present there. God is not impressed by how many people fill up the church building but how many people there are filled with Him & to be filled with God, 1 has to 1st empty 1 self of self, rebellion & other impurities. We lack the fear of God in this country; that's is why many of us claim to be Christians or Muslims yet still caress & toy with evil. That's why an average Nigerian is always looking for how to swindle, cheat or take undue advantage of his neighbour. Why would people steal food from IDPs? Godlessness & lack of fear of God. Why the high rate of crime? Same cause. High corruption rate? Same cause. We need to stop deceiving ourselves. All those prayers & crusades we organise to pray for Nigeria & all those monies government spends to sponsor pilgrimages (both Christian & Muslim) wouldn't change squat. Whatever we sow, we shall reap. Isn't it shameful that atheist nations possess more integrity than we do? Let every house be a church; Nigeria would continue deteriorating until we all forsake evil (public & private) & do the right thing.

Mr OP,

Don't just judge Ezenwa by mere WAFU please.

Remember how we discovered Enyeama, from Enyimba, at Korea/Japan '02... and there was no looking back for him ever since.

Give the man a chance! Don't discard the baby with the bathwater too soon. He could be the dark horse between the sticks in Vladimir Putin's country
Ezenwa was awarded the best keeper in WAFU having kept clean sheets in all but 1 match in the tournament. He has done an excellent job in the qualifiers only conceding a penalty. If he continues this way & if ikeme doesn't recovered before the world cup, i feel comfortable with him in goal at the world cup.

naijastoryz:
1. This is the hardest match we've played in the WCQ and it showed how we would react to a decent opposition. A lot of work needs to be done on this team as we're going to the tournament next year.

2. Our defence is average. Ezenwa is raw and not very good. He goofed in our 4-0 defeat at the WAFU final 2 weeks ago. We need a better keeper. Echejile is old and worn out: he doesn't have the legs any more. We need a veritable replacement. Leo and his CB partner looked ragged today against an average attack. I'm picturing how they would fare if they're faced with Harry Kane or Alvaro Morata.

3. Moses is NOT a no 10. Conte knows better. Asking him to play towards the centre was counterproductive. He did better against Cameroon because he was played in his natural position. Alex Iwobi is a better number 10 than Moses. Playing Moses towards the centre and Iwobi to the wide was an error.

4. We need better strikers. Ighalo who couldn't secure a spot at Watford and had to go to China seconded by Ihenacho who was booted out by Pep Guardiola and is yet to secure a spot at Leicester isn't good enough. Except the situation of one of these boys changes before next year, we must shop for another striker. It's unfortunate that both Chelsea FC's Tammy Abraham and Liverpool's Solanke have disowned us but we can shop more. We can't continue fluffing chances like we did today.

5. African referees continue to be shameful. Twice in this match, a clear onside was called offside by blind referees. A clear goal that should've stood was wrongly cancelled for Zambia. We won this match because African referees are incompetent and this is why they can never be respected on the global scale.

On the whole, congrats to my dear Nigerians (borrowing Buhari's words). See you in Russia next year!

1. I agree that our team needs to improve in certain weak areas before the world cup.
2. The duo of Balogun & ekong might not be world class but they are very formidable & less prone to errors. The only goal we have conceded since we started using them is a penalty. It is rare to see opposition strikers get into 1 on 1 with our goalkeeper. Yes initially it seemed the long balls the Zambians played gave concerns & their 9 was mobile looking to run into space but they were dealt with. As the game went on, they became more formidable & forced the Zambians to start taking long range efforts. Ezenwa has been fantastic for us. He makes good saves, commits little or no errors & is always alert even in long range efforts. To lambast him is unfair but if he does better, it is to our good. Elderson is poor, i agree hence I hope Rohr would start aina against Algeria to see if he can do better.
3. I don't think Moses played as a 10. He & simon switched periodically as 7 & 11. If it seemed he become a bit central, that was probably him trying to cut in to shoot or creating space for the FB to overlap & join the attack.
4. I agree that ighalo was unimpressive today but sometimes in football, players have bad days. He played better against Cameroon if you noticed. We do need another striker (proper 9) to compete with him so he doesn't become complacent. Iheanacho shouldn't be played as a 9 IMO rather he should play behind the 9 as a SS because he has good positioning & finishing. That was why he was lethal in the 1st leg.
5. The Zambian player was offside. It was a good call by a vigilant official. He was slightly ahead of Elderson (the last man in our defensive line) when the ball was headed in his direction. The whistle was long sounded before he netted the ball. A hot-headed referee would have carded him for kicking the ball after the whistle had sounded. The 2nd call involving Moses (i'm assuming) was wrong but that sometimes happens in football. The referee doesn't have the privilege of watching replays before taking a decision hence he could make mistakes sometimes.

