She has answered you already. When someone takes a stance and defend it, let go of the need to change it.

That said, as for the topic, having children or not having them can be selfish depending on which party involved and the point of view.

LOL.
The people u just talked about are not facing racism, go back to the lives of bIacks in America 100 years ago, better still, go back to the life of south Africans 40 years ago, that's where u see ràcîsm.
U should appIy ur bràîn instead of making a beer parlor taIk.
Those who face ràcîsm in America today know what it is, George Floyd is a good example, u may become another George Floyd before u ever Iay ur hands on the dollars u are taIking about.
yen yen yen

The man who killed George was apprehended and jailed. Where are the killers of Deborah Samuel Yakubu who flogged her and burnt her body to ashes in live video? During the 2023 elections, Nigerians flogged fellow Nigerians simply because they wanted to vote.

A crude and ugly tribalist is crying about racism! Go to hell!

BTW, the Black people who should complain about racism should be only African Americans as they were taken to the US AGAINST THEIR WILL. Every other black person got there via an airplane WILLINGLY and knows his or her papa's village.

lol mumu, you think racism is calling you names?
In the US, statistically a white man who dropped out of secondary school will get a job before a black man with a college degree. If you don't know, google it.

Nigeria is difficult but lets not pretend on problem is not a problem just because you want to feel sorry for yourself and exaggerate.
Then make your economy to be prosperous so your people can get good jobs and live prosperous lives. That's what the Chinese did as they couldn't rise to executive positions in the US. They are moving to China in large numbers.

The United States is the White man's land. If you don't like it, build your own United States!

Another big fat lie! If so, how come Blacks in the US and UK have higher living standards than their counterparts in Africa? How come African Americans are the wealthiest set of black people in the world?

Nonsense lies everywhere! This one supports a tribal Tinubu but cries of racism! Imagine a man who doesn't know how to cook lamenting how a chef cooked a meal!!

Don't let leftist American media deceive you.

Trump is doing great. Nigerians with papers are loving it. Of course, we have some Nigerians who are brainwashed by leftist media here that will never see anything good in what Trump is doing even when they or their children will benefit from it.

And on racism, there is racism everywhere in the world, even in Nigeria. Only on this platform, we can see racism between Yoruba and Igbo etc.
Honestly, it amazes and amuses me to see Nigerians lamenting about racism in the West and so-called xenophobia in South Africa when they practice worse in Nigeria! The annoying aspect of their tribalism is the excruciating poverty and multidimensional privation that cloaks the citizenry. Belgians have tribalism. Koreans and Chinese bicker every now and then, but they are wealthy and comfortable. Meanwhile, people wey dey lament about the price of rice will chant tribal slurs from morning to night including the oversabi ones in the abroad.

Liberal in the abroad, tribal demons in Nigeria. Well, maybe it's time the white man learns some of the tribal bigotry they churn out.

A lot of these women should be knowledgeable about contraceptives and be open to abortion. Most importantly, they should know that in today's Nigeria, except for some cultures, getting pregnant for a man doesn't mean he will marry you.

Say no to wedlock. Any man who wants to fertilise your ovum MUST marry you FIRST. That traditional wedding to certify the union must be conducted.

Women want to trap men with pregnancy, when the man see their games and play ahead of them they throw in the victim card.
One want to tried that nonsense with me late last year.
Relationship started last week of September, in Just 3 weeks she's has talk marriage than a marriage talkshow. She has forwarded 100s social media wedding reels and post to me.
Visited and all conversations, marriage must find way inside. We clicked, she reject protection. I got her morning after pills next morning, she refused to take with 100 excuses.
Number one mistake: having unprotected sex with a woman who has promoted the concept of marriage to you countless times.

A week later, she told me she missed her period... Find go for test let's figure out what it is, she started giving excuses of being busy. I've been on her neck to go for test for good 3 weeks, she refuses with 100s excuses... I just locked up and stop communicating with her.

2 months later, she texted me that she's pregnant, I should come let's go see her parents... I told her congratulations, you're on YOUR OWN. Whatever game you were playing, it's not going to work with me.
Next time, request for a DNA test
Tell her that the fertilised egg will be tested to ascertain if you're responsible for its fertilisation.

