Who remembered the last time we played mls all stars
Those ones were equipped with good players like pirlo, kaka, villa etc
Wengay played youngsters from academy, I was hoping to see duberry because I stayed late cos of him
Nketiah have no business in that position because nothing happened there
How will you know their strength and weakness if you don't play them
Normally at this stage arteta should have 1 or 2 of these guys in our squad playing some minutes until we lose another prospect

I don't think mertasacker is still in arsenal?
na true can't remember the last time I heard or saw him, mertasacker.

Arteta on Havertz: "He gives us something different. his height for example where he can be a target man if we need to beat the press. He’s playing at CAM for now but I’m sure throughout the season he’ll be used in different positions."

(Kaya Kaynak).

At this point, can y'all put just a little respect to spy's name grin
First half wasn't what I expected, especially considering the starting xl. So I slept off midway into it.

Good morning to y'all.

I believe the squad is OK but Folarin Balogun shouldn't be sold but should be given more playing time ahead of Nketiah though especially now that Gabriel Jesus is injured in training
one thing I love about Arsenal current players is the fact that they will happily play any position that they have tried out before in their career just to help the team. So I wouldn't be surprised if G.jesus plays in the wing and make space for Nketiah or Balogun up front. Balogun is more CF than Nketiah if you ask me shaa. So yeah I think in the same direction as you.

Also, while not emergent, I worry about our backup GK situation. There is a significant drop in quality if anything happens to Ramsdale. Neither Turner nor Hein inspires confidence in-between the sticks.
I saw Martinez develop into a monster, I believe with time turner will too. Remember when he first played, his first, second and probably third matches were shit but then he grew into the team. I believe he can still develop more, no be stop and clear he been de do before, now he don de calm down play ball more.

I've always maintained my stand. We need a Saka Left footed deputy. I don't trust any right footer on that wing, I certainly don't trust Marquinhos as well as Havertz.

Is Duberry a left footed player and will he be a deputy. Maybe I would love if he can be given the opportunity.

But If we get a Kudus this season, then I'll Judge our transfer window 10/10
Marquinhos is a no no for me, still needs loan deal or better still u21 play time. Duberry is left footed and a better baller and if given play time can develop rapidly cus he has the composure and agility for EPL. And I truely have not given up on Nelson, Nketiah can still operate from the right wings too.

Going into the summer, I said we needed to transition White back to the CB to offer depth and competition and get another RB to compete with Tomi and we have done that. Also, as long as we don’t lose Tierney we should be in great shape defensively.

I thought we should improve our midfield without losing Partey and that seems to be the case. I mean another midfielder won’t hurt but we look like we have the numbers.

The last is getting a pure CF that offer is a different style of attacking our opponents. This is the one area I hope we can address before the start of the season. Nketiah got significant playing time and opportunities but I don’t think he is the guy…no be to demand number 14 jersey!!

Balogun looks the part but I don’t think he wants to sit on the bench for even Jesus. If you ask me, it would be the CF position.
Among our forwards I think Balogun looks like the most likely to leave. And Tierney needs to stay, I don't think there is any other better LB in the market if we let him go.

Lol, Blue.mann is the least person you can accuse of bad belle though.

But that's not even the issue here. The big issue is that Havertz couldn't find the back of the net after so many attempts in the cross and volley challenge. Omorr, if you've watched any clip or video on that, it's very very ridiculous to think that Havertz couldn't find the net at least once with any of his attempts. I believe even you would hit a target if given that (na wetin most of us dey even do for street ball) how much more a professional like Havertz. Except Havertz was just joking with that play, if not, if he was serious, mehn that's really really concerning I won't lie embarassed
to be honest I haven't seen any of the clips and my comment was just to help minimize the jabs from others who might have wanted to drag on that here. I no go talk for Kai matter untill I watch him dis morning, that is if he plays.

Are you serious abi na just arsenal's fans hype?

I've been hearing how Sancho have been destroying academy youth teams since his Man city days(him and B.Diaz). I'm not sure I heard Nelson name with same weight oo except as just one of the budding young arsenal youngsters coming through
personally I think nelson get better ball sense than Sancho, Sancho was opportune to get enough play time and exposure with the Dortmund team and deep down y'all know you can't compare German league to EPL, but then nelson once had a spell there too but na injury kill am. That boy na baller, he just need coach and follow players confidence and enough game time with less injury to move mountains.

Ps= this is my personal opinion.

No offense to arteta but if he remains our manager for a long time our academy will die
one of the reasons arteta got the arsenal job was because he proposed a plan that involved including academy players and building with youth, so if he continues next season without giving the young guns the opportunity they need then even the management would certainly put a call to him.

Did u follow the conversation from the onset?

If u follow some of the discussions we had in the past particularly whites first season, I'm one of the few guys here who defended White's addition to the team. At the height of the "defence vs Attack wins u league" discussion, I'm one of the few guys who always pointed it out that addition of Gabriel And White to the team was a step in the right direction by the club management .

So u see, I'm the last person that will use the word "bad" to refer to white. If u noticed all I said was that he's average ( and this is in relation to Saliba). I never said he's bad.

The discussion I was having with mos is that Saliba is one of the unbenchable players in our team which he does not only disagree with, but also made the unpardonable error of saying White would step into his shoes while other Players can't step into the shoes of Saka, Ramsdale and Gabriel. I no gree with that one.
I think I understand better now, thanks. Well saliba gave us what we can only dream of with white at RCB no doubt about that but thank God u know white could have been a better replacement ahead of both kiwior and holding if tomiyasu was around to cover the RB position

This same white? Humour me bro
in the shot u digged up, mos.. wasn't talking about white alone but rammy too, now uncle raydick do you think rammy was average too in his first season?. White wasn't as bad as you guys are trying to paint him during his first season , yes his first two matches was shiit, especially his first match but then so was the whole team. Arsenal fans didn't like the signing of both white and ramsdale even before the officially kicked a ball as arsenal players just because of their ex clubs and also money involved in their deals which many including I myself thought was too high for them. He came under heavy attacks both from pundits and fans during his early days but gradually grew into the team. I remember going from "nawah for dis Ben white" to "fine play there better baller" during his first season... But then what do I know......

Rice playing for West Ham made more interceptions, tackles, forward passes, forward ball carrying, and created more chances than Partey last season.

The only player that did better is Rodri. He is by no means a downgrade to Partey.
cool

I won’t even hide my fear, this midfield trio looks really really soft.

I had to go back and watch some clips of Rice and it’s looking like Rice is a downgrade to Partey if he’s going to be tasked to play Partey’s role. I fear all those teams wey dey like bully person for midfield like last season’s Newcastle
I don't think rice is soft but then what do I know. I don't support the sale of partey, he needs to be there for now even if it's just one season.