Who was the man of the match?

Who will get the N1m and 10 bags of rice?
It's hard to pick 1 player. Ezenwa was very good today. He made good saves when tested, was composed & manned his area excellently. The duo of Balogun & ekong did their jobs well & were formidable. Shehu abdullai was brilliant for 90 minutes. He should be MOTM IMO given that he isn't a natural RB. Moses was his usual hardworking self even though the Zambians made it hard for him. Iwobi should have been started ahead of Simon, who IMO is a ball hogger & he proved why. It is likely he would get the award.

Mttcheeeew
Abeg did Germany, England, Brazil & other teams that have already qualified celebrate like this? This only affirms the hamartia of mediocrity & overconfidence that seems to be the default mindset of most of us in this country. We haven't yet qualified & we are already acting like we have won the world cup. Isn't it after the Victory that 1 should start planning how to celebrate? Even that should be lowkey because we would still have the uphill task of putting up a good show at the competition proper & also qualifying for the 2019 AFCON, (you know we are currently 3rd in that group lagging by 3 points & 6 goals from Libya, the group leaders). If we don't take care & start planning, it's likely we might miss AFCON for the 3rd consecutive time. Celebrations should only be after success & qualifying for the world cup is a step in the direction of success not success itself.

I have a bad feeling that Nigeria might loose this match
I hope not o... It would be terrible if that happens because we would be level on points with Zambia & our morale would suffer a heavy blow we might not recover from before facing Algeria in Algiers. There seems to be an air of overconfidence & complacency on our part that makes 1 feel uneasy. The Zambians long started training in Ghana & would enter uyo tomorrow meanwhile Moses (who didn't play during the weekend) is just coming today. This was unlike when we played Cameroon when the latest time any player showed up was Tuesday & even some like ighalo was present about a week before. This is why the quality of our local league has to improve drastically so that we can have the bulk of our players from there. This would reduce our dependence on foreign based players.

Who created hell?
Hell was created for the devil & fallen angels demons not men. However any man who chooses to follow the devil in rebellion & rejects God gets what he desires, a place where God's presence is removed. So why blame God for giving you what you chose? You can't despise God & rebel against His will on earth & expect to enter into His kingdom. God is principled. The Lord's prayer says "thy will be done on earth as it's in heaven". If you can't submit to His will on earth, how can you do it in heaven?

