loveshowgirl1: I am a DV 2013 lottery winner. I have recently done my medicals and waiting for my interview which is not till 21st of March. The question i want to ask the house is, during my application for the DV2013 lottery, I was SINGLE, i got engaged March 14th and did my introduction March 15th which was way before the results came out in May. While i filled my forms to KCC i was still SINGLE but engaged and i had filled in SINGLE, but in December/January i got married. During my medicals, i had to fill in married as status in one of the forms since am now married. Right now am not so sure as to what to say when i go for my interview, if i should simply say am married with all proofs or i should maintain my being SINGLE, but right now am wearing my wedding band. What should i do house, any and all advice would be appreciated.............My interview date is 21st so the earlier i hear from you guys the better for me. Thanks

Update KCC immediately if you haven't done so. Send it via mail and ensure you get an acknowledged copy. Go with your husband. Be sure you do an elaborate wedding ceremony.

paa11: With the USCIS Fee, is it those whose visa was issued b/4 1st February that will pay or those who enter into USA after 1st February that will pay. I ask because my visa was issued on 30th January 2013 but i will leave for Chicago on 19th April.

You are exempted if issued 30th January. Mine was issued 31st January. I am paying nothing.

You mentioned discriminatory treatment, please can you be a bit precise on the exact treatment we ar likely to encounter in other to prepare our mind.
And how exactly where u approached by the gay people.

You will be singled out by customs for in-depth search. While others are allowed free access, you will be taken off the queue for a special attention. They will search you to your undies. This is my expetience at LAX airport. I cant tell if it's the same elsewhere. Pray you don't get searched by a gay. I leave the rest to your imaginations.

When you arrive here, you won't think of Nigeria again. There's more than enough to eat and drink. My light hasn't blinked. Internet access is unlimited. Cable TV works round the clock. Fun everywhere you go. But the cold here is killing. I am padded with 5 clothing of which three are thick sweaters. I lost appetite for food. Please everyone hurry up and join the rest of us here.

I left my phone @ home that why I have not spoken since.

My Visa was approve.

I got to the embassy @ 6:15am.. I waited till 9:45am before I was called in. Collected the payment slip, when thru the security and straight to the hall where interview is being conducted. I paid payment, submitted mine document. And I was waiting for my number to be call. I meet couple of guys.. We just started chatting like as if we have know each other for long time. With great believe that our visa has being approved. Suddenly my number beep @ counter 13 about 12 :15pm.

Me: Good afternoon Sir.
Co: Good afternoon and how are u doing.
Me: fine and u.
Co: Raise up ur hand...bla bla bla.
Me: yes I do.. Finger print.
Co: Wat do U do.
Me: Schooling and working.
Co: What d name of sch
Me: lasu sch of part time.
Co: he ask about my work.
Me: I told him designation at work
Co: he ask full meaning of my designation.
Me : I told him.
Co: Hope u are finding it easy.
Me: yes and it cool.
Co: He asked that what d relationship btw the person I am going to stay with and I.
Me: family friend.
Co: where is ur parent.
Me: lagos.
Co: do u stay wit them.
Me: Yes.
Co: he asked about how many brother and sister I have.
Me: 3brothers and 1sister.
Co : just said congratulation.. And he gave me d white sheet. On how to pay d 165dollars.

The co was already tired.. We were just about 4 of us remaining.

This is Gentiger reporting live and direct from LOS ANGELES California. I arrived safely yesterday, 17:00 local time after about 20hrs flifgt and 6hrs layover at Istanbul.

It was a fun experience and i thank everyone who through prayers and goodwill messages made this happen. If you are coming through Los Angeles, i must prepare your mind on what to expect. I cant tell if it's the same thing everywhere else. On arrival, we were greeted by sniffing scoundrels. They had to ensure we were drugs free. We proceeded to the immigration post to have our documents and visa packets (sealed Envelope} processed. It took a while because we were about 6 of us. I issued them with a new address for the delivery of my green card. You can change the delivery address of your green card to anywhere of your choice within the US. It's not true, neither is it mandatory you must come in through the Port you specified in your form to KCC.

From the immigration post we were ushered to the customs for screening. They spent time processing us. Expect discriminatory treatment if you are an African male, Asian or Middle east. They will single you out for special attention. They did what must be done and formally welcomed us to America.

For those of you who already have your visas, hurry up and join us here. This country is a beautiful place. Nowhere in Nigeria can be compared to Los Angeles California. Those awaiting interview, i wish you success. You will surely testify. I will be back here to share my experience with gay people as a way of preparing your minds for what obtains here. Talk to you later.

on their interview day nor do she
want him to join them later & the
embassy want those listed on 2nd NL
to appear on interview. house, can
she & her husband appear on their
interview without this kid? please help
her.. she really needs your advices so badly and still waiting for me to give a solution but i cant give a solution without you guys opinions.

Since the child is not in his custody, he should explain to the CO the circumstances as he did with us. Like I said, I saw a family denied for failing to show up with every member of the family.

Am flying tomorrow. I have been eating all our local dishes because I don't know when next I will eat them. Onubu, nsala, ogbono, edikaikon, with poundy, fufu and wheat. I will miss Nigeria and all my lovely friends.

As of today, all the Co's for immigrant visa were male. I saw a lady and her husband denied because she had A1 in Hausa language but can't speak house. Another was denied because she came alone with the husband leaving the children behind for lack of funds. They claimed the children will join later.

ediofeboyz: @SPOONDAR is it easy 2change de POE like dat coz i thought that address on DS230 is where your GC will be mailed.

You can change your POE if you will. The immigration officers will always ask you if the current address is valid or if you wish to update them with a new one. If they by omission fail to ask, it's your right to draw it to their attention.

From experience here in this forum, we've seen real family that were unable to go through but he was lucky and moreso i heard about EU citizen from Dutch who migrated to UK for a sham wedding and was busted right in the process of taking a vow.
Alot of arangee wedding all in the name of Adjustment of Status happen in US/UK, and we've even seen our own kinsmen who marry a woman who is as old as his mum, all in the name of AOS.
Once again as a Junior TiGER, i apologise.

No my brother, it's not about senior or junior, rather it's about thump printing illegality and giving credence to it. By his actions, many married couples on this forum are in jeopardy. There could be heightened scrutiny and unnecessary Administrative Processing to verify marriage claims.

Pray hard to find a visa in your passports on collection day. You have just confessed to smuggling an alien smartly and fraudulently. Do you really think you are faceless in this forum? The baby isn't too small to procure a passport for. You must do so and proceed to write the embassy intimating them of the new addition to the family. Do not forget to quote your case number and full names. They will assess your records with emphasis on your wife's medical result submitted during the interview. Satisfied with your claims, they would invite you to approach. No further interview is conducted. The child's visa is issued without Any further questions.

All the steps you took aren't necessary. Your wife's medical test will capture her present state. If the baby arrives before you are current, then update kcc. If it arrives after your 2NL but before interview date, fill the necessary forms and go with the children to the embassy.
