As an iOS developer myself, I recommend you get at least an M1 pro.
Reasons are as follows.
1. Xcode latest build tools and simulators requires latest OS and chipset to work.
2. Framework and dependencies are usually updated dynamically, if you work with a team and you use an old macbook, you will not be able to run the codebase, because most likely your machine would not be able install these dependencies
3. Long build time, especially for large projects. You would spend a long time trying to compile your code if you use an old macbook

E plenty sha. Buying anything lower than an M1 would be a waste of money

I use Starlink, if you can afford the monthly subscription, then I highly recommend you use Starlink. I watch Netflix, Prime and Showmax on my TV. I stream 4K content seamlessly on Netflix and Youtube. Everyone in my house is connected and I even share my Wifi password with two of my neighbors.

Yes brother, it is possible. I am in tech myself though I just clocked 30. Nobody asks you how young or old you are. Also, rarely do they ask for academic qualifications. What they mostly interested in is your skill, and how good you are with your skills.