Truflame:
A christian will only suffer if his life style is at variance with the Will of God. A christian who obey the voice of God will escape suffering and tribulation
So Jesus didn't obey the voice of God? What about Paul, peter & the apostles who except john all died violent, unnatural deaths? Even john that was exiled to patmos was because he was thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil but miraculously survived. All these men faced sufferings & tribulation. Was it because they were at variance with God's will? So it wasn't Jesus that appeared to ananias & told him that paul would suffer for His name's sake? Was paul preaching heresy when he said "we glory in tribulation also" (romans 5:3)? The word "Christian" means "Christ-like". Christ suffered & as His follower, you expect immunity from suffering? Is a servant greater than his master? If you are not denying yourself, picking up your cross, then let me put it plainly to you; you are not following the footsteps of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Christianity EtcRe: What does the Bible says about Christian suffering, should a Christian suffer??? by gemale(m): 7:10pm On Oct 01, 2017
Akemmi:
Christians are not supposed to chase sufferings so as to be justified, but should sufferings come, we're admonished to be strong and not denounce our faith. Paul and Silas, and Peter didn't continue to remain in the prison after they were delivered. This is why we have a loving and caring God, who delivers us from tribulations...
God delivers us in tribulation. He doesn't deliver us from tribulation. He doesn't grant us immunity from tribulations but give us the strength to face it & emerge victorious. The Bible says “When you walk through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you pass through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” (Isaiah 43:2-3). "when" indicates certainty not probability. The word "tribulation" comes from the Latin word "tribulum", a heavy threshing-sledge used to thresh freshly harvested wheat. As a tribulum separates wheat grains from husk so does tribulations separate us from carnal chaff if rightly received. However, i agree with you in not active searching for suffering. Whatever cross is laid on you, carry.

hopefulLandlord:
The only way the Bible makes sense is if we conclude that god is a raving lunatic whose greatest thrill comes from human suffering. Its only when christians try to claim that "god is good" or "god loves us" that the story gets ridiculous.

This is supposedly a being that KNOWS EVERYTHING and has INFINITE POWER. Yet he stands by and watches every time a child is molested and does NOTHING to stop it. Does he strike the molester dead on the spot? No. Does he send a cop? No. Does he do ANYTHING to prevent it? No. Even though he could help the child with less than the blink of his almighty eye. Why? He can't say he didn't know. And he can't say he couldn't do anything about it, right? So he must ALLOW IT because HE LIKES IT!

The same with starving children and disease. Its entertainment for him. And even though he could change it all, with less effort than we could change the channel on our TV, he refuses to reach for the remote. Instead he'll just reach for a shotgun and blow a hole through the screen. YEE HAW!

This is one sick god we've got here. He loves human suffering so very much that he just couldn't get enough of it in this world. So he had to create a place of ETERNAL TORTURE so he could REALLY get off! And does he send people there who have done horrible things they need to be punished for? No, he forgives all of that. He only sends people who don't believe a story that says that the creator of all things is such a horrible monster that he actually created a place of ETERNAL TORTURE. If you think god is better than that you go to Hell.

Now reading the Bible what does it say Satan's big crime was? His ego. He thought he could do a better job than god. But looking at the world around us how wrong could he have been? Anybody could do a better job than this raving lunatic of a god. The christian god is just about what you could expect if the Joker from Batman had infinite power.
Dude i think you need God more than ever. It is obvious that you are at your wit's end trying to explain or manoeuvre your way through life. Only a great ingrate would say that God hasn't been more than good. Have God ever charged you a dime for being alive? Has He ever told you to pay for the oxygen you breathe for free? Do you get a bill for sunlight (the SOURCE of all energy)? There are so many things that God has given us that we don't even know or appreciate. If you are truly honest with yourself, you would see that suffering most times is inflicted by fellow humans. God gifted all men freewill. He doesn't force us to serve or love Him. With choices come consequences hence when people make poor choices, the repercussions are felt sometimes by society because humans are social in nature. The starvation you mentioned, is it God that does that or man? Isn't it greed by a few who amass & stockpile plenty while their fellow men wallow in lack? There's more than enough to go round. God provided the soil, rain, plants & animals for free to all men. If not for selfishness & sometimes laziness, no one is supposed to go hungry. On why God doesn't strike sinners dead instantly, the answer is simple; mercy. He is very merciful & doesn't desire the death of a sinner but rather that he repents. The mercy of God is available as long as we are alive. If God were to act as you wanted Him to, you would have been smote dead because in your post, you blasphemed & mocked God. Come to think about it, who hasn't sinned? Can you say truthfully say you have never sinned before? All those lies, thefts, gossip, insults, oppression, immorality etc that you, i & everyone have at 1 time of our lives (or presently) been guilty of; would you want God to strike you dead for them? I think not. So why wish another what you know you wouldn't want for yourself? It is very easy to point fingers at others while ignoring our shortcomings. The excuse that what you do is minor or small is very weak. That time your lie made your parents punish your innocent sibling or hired help is not something that's small. It's just the situation that is. If it was probably a case where the penalty was more severe, you would have done the same. Sin is sin in the eye of God. There's no big or small 1 & if not for His mercy, the entire mankind would be wiped out. As for hellfire, do you know it wasn't created for humans? It's for the devil & demons who rebelled against God. God's will is that humans spend eternity with Him in heaven but it's our choice. If we choose to serve & follow Him on earth, we are fully united with Him in His kingdom. If we choose not to follow Him & don't want to have anything to do with Him, we end up in a place where His presence is withdrawn. That is very fair. He basically gives us what we ask for. The fact you defend the devil is very sad. Would you stick your arm through a cage in the zoo to stroke a hungry lion on the head? You are sympathetic towards the enemy of your soul, who hates you with perfect hatred; the only personality you are allowed to hate. A being who envies you because you stand a chance to enjoy what he used to enjoy before he lost it due to pride & rebellion. A loser who was cast down from heaven with his allies after a resounding loss in heaven who is trying his best to deceive many to end up like him. The author & origin of all evil & sin that plague us. Who deceived Adam & stole his birthright & used him as a vehicle through which sin, death & suffering came into this world.