The best is to avoid unprotected sex or sex in general with women who are hell bent on getting married simply because both of you are close.

The stadium Akpabio used to deceive Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians.
When it was newly built, it looked so good people started calling him uncommon governor.
Little did we know he was just another fraud
But the stadium is good and well maintained. That is something to give kudos to the political elites in the state.

The rant about the stadium is pointless. The Nest Home was built by a state. The one in Rwanda is a national stadium. Anfield is different from Wembley.

Nigeria is a very dirty country with foul smells, where different pathogenical diseases breed. Gerrard59 and Pansophist know this, but they don't just want to come to term that this country is gone.

A country where darkness is the order of the day? What is 247 electricity that Nigeria can't make available to her citizens? They swear for Nigeria?
To be honest, that is a major problem I have with living in Nigeria - 24/7 electricity. Some solve this with solar energy, but what about heavy industries that need stress free power that is constant regardless of the weather conditions?

What do you say about the Chinese and Indians who are making a kill in some key industries across Nigeria?

There are other West African countries, Eastern African and even Southern African nations. There are some sectors I wouldn't encourage a non-politically connected and non-diabolical person to invest in Nigeria. Nevertheless, for any region within the continent, the major way to boom is via exports. From what I've researched so far, that's how the Indians (mostly them) and Chinese are thriving.

Let's discuss investing outside of Nigeria.

As the saying goes, 'Do not put all your eggs in one basket'...

But it is clear that placing the basket in Nigeria is now much too stressful, and much too risky.

It has become imperative to invest in other countries, programs, that will give real and true ROI, protected from the horrible effects of inflation and devaluation, basically keeping one's wealth protected and preserved.
Real sector investments or financial instruments investments?
TravelRe: AIR PEACE Airline Is A DISGRACE!! Cancellation And Pathethic Customer Service by Gerrard59(m): 2:30am On Mar 25, 2025
BlueStripper:
Airpeace flies to Gatwick not Heathrow Airport.

Unplanned flight cancellation is an aviation challenge and most times it is for the best interest of the passengers. Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians are cursed. Every little thing we badmouth our country, make posts and videos to damage the reputation of this country. Lufthansa lost my baggage in transit for over 1 month and heaven did not fall. When they brought back my bags, I was already in Nigeria. I had to buy new clothes at Market Street, Manchester. I repeat and dryclean just to get going. I have arrived in Frankfurt twice and there is a strike and aircrafts are grounded. Did we sue Lufthansa or petition the Government of Germany? Enough of your terrible attitudes and show of unpatriotism! Fly British Airways and leave Air Peace alone!!!!! huh You lost a customer bla bla bla. Get lost!
To be fair to the poster, Air Peace is notorious for serial cancellations and general incompetence considering it is the country's premier air carrier. The fire incident at Heathrow surely affected its operations, but cancellation issues with the airline no be today. E don tey.

You lots who live in the UK and wipe butts for living (bluntly like Kemi Badenoch) are always found of projecting your insecurities using Nigeria's unfortunate but temporary developmental limitations. You come back with your street lingo "Innit" and litter our streets with your fake life of Eldorado somewhere in your feeble mind but physically located in Europe. Meanwhile you sell tickets at the train station, Newspapers, Uber drivers or work as mere cleaners. You clean a seniors butt and wipe his or her nose for the " British Pound". But to take care of your Mother, Father, Brother or Sister who is sick in Nigeria is like a punishment to you. The moment you arrive Heathrow Airport, you see our people littered everywhere doing jobs that they will NEVER DO IN NIGERIA. If you ask, 80% will say 'I did it for my children ". Okay fine, you did it for your children, oya where are they now? They are gang leaders in Peckham, thieves in Westminster, lesbians and gays.Such a shame.
Interesting post you have here. So, why can't these people return to Nigeria with the savings they have had? Say sell their mortgaged property and move to say Ekiti or Ebonyi to live a much more dignified life? And how come most have their children into theft and homo activities rather than at Imperial College or AstraZeneca? Let's not forget that there are many Black Brits of Nigerian ancestry scattered across top firms and industries in the UK. For instance, the Economist West Africa's correspondent, a Brit of Nigerian ancestry, studied at Cambridge.

