Writing general blog articles tend to be one of the simplest forms of writing. But it's unfortunate that many writers still come out woeful with their write-ups. You and I will agree that virtually no one makes primary research to write blog articles. We most times write from other people's articles. But it's pathetic what many writers come up with. I've seen writers who just rewrite from a single article. It's worse when the source article went off track. And they just rewrite in like manner. I've seen writers with error-filled articles. I used to be like this a year ago. *covers face* How to write a good blog post Understand the topic and purpose of the article. You have no business with writing on a topic until you've perfectly understood it. Understanding the purpose of the article will let you know where the article is heading and what it hopes to address or achieve. Generate ideas on the topic. This requires some level of intelligence on the part of the writer. Idea generation shapes the entire article. It helps you to know useful materials you can source from and those you can't. Writers who have poor idea-generating skills just write from one article that shares the same topic with the topic they're working on. Use at least 3 to 4 articles. There are times you might even need an article on every point you're listing in your work. Let's say you're writing on "10 Ways To Win In Business," you could generate 10 ideas on your own or through different articles. And still, need about 7 articles to cover the 10 points. Write simply. The goal is to communicate, not to leave readers confused. Flow from one paragraph to another. A point that should be the first shouldn't be coming last. Watch for typographical and grammatical errors. Using Grammarly or other "error-correcting" helps. Try proofreading. Most times, it's not easy doing this after you've done a good job. But it's always worth it. Take adequate time to write. Some jobs will take you little time, others will drain you. Make sure the time your client gives you is enough. Else, you'll be rushing over many things and coming out poorly. ******* Considering the Nigeria writing marketplace where most clients want to pay ₦5/word or less, the pay doesn't justify the work. There are times I spend days just to understand the topic and come up with ideas to write a good article. In your best interest, don't fix a rate. Get the job first and charge depending on how hard you envisage it will cost you. If you need further explanation on writing or getting writing jobs, message me. My contact is below. |
“If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” …Mother Teresa MOTHER TERESA (1910 – 1997) If we are asked to qualify people with just a word, then the word that qualifies Mother Teresa is love. She was love personified and exemplified. She didn't just believe in it, she lived it and preached it. It wasn't for the glams. It wasn't for a position. It wasn't for any selfish or ulterior motives. It was basically for humanity. She gave her all. So much so that a reader objected to the several illnesses which caused her death that she didn't die of heart failure but she, at last, gave her heart away. Early Life Mother Teresa was born on the 26th of August 1910. She was born in Skopje which is currently the capital of North Macedonia, to a family of Albanian descent. She was christened Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, being of Albanian descent. She was Nikollë and Dranafile Bojaxhiu’s last child. Her family was devoted to the catholic. Nikollë was involved deeply in the activities of their local church. He was a businessman and was also involved in the politics of the Albanian community before his death in 1919, while Anjezë was still 8 years old. Anjezë lived in her birthplace Skopje until she was 18 years old. Growing up, Anjezë was always fascinated by the stories of missionaries and their lives and works in Bengal. She decided she would commit to religious life while she was 12. And her resolve became stronger when she was 18. She moved to Ireland and later to India. She would later live most years of her life in India, as she became a citizen of India. She finally left home at 18 for the Loreto Abbey at Rathfarnham, Ireland to join the Sisters of Loreto. She would not get to see her family again as she continued on her missionary journey. It was in Ireland that she learned English as part of her missionary journey since English was the instructional language of the Sisters of Loreto in India. She was sent to India in 1929 where she started her novitiate in Darjeeling. There, she learned Bengali and taught at St Mary's high school for girls. The school was founded for educating girls from the poorest families in Bengali; and was run by her convent, the Loreto Sisters. And in 1931, she took her first religious vows. She wanted to be named Thérèse De Lisieux, who is the patron saint of missionaries. But she opted for the Spanish spelling of the name because another nun from her convent had chosen the name. Hence, the birth of the name, Teresa. In 1937, Teresa took her solemn vows which led to taking on the title "Mother" as part of the customs of the Loreto nuns. She continued to teach at the Loreto convent school in Entally, eastern Calcutta. She remained there in service for about twenty years. Mother Teresa carried on her teaching and missionary journey in love and devotion to the church and humanity. She was both committed to educating her students and helping poor families in Bengal. “A Call Within A Call” Mother Teresa had an experience that she would personally describe as a call within