People will only lie down if the word is green ...He maketh me to lay down in green pastures ... If the word is not feeding him spiritually he should walk out ... Serving God is not boring if the holy spirit is allowed his way in the congregation.
The word of God is evergreen. As long as it is the word of God & not the words of flesh, the world or the devil, it is bound to produce fruits if it's applied correctly; see hebrews 4:12. If the word of God isnt feeding 1 spiritually, something is wrong not with the word but the person receiving the word. Remember the parable of the sower Jesus told? The quality of the word of God is unquestionable. It is all good seed (2 timothy 3:16)yet not all of them yielded harvest. The seed that was eaten by birds was of the same quality & pedigree with the seeds that produced a 100 fold harvest. What was the difference? The soil (which Jesus later explained represented the hearts of men). If a man's heart falls into the category of rocky, weed-infested or pathway soils, the word of God can never be truly fruitful. No matter how many churches 1 changes, it would never solve the case of a wrong heart. Allowing the Holy Spirit have His way is a personal decision. The day most of us realize that the greatest enemy we have to win in the battle of the Spirit is ourselves & not external forces, our walk with God would greatly improve.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Difference Between Trial And Temptation by gemale(m): 1:29pm On Sep 24, 2017
Smartini:
Both trials and temptations come from the Devil (James 1:13). Both are tests of faith and you can be stronger if you overcome then. God is not responsible for any. He just lets it happen. In my opinion, the only difference between trial and temptation is that trial seems to produce mental and physical agony, whether mild or severe, while temptation plays with your fleshly desires and gives you the impression that you're missing out on something amazing.
I agree with you except for the aspect of trials not being from God. Didn't Jesus pass through the trials & tribulation of the cross? Wasn't that ordained by God for Him? Trials are sometimes tools God uses to purify us, to teach us & to rid us of the toxic baggage of self. It build character & spirituality in us if correctly taken by us. Why did paul say in romans 5:3 that he gloried in tribulation? If 1 doesn't pass through trials, 1 cant be an overcomer. We have to be tested & trials are very good at that. It reveals our true motives for serving God, whether commitment or convenience.

