some new people that log on might not have the patience to start from the first page thats why we keep getting questions like "umm..., i love the soap too,can anyone pls tell me where to get the whole story?" rolleyes
the last episode i watched was of berenice going to meet paloma in the office, i wished she just had an heart attack n died straight off! i dont know why she's so hung up on diego, after all shes in love with miguel.

God's ways are not our ways and we cannot question Him why bad things happen.
what will pastor adeboye gain by saying what God has not said?
as tammy said, prayers can change/avert some situations, now that God has sent His servant to tell us to pray, what have we to loose if we do prayhuh
for those that want to pray, let us pray earnestly and for those that won't we will pray for u wink
Poems For ReviewThis Thing Called Love by gentleone(op): 4:40pm On Jan 06, 2006
All Rivers Must Flow
All Cocks Must Crow
Frogs Too Must Croak
When Comes The Right Time
The Sun Too Must Rise
Only From The East

Snails Must Cyst
All At Their Right Time
All At A Set Season
Who Never Feels It?
Who Never Falls In Love?

The Rich Cannot Escape It
Neither Can The Poor Run Away From It
Even Kings And Presidents Feel It
The Man Of God Too Is Not Left Out

It Is Good, So Much Good
To Have It, To Feel It
It Is A Call From God

No Matter How Strong
No Matter How Spiritual
Your Heart Must Melt
One Moment, At A Right Moment
For Someone, At A Certain Time

You May Not Understand How It Happens
Why? You May Ponder And Wonder
But Never Wander For The Answer
For Its Natural And You Must Feel It!
This Thing Called Love!!!!!!!!!!

Poems For ReviewIf One Day........ by gentleone(op): 4:36pm On Jan 06, 2006
If one day u feel like crying…………….., call me
I don’t promise that I will make you laugh but I can cry with you

If one day you want to run away, don’t be afraid to call me,
I don’t promise to ask you to stop but I can run with you

If one day you don’t want to listen to anyone, call me
I promise to be there for you, I promise to be very quiet

But if one day you call and there is no answer,
come fast to see me, I might need you!

Poems For ReviewMiss Me But Let Me Go........ by gentleone(op): 4:30pm On Jan 06, 2006
this poem is dedicated to those who are mourning for a loved one.......

when i come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me
i want no rites in a gloom filled room
why cry for a soul set free
miss me but let me go

miss me a little but not too long
and not with a head bowed low
remember the love we once shared
miss me but let me go

for this is a journry that we must all take
and each must go alone
its all part of the masters plan
a step on the road to home
miss me but let me go

when you are lonely and sick of heart
go to friends we know
and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds
miss me but let me go!

@ kenflavour, i agree with you.
he could also sell bread or eggs as someone suggested earlier.
if he is a student and he's staying on campus then he has no problem, anything eatable always sells well.just stick on your door "bread, egg and cold water available here" and before you know it, you're making your money.
i used to sell little things like that also when i was in school just to keep up. i sold cold water(it was 1 naira then, pure water was not so popular),bread and i also sold nitel cards(100units).
BusinessRe: Which Nigerian Bank Do you Use and Why? by gentleone(f): 4:22pm On Dec 14, 2005
umm... i use first bank ooo. their service and everything is poor but at least i know my small change is still safe with them.
from the gateman to customer service to the the tellers! they all are rude and actually feel they are doing you a favour by attending to you.
they are better now sha than the first bank of those days but there's still room for improvement, they just need new blood in their system thats all.

i tried to open an account with gtb and they gave me an outrageous amount to open an account so i just walked.

i use stb too and its no better

i use ecobank as well, efficient and very good customer service.
Christianity EtcRe: What is Christmas? by gentleone(f): 10:19am On Dec 13, 2005
Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
I got this from a friend and will like to share it with you all,

Beloved,
I cannot afford not to send this letter, which was forwarded to me last week by a son of the cross. I have therefore shelved this week’s original edition for this lovely letter as directed by the Spirit of the Most High. It is simply called “A letter from Jesus.” Read and be blessed.

“As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is
a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be
repeated.

During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many
radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone
is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer.

It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some people think
of me. As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago.
At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for
them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the
celebration.

Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know
the meaning of the celebration. I remember that last
year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of
delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and
chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many
beautifully wrapped gifts.

But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited.

I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation.

The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they
closed the door in my face .. and I wanted to be
with them and share their table.

In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close
their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to
enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner.

They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and
laughing at everything. They were having a grand time.

To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white
beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the
sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Claus, Santa Claus" as
if the party were in his honor!

At midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended my arms
waiting for someone to hug me and do you know no-one hugged me.

Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with
great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if, maybe,
there was one for me. What would you feel if on your birthday everybody
shared gifts and you did not get one?

I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.

Every year it gets worse. People only remember the gifts, the parties, to
eat and drink, and nobody remembers me.

I would like this Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life.

I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago
I came to this world to give my life for you, on the
cross, to save you.

Today, I only want that you believe this with all your heart.

I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party,
I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party
that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party. I'm still making the
final arrangements..

Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you.
I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you
and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book.

Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who don't answer the invitation, will be left outside. Be prepared because
when all is ready you will be part of my great party.

See you soon. I Love you!
Jesus”
Beloved, have you invited Jesus into your life and into your home? He is still waiting patiently for you as you prepare for another Christmas in celebration of His Birthday. If you do, then you shall also be part of the Heavenly Feast that He is preparing for all of us. Blessings of His grace in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Merry Christmas!

Prayer For Hope

God, we have not lost faith in you.
We suffered a great tragedy
in the Nigeria on Sunday, December 11, 2005,
a crime against all humanity,
and we know that this attack
could never have been
wrought by your loving hand.
And we are saddened that such
hate and anger lives in
the hearts of men.
Now, more than ever,
we depend on your wisdom,
and we hope for peace to rain.
We look to you for guidance
during this difficult time,
and ask that you ease
the suffering of every soul
that was touched
by the tragedy.
Please continue to give
us the strength and tenacity
to get through this distaster
Send your angels to calm
and comfort those
who lost someone they love,
and keep those who perished
safe in your keeping.
Reserve a special place in heaven
for every heroic soul
who lost their life
while trying to save others,
and send your love and healing power
to every person who was wounded.
But most of all, God,
keep the spark of hope
for better days to come
alive in every heart.

Amen.
Amen cry cry cry
Christianity EtcThe King is Coming! by gentleone(op): 8:24am On Dec 12, 2005
When the King comes, it will be a time of mixed reaction for the people He meets. Happy for those that are adequately prepared, sad for those that are either unprepared or ill prepared.
Luke 19:12-27
In preparing to meet the King, we must live every day as though it were the last yet have extra oil in our lamps in case He tarries. Our hearts must be fixed and focused of being qualified when the King comes. Our hearts must be grounded, firm, deep, unchangeable, unmovable and always abounding till the appearance of the King .
The King came for some people on saturday, He might come for you anytime, where will he meet you?
Be prepared!

join me in a moment of prayer for Nigeria,

Father in heaven, I bless Your holy name for who You are, I know that You are with us always and I come before you with a heart of thanksgiving this morning, accept our thanks in Jesus name. Father, I lift up my country Nigeria before You this morning and I say Lord, have mercy. have mercy upon us as a nation,as a people and as individuals. Heal our land oh Lord of every form of wickedness and filth and turn our hearts back to You again. Deliver us Oh Lord from every form of affliction, e dawo ibinu yin duro baba!(put a stop to Your wrath oh Lord). turn again our captivity oh Lord and cause us to rejoice again in Your presence. Thank You Lord for in Jesus name I have prayed.