a call. This was when she was traveling from Calcutta to Loreto Convent in Darjeeling for her annual retreat. While she was on the train en route to Darjeeling, Christ spoke to her and gave her an order of servitude to humanity. She was ordered to leave her teaching job to go to the slums of Calcutta to help the poorest and sickest people of the city. After the much-needed lobbying of about a year and a half, Mother Teresa was granted permission to leave the convent to pursue her second calling. This was because she couldn't leave the Convent without official permission as she had sworn a vow of obedience to the Convent. She left the Loreto convent in August of 1948. She moved into the city where she had basic medical training at the Holy Family Hospital for six months in Patna. After her training at the hospital, she moved into the slums of Calcutta for the first time. Her goal for moving to the slums was simply to help and assist the " unloved, uncared for, and the unwanted" people. Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa quickly began her missionaries of charity as she had been mandated. She founded an open-air school in Motijhil, Kolkata to educate the poorest of the poor in Calcutta. She later built a home in an already dilapidated house to care for the dying and extremely poor. She was able to convince the government of the city in Calcutta to donate to support the cause. She also received support from a group of young women who were mostly teachers and students from St Mary's School. This led to her receiving canonical recognition in 1950 for her new congregation, the Missionaries of Charity to start. Her missionary movement continued in India and as it waxed stronger, she gained attention from around the country and abroad. She received donations from India and different parts of the world which led her to further expand her charitable activities. She went on to establish an orphanage, a leper colony, a family clinic, a nursing home, and mobile clinics throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Mother Teresa – The Most Powerful Woman In The World Mother Teresa fondly said she was Albanian by blood, Indian by citizenship, and a Catholic nun by faith. She would also add that as for her calling, she belongs to the world, and as for her heart, she belongs completely to the heart of Jesus. Pope Paul VI honored the Missionaries of Charity with the Decree of Praise in February 1965. This prompted Mother Teresa to further her international expansion. Mother Teresa received several awards and recognition globally. Highly notable among them are: being awarded the highest honor that a civilian can get in India – “the Jewel of India;” and a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, recognition for her work in helping the suffering humanity. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, later went to New York City to establish her first US-based house of charity. In the summer of 1982, Mother Teresa secretly left for Beirut, Lebanon. Her journey to Beirut was to offer help to children of both Christian East Beirut and Muslim West Beirut who were trapped in the siege of the First Lebanon War. She evacuated scores of physically challenged children. And returned to New York. In 1985, she spoke at the United Nations General Assembly's 40th anniversary in New York. In the introduction of Secretary-General Pérez de Cuéllar, he introduced Mother Teresa as the most powerful woman in the world. He said she was the United Nations, peace in this world. Mother Teresa's address was titled “One Strong Resolution: I Will Love.” In 1999, after her demise, she ranked #1 in Gallup's List of Most Widely Admired People of the 20th Century. The Starfishes There's this popular story of a storm that raged an ocean and swept tens of thousands of starfish to the beach. A boy began picking the fishes that were still alive back into the water. Some people wondered and told him how effortless his endeavor will be when there would still be tens of thousands of fish left ashore or dead at the end of the day. The boy told them he might not be able to save the world of the starfish but for every starfish he saves, he saved its world. Mother Teresa tends to have lived on a principle like this. She might not have been able to save the world but she saved the “worlds” of people before she breathed her last in 1997, as she finally gave her heart away as someone opined. At her departure, the Missionaries of Charity had about 4,000 sisters, with thousands of other volunteers. The Missionaries of Charity had already established 610 foundations and 450 centers in up to 123 countries globally. In 2016, she was named Saint Teresa of Calcutta in the order of the Catholic Church. Note: Well articulated articles like this one up there are what you enjoy when I write for your blog. Today, when I see many people defend the bishop, I just shake my head because I know they don't know about his foundation. If they do, they will run far. I'm intentionally not putting any name here but you know who I'm talking about. We used to live very close to his church. His church was two streets away from my house. We'll go very early in the morning and attend a service. Within few hours, we will be back at home. My mum started encouraging her nephews and nieces to stand the church. Some of them are seeing this and can attest that they traveled to attend services every week in Winners. I can remember at a time during midweek services, we (my siblings and I) would be made to sell handkerchiefs as we were always told to bring white handkerchiefs for those services. And at times, we sold Olive oils too. Things were moving fine for us. Until suddenly, mum said we won't be attending Winners again. At first, we were too young to understand why. But later we did. We were going to be moving from the neighborhood to a far place. And it won't be convenient for mum and the four of us then (before our last born was born) to be coming down to attend Winners again. So that's how we stopped attending Winners. ![]() Oh! What were you thinking of? That he buried 7 cows or what? Abeg carry your beef with the bishop go elsewhere jare. When I write for you, twists like this is what you enjoy . My contact is in the signature. Chat me up, let's talk business. |
