The People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Kogi 2019 gubernatorial election, Engr Musa Wada on Tuesday, has asked the incumbent governor Yahaya Bello to stop using COVID-19 as part of his Presidential ambition campaign, describing his last outburst against the use of yet-to-arrive vaccine, as careless and unnecessary misleading.

Considering the fact that COVID-19 pandemic is strictly scientific-based issue, which ought not to be merely political, the engineer raises alarm against the approach of governor Bello towards the pandemic.

Engr Wada, in a statement signed by his campaign spokesperson in Abuja, Usman Okai Austin, asked the All Progressive Congress (APC) led government to take a very definite stand on the pandemic, as the party is blowing hot and cold the same time.

He said the confusion in the land is because the APC lacks proper direction on the pandemic, that is silently killing across the world.

The PDP stalwart alleged that Medical Doctors in their large numbers have left the state, owning to the governor's refusal to pay them their entitlements.

"One expects someone like Yahaya Bello to keep quiet over serious issues, and is unfortunate in APC as anything goes; Bello is being given a free hand and is creating more damages than necessary.

"Yahaya Bello's government lacks human face, as he is the least in the society to talk on issue of serious concern, considering the fact that Kogi state under Yahaya Bello has the worst health facilities with Primary Heath Care PHC, and Hospitals in comatose.

"In Kogi state today, some remaining doctors use candles and local lamps to attend to patients and nobody dare talk," he said.

Not fewer than 15 million youths have endorsed the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, as the most credible presidential candidate for 2023, a youth movement under the auspices of GYB2PYB disclosed on Thursday.

The group divulged the information in a communique by its Director-General, Amb Nihi Oladele, during the second virtual meeting held at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja

Recall the group had earlier presented list of the 31 state coordinators, which was adopted during its first virtual meeting in December 2020.

While inaugurating the state coordinators as well as commissioning GYB2PYB’s Head Office, the DG urged Nigerians, especially the youths to give Governor Bello the needed support in 2023.

According to him, “We have searched all over the length and breadth of our country and found out that Governor Yahaya Bello, who is a young man and who has given the women and young people the platform to be the drivers in their own affairs, will perform well if elected into office.

“Nigeria as presently constituted, needs a young dynamic, forward-looking, and experienced leader, which is why we are joining hands with Governor Yahaya Bello to liberate our country from the challenges confronting us.

“The governor has what it takes to provide purposeful leadership and good governance, if elected as President in the 2023 general elections.

“He will offer the right leadership, as he is interested in the good of Nigeria. The GYB2PYB Youth Movement is not a selfish agenda, but an effort to project, market, and sell him (Yahaya Bello) to other Nigerians.

“The GYB style of leadership is what we need in this country, the leadership of a government of the young people by the young people and for the general wellbeing of all Nigerians.

“Over 15 million Nigerian young men and women have signed a request letter that will be handed over through some selected youths and women across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT to Governor Yahaya Bello to call on him to accept to contest the position of the President.”

Olukoya Releases 34 Prophecies For The Year 2021

The founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has released 34 prophecies for the year 2021.

Olukoya, who tagged 2021 as the ‘Year of Restoration and Revival', urged Nigerians during the Church's annual crossover service, on Thursday, to pray because 2021 would be a year of the valley.

According to him, "This is a year of the valley that must be approached prayerfully to get desirable results.

"So, the three keys to tackle this year of valley are: the presence of God, aggressive holiness, and aggressive prayers."

Here are the prophecies below:

1. Is a year where serious prayers are needed to confront the fruit of this pandemic. The pandemic is yielding terrible fruits.

2. Is a year of aggressive engagement of the enemies in violent warfare.

3. A year of terrible temptations.

4. A year of deep distresses that only the balm of Gilead can solve.

5. Is going to be a year of strange rebellion and conspiracy.

6. A year where John 10:10 will play out aggressively.

7. Unless we pray very well, there will be breakdown of structures and protest.

8. A year of wilderness wandering and vagabond. Many will wake up and discover they've destroyed their lives.

9. It will be a year of multiple-magnified multiple problems.

10. Anyone who has come from polygamous family should pray very well in 2021 because the effect of that polygamous will be hugely dramatised.

