Someone who spends their time on nairaland 24/7 wouldn’t know that if you go to Abuja to meet the President without invitation, you may be redirected to meet with a minister, and even going to meet with the minister, you may still be redirected to meet with their PA depending on what you’re meeting them for.

Obi narrates that Abacha was so fed up with the inefficiency that he appointed him to lead a task on port decongestion hence, Obi’s reference to being “chairman.”

WHAT HE MEANT BY CHAIRMAN

Obi was not officially appointed as:

Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)

Chairman of Tin Can Island Port Authority (which does not have its own separate governing board)


Rather, he chaired a temporary taskforce/committee specifically focused on resolving port congestion issues at Tin Can. That’s what he meant by “Chairman” not a formal, gazetted, long-term government appointment.

This is why official NPA records do not list him among the agency's leadership or chairmen.


Make use of this information and spot the hypocrisy of the propagandists.

Actually, they made their complain to Walli Ahmed the then Head of NPA. It was Walli that asked them to make suggestions on how best to de-congest the ports. They submitted their suggestion to Walli Ahmed and not to Abacha. In fact, the complain and report never reached Aso Rock bc it will be like backstabbing Walli Ahmed.

Ahmed handled the whole thing himself and Abacha was never aware of the complaint nor the report.



The thing is when these APC media lying team are churning out their false lies against Obi, we in the know always smile and let them be, knowing fully well that Obi will answer their lies at the most unexpected time. And when he does answer them, it makes them look like the unintelligent *f00ls they really are.

But it was Obi himself who narrated this story of meeting Abacha not APC. He said Abacha banged the table and said this young boy you are now the chairman.

Learn to ignore anyone who brings up these names in conversations about the Super Falcons (Onyenezide, Ajakaye, Sebastian). They are not to be taken seriously. I can assure you they haven't seen th se folks play football in the last 1 year. Imagine suggesting Deborah Abiodun be replaced with Esther? These are not serious takes and they should be treated as such by ignoring.

Well, I have watched all of them play and my proposal is on how to make that midfield click. We don’t have that all out creative midfielder we could substitute for Payne in some games. Echiegini is good but the coach hasn’t figured out how to use her properly together with Payne (or even without her).

We need someone who can connect properly with the defensive midfielders: Ucheibe/ Ayinde in connecting with the attack.

You are of course free to disagree with that which is fine.

I think this current coach still doesn’t know how well to utilize Onyi Echiegini especially when the team is under pressure and not getting lots of possession. Onyi can get easily pocketed in those situations and it would be left to the coach to switch his tactics.

Their game here against Botswana has been pure dominance. I’m pleasantly surprised because Botswana got to the quarterfinals the last time.

Their no 11 with hijab is a good player.

Horrible passes all day long since she entered the field. I mean, not a single good pass ! Kept turning the ball over.

Worst performance I have seen from her.

Definitely Abiodun in my opinion. Ucheibe and Ayinde already offers that defensive midfield cover and they are more mature in their tackles than Abiodun. Esther Oyenezide knows how to keep possession and keep the attack going from the midfield. Her only weakness is that she always wants to shoot even from distance which can be managed by the coach.

This game needed an Esther Oyenezide in midfield.

She did better than Ikpeba to be honest. I think it’s anxiety though because Oparanozie doesn’t make those mistakes on her channel.

I think a combination of Ucheibe and Ayinde always gives our midfield stability.

The bitter truth is this the only match Senegal will win. This team can't beat Zambia or Morocco.

I agree. Both of these teams leave too much space in their positioning at this level which would be exploited by good teams. The Morocco and Zambia I watched yesterday would be leaking their lips now.

Both of these teams are good going forward but have leaky defence especially the DrCongo.