There was a time I came 1st position in class in primary school. I didn't know how it happened. All I can remember is my parents were very happy that they threw a party for me. I attended one of the best primary schools in the neighborhood. Bamakaa international school, Alimosho. Those who live around Iyana-Ipaja and Alimosho axis should know the school. I was in primary three then. We were twenty five in class and I had always happened between fifteenth and twentieth position. Our school usually has our report cards posted home directly to our parents. When my mum who received it at that term opened and I was first, she was overjoyed. It was around my tenth birthday, April 28. I still remember it was a second-term result. My parents decided to throw a birthday party for me. I instantly became the envy of the compound and some few houses around. My brother, Binbol Wilson was pretty envious too. My birthday fell on Saturday, and school was to resume the third term the next Monday. Our result cards were normally returned to school before resumption. That morning, while we were preparing for the party, around 11 am, my class teacher came... She apologized and begged my parents, that there was a mistake on my result sheet. She had omitted "2" on my position. I came 21st, not 1st. Fada Lawd, kúkú keeee me This and many more are what you enjoy when I write for you. Phone number is in the signature below. IBEDC has gone crazy. It's over a week that they've had network issues and they've not resolved it. I can't load my prepaid meter. I've been without light for weeks. And a business company can't rectify payment issues for weeks. Shame on IBEDC. |

I remember vividly, we had met on July 1st, on my sister's birthday. I uploaded her picture to wish her a happy birthday and she fell in love with her beauty. Later I told her I'm a guy and the lady is my sister. Since I was single and searching then, I followed up. She's a student of MAPOLY in Abeokuta, doing her ND in accounting. I live in Abeokuta, so meeting her will be a walkover. And being an ND student, her mouth no go wide like that. We had kept contact and related well until 'bae agreed to marry me.' Ever since then, she's been the one wanting us to meet. Finally I succumb to her desire, we agreed to meet this afternoon at Chicken Republic at Oke-ilewo, 4pm. I arrived on time for two main reasons: I love keeping to time and I wanted to do my assessment. When I got there, I gave a call and told her I was on my way, she said she was on her way too, I asked for what she was putting on, and she described fully. I entered and sat where I could get a firsthand view of anyone coming in. At exactly 4.22pm, she alighted from a bike, with 3 other friends. In my mind, I was like 'moku, mogbe, modaran,' how much I carry come here? She called to tell me she was there, I just described one guy sitted on his own. She and her friends entered and joined the guy. I walked out and heaved a heavy sigh of relieve. 0-8-0-6-7-5-4-1-0-9-8 WhatsApp. I write on anything and everything. |

There was this time when I was still in school and I was living with a friend. We had two hotplates (electric cooking stove). My friend had one and I had one. It wasn't these usual hotplates that do get spoilt every 3 days. We used better ones. Then one day, my landlord's wife came to borrow our hot plate. But because we needed to make a meal, we brought out the other. That was how mama said, "oh, it's even two you guys have." She used it and returned it sha. Before we knew it, mama has come back to borrow the next day. But instead of using and returning immediately, she will leave it in her kitchen for days. Until we ask for it. We started getting pissed by her attitude regarding using the hotplate. Not that we couldn't even leave one for her but it was the bigger, hotter, and better one, that's why it was the main one we were using too. My friend suggested we take the hot plate and put it in our room. I told him she will start having grudges with us. He said he doesn't care. I told him there are other and better ways to deal with people. It was this time Muslims were having Ramadan and my landlord's wife would have come to take the hotplate from our kitchen early in the morning if it wasn't with her. So that morning, before she came. I went to the kitchen, removed the hotplate's fuse, and went back inside. I waited some minutes and I heard mama's footsteps. She went and carried it as usual. And after some minutes, she tiptoed to return. She used it with our kitchen's electric socket, to be sure it's not that her kitchen's electric socket is faulty, but the thing no still work. She quietly left it and left there. Good business, well done, I told myself. That was how mama didn't come for our hotplate again o. We sef just took it inside and use it from our room. And we averted 3rd World War and lived happily ever after. What does the Bible say about wisdom again? It is profitable to direct. I write on anything. 0-8-0-6-7-5-4-1-0-9-8 |

