And please, what were the refusal reasons, and how did you tackle it in your second application? Laladude: PPR!!! (2nd time applicant)
Application submitted - October 8th Medical passed - November 22th BVL/PPR - January 6th
Docs submitted: All IMM docs leave letter Updated LOA House Docs Family Pics SOP LOE POF Docs
Had an earlier rejection Sept ending and I applied about 7 days later. I used Spectro's format to arrange my docs. Also used his speed on second re-application as a point of contact and God did it. |

Thank you, Ketima. I appreciate your insight. Indeed, nothing is impossible with God. Ketima: VO's looks out for career or academic progression. Is just about trying to understand the relevance of the course to the applicant's academic/ professional future plan. So, as you have had masters before and going for another master, even though it isn't academic progression, but with a well-detailed explanation as to why such, it can still convince the VO. Just note that nothing is impossible with GOD and IRCC is also unpredictable. But could it have been easier had you not declared it entirely. |

Hello guys,
Please, what is the chance of visa refusal or approval for someone who already has a master's degree that is related to the one he intends to pursue? |

Please, can you also share refusal reasons based on purpose of visit. Thank you. Legacyedition: It's not right to guess what went wrong with applications without gcms note. Order your gcms note.
But since ircc had started using refusal templates. I can give you hint if it pertains to you. Let me share with you some refusal reasons based on personal assets and financial status.
1. I have reviewed the application. Taking the applicant's plan of studies into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available; but with lump sum deposits. Concerns that these funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and conditions imposed as a temporary resident. For the reasons above, I have refused this application.
2. "I have reviewed the application
Taking the applicant's plan of study into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available, but there are concerns that company funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that proposed studies would be a reasonable expense .
Prove of funds dad's personal savings account with $100,000 balance . Tuition for whole course is less than $30,000 . Case challenged in court and ircc request out of court settlement ."
3. This one is long, can't type it. It's about applicants family establishments. Landed properties not submitted, business invoices not submitted.
4. Provenance of funds, how the funds were accumulated. |

Legacyedition: Yes. You can try it out.
Just play with it.
You will see study permit there .
It transfers application details directly to Chinook software spreadsheet . Instead of transferring from gcms when imm forms are used. You will also get your application summary in PDF for your own record. Oh, okay. Thank you. |

I have been advised to submit my application via the paper route because it allows for the submission of more supporting documents.
Please, what is your view on this?
Is the application cost the same as online application?
I look forward to your response.

Did you include SoP in your application? Have you travelled outside Nigeria before, I mean to any of the advanced nations? Are you self-sponsored or sponsored by someone e.g. parents? Did you apply for a master's, PhD, PGD...?!? |

Obehi44: Well if it’s your first application, it will be necessary that you mention it in your SOP. But if not, you should shift all those explanations to the LOE. Note: it won’t be enough that you only mention it, it’s also important that you state it’s importance, how valuable it is to you that it will also aid your coming back to Naija. I wish you luck Thank you very much. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by GentleBobo: 8:08am On Feb 19, 2020 |
Obehi44: Okay this is what I think it’s right to do, 1. If your father is your sponsor, there is need submit the documents in his name. 2. If you are not a teenager and has been working, you should have a property of your own in your name. Your dad can give you a portion of his land or houses. “A gift of land” or “irrevocable gift of land” Mind you, properties does not only limit to empty land. It can be houses with income, it can be land that brings income(farm or anything), it can be his business, it can even be his very expensive car(with documents oh), etc So he will his own and you have your own both submitted ‘if’ you are of age or maybe 1st son or only son etc
Solve the maths yourself. Hello Obehi, Uwese Please, do you reckon that I have to highlight that I own a property in my SoP, or the documents of the property should suffice? What do you think? Thanks a lot. |
