Na even United States she bin dey. Wetin others wey dey Northern Europe or China go talk? Na so one girl from Botswana leave Japan in less than a year back to her country. When I asked why: she said she cannot cope. However, her Ghanaian friend still dey gidigba. West Africans and migration grin grin

She came to look for husband or baby girl lifestyle all this one na wash. Alot of 9ja babes abroad believe they should not be working and just be enjoying life.

A mother of two who moved from Canada to Nigeria recently and did a relocation video too. I saw her post on instablog last week. Just give this one time she go run back.
So the gender equality fight na scam las las? How many Nigerian men are financially comfortable to provide the baby girl lifestyle they want alongside the abroad standard of living?

As for the woman who moved to Nigeria, I'm not surprised she spends more in Nigeria than in Canada. It costs a lot to replicate a developed world standard of living in Nigeria. I'm not talking about roads or general behaviour, just normal amenities and having them to work 24/7.

This japada thing go give most people depression and annoyance.

Are you currently in Nigeria or perhaps even a typical Nigerian? Many people are finding it incredibly challenging to save even N50K over the course of a year, let alone N500K in just nine months. What may seem manageable for you can be a significant struggle for many average Nigerians today!!!
Then why have another child when there are two children on ground? Mind you, he's not childless or looking for his first child. He had TWO already.

Calm down.
I have been reading your comments and I agreed with you until this.

I have 3 children.
1st pregnancy was a single birth.. Vaginal delivery
2nd pregnancy..a set of twins.C/S
My husband and I are medical doctors.
I worked all through both pregnancies and saved up money for MY delivery.
I only started maternity leave 3 weeks before my EDD.
Men are naturally very selfish people.

A reasonable woman should not put her hope on a man.
If women know how much their husbands hate them for real, they will love themselves more.
Husband is just waiting for you to die so he can marry a new wife.

I actually logged in to reply to your comment about the commentary section on Dr Freeze post about the other case of a man who fled because his wife had triplets. Those men are thoroughly irresponsible. Men should even be the ones to resist having more children. Sometimes, I don't understand how some Nigerians think.

Truly, women especially modern day women, should be extremely careful who they allow to fertilise their eggs. My secondary school crush told me she declined the marriage proposal from a Canadian based man because he wanted four children. As the first daughter and child of her parents (four children), she knows how financially demanding it's to raise a family with too many children.

The reality is that most Nigerians should not have more than a child. That's the harsh truth.

The funny thing is that the programs like express entry, 3-year post graduate work permit and part way for international student to permanent resident were all introduced by the Conservatives the party against immigration. When many people say such, I asked them when they came to Canada. Before the start of express entry, it could take at least 4 years to process federal skill worker permanent resident visas from Nigeria. The Conservatives made some changes after winning election in 2006 before arriving at express entry. Nothing wrong with promoting climate change but not by make people poor.
cc: RodgersAkpafu

That's the summary of my stance regarding climate change. The economy MUST be prioritised over every other thing.

What are you even talking about Gerrard59?

First of all, it's the Conservatives govt under harper that really made EE a big hit

So this is not even applicable here
I'm saying it judging from the rants by Ndi liberal Nigerians on TwitterNG during the previous election. They said Nigerians who supported the Conservatives were coons who don't want other immigrants to enter Canada. Whereas as you have stated, the Conservatives initiated the EE program.

You should be questioning those Nigerians who believe every Nigerian in the abroad must support so-called liberal ideas.
FamilyRe: Your Background Can Determine How Far You Go In Life by Gerrard59(m): 5:21am On Apr 04, 2025
Gerrard59:
It is like compound interest. When the first family is established, invariably, successive generations would become more established and even wealthy. Na part of the reasons some African Americans say the success of Nigerian-Americans should not be used to judge the success of black people in the US because those Nigerians by virtue of going through the US immigration system, are the best and brightest from Nigeria. The same would play out in Canada compared to blacks who have been domiciled there for many generations.

It is usually hard for the first generation and maybe second. A lot of sacrifices and delayed gratification have to be made. One major way is to have few children instead of many children. That way, little resources can be managed for the benefit of everyone. Another is delayed gratification. The first generation should postpone some purchases and expenses so that their offsprings' education can be catered for properly. Education still remains the surest way to a middle class lifestyle in a country where things work and the economy is pretty good. Buhari and his cohorts have severely destroyed the Nigerian economy. Also, insecurity has rendered many people poorer than before.

In developed countries, especially those who got developed and prosperous within a short period of time, parents pay very close attention to their children's education and development. This applies to Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, China, South Korea etc. For instance, Chinese who migrated to the west during the '80s and '90s faced many challenges, but they persevered and were focused. Today, their children are reaping the fruits of their parents' labour and enjoying life. At the same time, it is very important for the first and second generations to discipline themselves not to be wayward. Again, these Asians know it so well, and very few are wayward compared to other races. Waywardness can destroy everything the previous generation built. To build is hard, to destroy is easy.