11. Is a year of programmed controversies.

12. A year will need pray against the rage of waters.

13. A year will should pray against strange environmental disasters.

14. A year of very strange confrontations.

15. It will be a year of strategically inspired battles and wars. The beautiful thing is that, all these things can be arrested on the altar of prayer.

16. The Almighty God Himself wants this year to be a year of emotional and mental refreshments for those who key into it.

17. The hissings and bitings of envious children of God shall backfire.

18. Is a year you must seek for divine encounter. You must allow the words of Job 42:5 to manifest in your life.

19. Is a year of cleansing of our household from idols and abomination. Carryout a spiritual sanitisation of your house.

20. A year will need to raise altars and call on the name of the Lord frequently.

21. Is a year where if you do your restitution, it will yield dividends. If you've restitution to make, kindly do so quickly.

22. As people are getting closer to God and praying, it will be a year of multiple appearances.

23. It's going to be a year where sacrifices and obedience will be tested, that is, whether you're sacrificing to the things of God or not.

24. A year where investing your skills and creativity will yield multiple dividends to you.

25. Is a year of the 7 Ds: Desire, Determination, Discipline, Discipleship, Discernment, Deliverance, and Dominion.

26. It will be a year of chastising the sons and humbling of the proud.

27. Is a year to avoid these seven assassins: Selfishness, Pride, Parental disobedience, Lack of holiness, Unforgiveness, Stubbornness, and Prayerlessness.

28. It will be a year of mighty miracles for many.

29. It's a year you must deploy your gifts to serve the Lord.

30. For young men and women, it's a year of divine mandate to raise prophets among the youths.

31. It's also a year where the Lord will be raising young Esthers both in the public sphere and church of God so as to leave a landmark.

32. It will be year of dominion over our troubles.

33. Is a year of Goshen where the Lord will put difference between those serving Him and those who are not serving Him. Also, is a year of going back to Bethel to seek the face of God.

34. Is a year we must pray seriously that God will invade our nation.

One of the rescued students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, whose name was not ascertained at press time, has shed light on the recent abduction in Katsina, claiming a total of 520 students were abducted by bandits in the state.

According to him, the kidnappers counted them twice after the completion of their operation and told them they'd still be coming back for another attack on the Girls' Secondary School in the area.

This was disclosed on Monday by Arise News correspondent who conducted series of interviews with one of the rescued students alongside some parents of others still in the hostage of the abductors.

The Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Akpabio has advised the youths of this country especially the corps members to seek better and credible alternatives to paid employment.

She offered the advice on Thursday when she flagged off the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme for the 2020 Batch ‘B’ (Stream 1B) corps members deployed to Ondo State and those dislodged from Lagos State.

The State Coordinator said that the recent happenings in the country should encourage the corps members to think of how best they can be independent both during and after the service year.

“My excellent, outstanding and wonderful corps members. I want you to be successful during the service year and beyond. This is the reason I am propelling you to pitch your tent with the programme established by the laudable Scheme eight and half years ago to become self reliant.”

“I do not want a situation where you will be looking for limited paid employment when you can access the opportunities provided by the SAED programme in conjunction with financial institutions and empowerment agencies to becoming industrialists and captains of small and medium scale businesses”.

Mrs. Akpabio said that the sad reality of the present times is that a majority of our youths who are struggling to make a living are looking up to the privileged few among their friends whose parents have secured their future.

“It makes me feel very uncomfortable whenever I see our vibrant and strong youths with intelligence to go with it trying to look up to the privileged few among their friends for survival.”

“I want to encourage you to strive to be a successful businessman, like Mr. Tony Elumelu who today has made thousands of outstanding entrepreneurs across the continent of Africa,” she said.