I discovered that many youths have abandoned the churches they were born into to other churches (especially modern churches) and in most cases it happens once they enter high institution. Please, tell us why you prefer your current church to the church your parents dedicated you to?
I changed to another church because I became tired of my former church pattern.
I once left the church i was born into when i entered university. I felt my church was boring, its practices unscriptural & something my parents forced on me. When my mom heard, she nearly brought the roof down. She tried to get me to rescind but i remained adamant. Finally, she took the matter to a priest. Instead of him to give me any advice, he just asked if i had a bible & lent me some books about the origin of the doctrines of the catholic church. He advised me that before reading any of those books, i should ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten me & lead me to the fullness of Truth & read them cross referencing them with scripture. He said he couldn't tell me what i should believe but if i had any questions, i should come back to ask him. I did as he instructed & discovered that i was where God wanted me to be. I returned the books to him humble in the realization of what i had learnt. I discovered that there was nothing wrong with my church. I was wrong about her & because i didn't know the value of what i had, i was ready to cast it away. I never had the chance to thank that priest because he just came to my parish temporarily & left shortly. I tried to see if my mom had his contact but she could couldn't get it. Later on, my mom passed on thereby obliterating any chance of me getting to see him again.

The AK can take a lot of assault & lack of care but that would inevitably affect its performance. If an american made weapon is well maintained, it can last for ages & still perform optimally. There are still a lot of winchester rifles made in the 1800s that still fire as if it's still brand new. Also, an m-16 or m-4 seem to have better recoil control than the AK47 & can be fitted with silencers if the shooter wishes. I don't think AK47s have that feature hence its can't be employed for covert purposes.
Christianity EtcRe: Signs Of A Mature Christian by gemale(m):
Jackipapa:
It is by the grace we are saved not by works. Mature or immature Xtian I am not understanding.
Please do not join those who feel that because we are in the era of grace, anything can go. That is a lie. The grace of God is a privilege, not a right hence we don't know when our personal period of grace might end or be withdrawn. Was it not in the era of grace that Ananias & Sapphira were both struck dead? If that isn't warning enough, St Paul asked "shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" to which he replies "God forbid". Yes, we are saved by grace but let us not restrict the grace of God to just salvation. We should continue to avail ourselves to that grace to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ, which is its true mission. Hence the yardstick of measurement of whether 1 is maturing in Christ is to juxtapose 1's thoughts, words & acts with that of Jesus. Also compare your life before you surrendered to Christ & presently. If there isn't any or little marked difference, serious questions should be asked because no man can truly encounter Jesus & still remain the same. What used to drive or excite you would change. The love & appetite for sin would start to die. One would start to see beyond the instant, temporal gratification iniquity offers to its destructive tendencies. The hunger & need to please God would awaken in the person. 1 would find it extremely difficult to silence his conscience when trying to engage in evil. Pride, self importance, looking down or contempt for others would be something to dread. Death to self & crucification of flesh becomes a way of life. St paul spoke about spiritual immaturity in 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 when he referred to the Corinthians as babies. Why? Because they were fixated on petty, carnal rather than the things of God. A Christian maturing in christ understands that the flesh profits nothing. An immature Christian is 1 who has accepted Jesus but still has problems submitting to Him. He is someone who still chooses to be led by the flesh, feelings & emotions rather than the Spirit of God. Rather than mortify his body through the Spirit, he gives it free rein allowing it call the shots. He believes that since Jesus has paid the price, he should fold his arms & carry on with business as usual. An immature Christian is 1 who follows Christ primarily because of material, ephemeral, carnal reasons like those people in john chapter 6 who were about to forcefully crown Jesus king after the feeding of 5000 men that abandoned following Jesus after he told them he was The Living Bread because they found His teachings too hard. Immature Christians always want to have it easy forgetting or ignoring that our Lord Jesus Christ said anyone who should follow Him should dey himself, pick up his cross & follow Him. If Jesus didn't have it smooth, why should we have it smooth? Is the servant greater than his master? Hence, they begin to waver in faith when challenges arise unlikely job who declared even in the midst of numerous woes & losses "thou He slay me, still i would trust Him". That is where any serious Christian should aim to reach, a place where we would submit to God, no matter how inconvenient or terrible the situation seems.

RomanceRe: Can You Marry A Lady Or Guy Who Already Has A Child? by gemale(m): 7:41pm On Sep 14, 2017
bobolizim:
It's been long we've checked on each other so I saw her online on Facebook one day and we shared eachother's contact . On checking her dp on whatsapp, I saw her carry a child and I inquired from her whether she's a child and her answer to me was yes, she does .