With the Internet comes easy access to information, however, this means greater and stiffer competition for scarce resources. People from less financially comfortable backgrounds should be properly and timely informed, plan their lives well and play delayed gratification. It is hard at first (nothing good comes easy), but it pays in the long run.
The surest way to prevent poverty in Nigeria is to have fewer children.

I don talk this thing tire, our people no wan hear word.

Why won't you take such serious?
Anything that distrups the economy is unacceptable to me. As a Nigerian, our country isn't responsible for the so-called global warming. We do read and hear that we will face the most severe consequences, fine by me as long as we use our natural energy resources to become wealthy. When we've as wealthy and industrialised as Malaysia before anyone can tell us about climate change. Even the Malaysian example is wrong as Malaysia still cuts forests to cultivate palm oil, process them and ship to Europe and India.

My focus has always been on the economy. Should the environment be protected? Yes. But not at the expense of the economy. So if a forest needs to be cut down to cultivate cash crops or build roads/highways, dams etc., fine by me. A country needs to utilise its energy resources in order to provide cheap energy to its people and industries.

In summary, the economy is paramount to me and nothing should affect it. Economy > Environment.

I'm voting Pierre Poilievre. He might have presented himself as a mini-canada version of Trump by his anti-woke, anti-media, anti-DEI rhetorics but this guy knows exactly what the problem is and he has always built his campaign around this manifesto that reflect the yearning of the people.
Poilievre has promised to repeal the impact assessment act and issue license for more minerals and energy exploration as well as approve new energy infrastructure including fast tracking the east coast pipeline corridor.
What Canada needs now is economic independence from America, we cannot continue to allow america determine our economic destiny. The only way to do this is open new economic opportunities for trade, something Liberals are very reluctant to do.

Even Mark Carney has embraced a lot of Poilievre's campaign promises including repealing the carbon tax and building new oil pipeline because he knows Poilievre is making common sense.
However, Mark Carney cannot be trusted, he's just another elite globalist, a mouth speak for large global financial institutions who will sacrifice Canada's future for some nonsense global agenda such as climate change or whatever. He will say anything to be PM but will pursue the globalist's agenda once in office.
If in doubt, check his resume. Carney was the former UN special envoy on climate action, and a strong proponent of achieving net-zero emissions. Himself and John kerry pioneered the glascow finance alliance for net zero initiative , and forced private corporations and world leaders to

We rather need big companies to bring their investments to Nigeria.
Companies like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Intel Corporation, Samsung Electronics, Toyota Motor Corporation, Volkswagen AG etc.
Enough for all these schools
If we're to get those companies to open facilities in Nigeria, we will actually need fewer British schools. In Malaysia where those companies have manufacturing facilities alongside their suppliers, parents send their children to Chinese run schools because they say it's math based. If you notice, none of those companies are headquartered in the UK.

Those Benue indigenes cannot do anything because their lands have been overrun by the Fulanis. So, you have Fulani settlements which abut Igbo land, and as a result, they move in as they like to create the same settlements they have in Benue. Give it five years, and they would have colonised those areas in Enugu.

The country marches on to islamisation. Unfortunately, nothing will stop it. Give it a decade or two.

Great Job.

Please continue to help spreading the Gospel. Japan Education is of the highest quality and most affordable compared to Europe, USA and Australia. Also all National Universities in Japan offer Graduate programs in English including the medical field. You don't need to sell your inheritance or fortune to get to Japan.

More grease to your elbow.
Yes, for those interested in quality education, access to world class labs and facilities, renowned professors in their fields; all of these come with low tuition fees compared to the likes of Australia, Canada or the UK. Even Central and Southern European countries don't come close as they charge foreign students way more than their citizens, aren't highly ranked as Japanese universities and have less than stellar facilities. Meanwhile, here, the tuition fees for national universities and even public universities are the same for both citizens and foreigners (due to be changed soon). Also, the visa process is straightforward and almost a guarantee once the Certificate of Eligibility has been delivered.

Nice
A lot of Nigerian youth still assume that academic success is automatically a path to success in life.
In some cases it is but not all the time.
Academic failure is also not an automatic path to failure in life. They assume that because they have a university degree, that means they should have the best of the world. That might have been true many decades ago but the world has changed. Billions of people have college degrees now hence it's of less importance now.
Pre-2015, that held major truths but in a world of Forex, crypto, social media influencing and the likes, it does not any longer. Nevertheless, for children from average homes, attaining a good grade can create a pathway to a comfortable lifestyle which is much more better than what they had while growing up.