He shot his only child at Ojota Lagos Rally. Inspector Lai is one of the most devoted members of the Nigeria Police Force. He's been in service for 11 years. He's a police officer who takes his duty serious. He tries his best to defend the nation and citizens which is his primary assignment. And he carries out orders from his superiors as expected of him. He knows the state of the nation is bad and worrisome but his hands are tied. What can an ordinary inspector do than to follow orders? He sees the agitations rising up from different fractions and he knows these agitations are true but what can he do? His life is tied. Tied by the police force and nation at large. During EndSARS saga in October 2020, he saw citizens massacred by miscreants and his colleagues, he felt some empathy. He saw some of his colleagues too die at the hands of miscreants. But they're force men, they obey orders. Agitators are rallying people across their states, motivating people for self determination. Here is Inspector Lai, he must follow orders. In preparation against the Lagos Rally, Odumosu, the Lagos state CP called in his banners and gave them the task, the rally must be truncated. Area Commander Mohammed called his bannermen and passed down Odumosu's command. Inspector Lai in his Ojuelegba station was drafted as one of the foot soldiers to carry out Odumosu's charge. On the day before the rally, Lai called his only child Femi and told him what Mohammed had instructed them. Warned Femi not to go out of the house, not to talk of going to Ojota. Told Femi's mum to keep him close. He went to the point of meeting with his colleagues. Femi even saw how his dad and others were arranged and started the preparation at Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota on social media. Ready to do Odumosu's bidding. Morning came and Ojota was calm. Who wan die? Sanwo to Odu, Odu to Moha, Moha to X and others, X to Lai and co... Lai and co must carry out orders. Femi's friends lured him through WhatsApp to let them go out. He told his mum he was just going to get something around. And before he knew it, they were on Ikorodu road. As a guy na, he loved it too. By God's grace, nothing will happen to them. The crowd started building...Yoruba nation, NOW... Chanting. The policemen on ground began opposing them. First, they used water. Sooner, they ran out of that. Next, they used teargas but people brought kerosene this time and applied it on handkerchiefs to neutralize the effect. Then they resolved to rubber bullets. Still, the people's determination was firm. Sooner, the policemen began shooting in the air. Lai shot in the air like his colleagues. While he was moving without looking at his front, he tripped and there was an accidental discharge. At fate would have it, Femi was hit. Femi fell and people around rushed him. Thank God, he's alive. Even though he was hit by the side. He was rushed to Àjàyí Crowther Memorial hospital where he was attended to first. Then referred to General Hospital in Ikeja. He was operated on but there was an issue and he was referred to another professional private hospital... Femi's kidney was hit. The kidney was removed. Thank goodness, we can live on one kidney. But alas, Femi already had issues with his second kidney and was surviving on the shot one. Now, Femi needs a donor and money for surgery in India. Lai already resigned. Regretted his involvement in the draft. Good for him, he didn't know he was the one who shot his son. He will beat himself to death or Femi's mum would have "snipered" him in his sleep. Fiction. I write. Contact in the comment.

I saw my ex yesterday. It was really surprising because she lives in Lagos. I didn't know what brought her to Abeokuta. I was at Lafenwa trying to get something when I heard her voice, asking for direction from a taxi driver. Mehn, I've got a keen mind. It's 6 years we saw last and I could still remember her voice in a totally unexpected environment. I just greeted her and left. No time for acting anything. What I even want to talk about is the shirt she wore. This same shirt I bought her in 2014 as birthday gift. She told me she doesn't like the shirt then, and said it's inferior. So, 7 years after, you're still wearing it. So, your husband that you left me to go and marry cannot even change your wardrobe since 2015... Bola, Bola, Bola, my god has george you. 08067541098 (If you need a writer) |
There's no other way to say this than the blunt way. Any outsourcer offering below ₦2 per word is ridiculous and disrespectful. With the current rate of hike in prices of commodities in Nigeria, employers should be thinking of how to step up their pay rate. Writing is not a side hustle. It's a full time job. No matter how flexible it is for some freelancers, it doesn't mean they don't expend worthy and quality time to come up with good jobs. We deserve pay rate in commensurate with jobs well done. Writers, up your game, no one will up it for you. If some of these outsourcers know it's no business of one one naira any longer, they will adjust. Thank you. |
Ignyte:I rejected an offer of ₦2/word recently. Because I already have someone paying that amount. And the person provides Copyscape and Grammarly. So I can't take another at that rate. I seek a better rate. |
Ignyte:₦7 per product. Very laughable. Until I started earning money through writing, I never knew it's very tough. If you get a common 25kobo increase in pay per word, for 10000 words book you write, that's a pay raise of ₦2500. You won't know the significance of these payment plans until you start getting paid through them. |