Well, I'd considered asking her out before this occurrence but this answer of hers put me off totally . Anyways, we ended up meeting and during the course of our discussion , I probed again ; at first I wasn't sure of her answer , I was clearly obfuscated but at the end she eventually demystified my mystry . She's not with any child but then she asked me whether I could marry a lady with a child or not ? Which I hurriedly said no .

She began to tell me reasons there's nothing bad in doing that using a story of a lady who was raped by a guy she'd never fallen in love with. It's not like she didn't have the person she's dating , it just occurred that she's forced and all. Well, she made it known to her boyfriend, her predicament;hmm, it's a cliche that ''love is blind'',her boyfriend who is madly in love promised to care of her and the baby when delivered of.

Well, i have empathy for such a person but my answer is still no. It's not like I'm selfish but I'd not train a child that'd eventually become someone else amongst ample reason.

Hence, I'd like to know whether you can marry a lady or guy with a child ?
If i am able to take care of the child financially & other ways, why not? I might even go a step further & adopt the child as mine if the father is late or denied responsibility for the child if he/she is little. For me to have reached the stage of thinking about settling with the child's mom, it means i would have already had a relationship with the child & already sees him/her in my future plans. I believe it all boils down to a matter of taste & a certain degree of maturity & responsibility.
PoliticsRe: Restructuring: Tambuwal Chairs Northern Governor & Traditional Rulers' Meeting by gemale(m): 6:11pm On Sep 13, 2017
What do they want to debate about? Restructuring is a must. Nigeria is presently structured to fail. Our present state number was undertaken by the military government to create a powerful central government while weakening the regions hence in my humble opinion, we have too many states. The ideal primary yardstick for state formation should be economic viability. Every state should be able to bring something to the table in terms of national revenue. State governors are currently trust fund babies who just wait for monthly federal allocation & security votes to spend as they please with little or no accountability. No wonder they are trooping to abuja to go & do obeisance to the all powerful center, who hold the yam & knife. Any state that cannot generate its own money & manage its resources without federal intervention shouldn't exist in the 1st place. It's very embarrassing to hear a state say that it is a civil service state.

Cameroon was the strongest team in this group and they always have psychological edge when they play Nigeria, they were so confident beating the eagles in uyo which they showed for the first 15 mins. I took a lot of maturity and experience from the eagles to trounce them and draw them away and you call that complacency? You guys should stop all this over analysis. The team is on course, the zambians don't have that maturity and experience to beat the eagles whether home or away.
A team that last won a world cup match in 2002 & is currently facing a serious crisis in their FA has a psychological edge over us? Please explain how. I didn't criticize the 1st leg. We did a wonderful job & didn't give them a chance. We made their 2 CBs get booked early thereby pushing them in a tight spot defensively. The 2nd leg however saw us relent a bit & you can't do that in football. The Cameroonians did improve a bit but still they were poor. We should have won them if we were as intense as we were in the 1st leg. Yes we still lead with 3 points but there is a lurking danger. Your confidence in the indomitability of the super eagles is admirable but how indomitable are we? Consistence isn't a word we find associated with Nigeria. Underestimating the zambians is not wise. Did you not watch how the bafana bafana disgraced us in uyo a few months ago? A team we have beaten more times than the zambians. Zambia is not a small team in African football again ever since they won the 2012 afcon. I expect the zambians to bring the best game they have ever played against us because we stand between them & a maiden world cup appearance. All they have do is beat us in uyo & the blow that defeat would give our morale would do the rest of the work for them. They wouldn't be pushovers. So far, i believe they were the only team in the group that gave us a real tough time. If not for their profligacy & Carl ikeme's heroics, it would have been a different story at ndola. Yes we might have big names but they have a squad with a bulk of home based players meaning that there is better familiarity & team chemistry. This also means that they would most likely start preparing earlier than us. They play with pace, can threaten from long range with shots & do not get tired easily. Beating algeria home & away shows they should not be written off.