Hello captainbangz and Gerrard59,

I am experiencing a similar problem with my JAMB profile. In my case, my name appears as Ajala Philips Favour on all my other documents, except for my JAMB record, which lists it as Ajala Favour P. Unfortunately, this discrepancy is now reflected on my BSc certificate, creating a significant challenge for me. It is particularly frustrating because it may hinder my chances of pursuing a master's program or other opportunities. I have been trying to correct this issue, that is, applied for correction of name for over a year, yet I have received no response from JAMB. This has been extremely frustrating. I am so scared that I might miss out on opportunities if this is not corrected as soon as possible. Please, is there any way to resolve this? I would really appreciate any advice from captainbangz on how you successfully made this correction.

PS. Ajala Philips Favour is not my real name; I used this to drive my problem
If you could, go to JAMB office in your state to push the case swiftly. Also, search on Google for similar issues. Sorry, e don tey I write JAMB.

Funny I see more young single mothers. As in, really young girls with babies and no husband or present father. So they are running the scam on the young girls, but come online to act like they give these girls silver and gold.
Other than those whose husbands/fathers got killed due to the incessant security issues in the country, the bold is terrible in the long run. We should and can do better.

I am against a lady having children before marriage. The risks are too high.

IVF is #5 million now in Naija.
$40,000 in California 😭😭😭 Imagine spending on IVF and these babies turn around to disregard & disrespect you in near future
People should focus on having fewer children, train them properly and hands off. You cannot do more than the necessary. The problem lies with placing so much expectations on the children or have them as retirement benefits.

Based on your California figure, I have read a lot about how career women in the New York spend a lot on IVF to no avail. The next decade will see a lot of childless and child-free couples and individuals. Interesting times to be in.

Why would you even consider a 36 year old for anything?

Aha! Are you cursed or something? Are you suffering from inferiority complex so tey you cant see younger girls, younger pussies below the age of 30 around you? Which kain of rubbish and foolishness is that? P.S. I am not even talking about infertility. But the fact that a 36year is who you are considering for marriage screams inferiority complex

Fvck you mehn
Nairalanders no get joy!!! grin grin

To be fair though, I can understand his angle because women in his age bracket are on the same mental scope as him. Being with a lady in her early 20s or even mid 20s will be a hard nut to crack in terms of discussions, future plans and general life. Marriage goes beyond pleasure, but day-to-day conversations. This is feasible for a 40 year old man with a 36 year old woman rather than with a 25 year old lady.

Guy be careful ooo if children is among your priorities in marriage... Them plenty for my area ooo.. about 6 of them... they all bullshit relationships faced money making and found the monies , not through runs oo... Real hardwork... Now they are not so attractive for young men to marry, so they all married failed men...

Failed men, as we call them here are men who have tried and tried to make it and failed to make it.. they may still b very good men, but in terms of financial resources, they have failed and are now quite old ... Usually about 40+... These ladies married them, infact made the marriage work... They men are handsome, gentle, and faithful,... Problem b say.. all the 6 ladies no fit born...

One is now 43 working in access bank.. married a 35 year old very handsome failed tailor guy, quite tall and loayal to her..

One is a surveyor, owns her own office ND also a big and good jewelry store... Married a secondary skl very handsome gentle tall teacher it's been 3 years den no born... Sh even bought the guy a car..

Another is a. Guy who is young like 35, handsome can hold his own , but long throat if marrying good working class lady made him marry a 39 year old lady who is a doctor in a state hospital, they live an elite life.. but it's been 7 years.. no pikin..

Another is a 4p year old farmer, sh delved into at say age 27, built her poultry farm to one of the biggest in my local government, sh get over 80crates of eggs per day..sh has buses for her business, ride a clean Toyota Corolla car, built her parents house and have several workers.. hardworking, independent, but sh realize late sh needed marriage also...now sh married another failed guy who failed to secure permanent staff status from a marketing possible at fcmb..the guy is frustrated...they are now 4years,no child....

Another is a primary skl male teacher who went for a lady who is 38, sh works for a federal university as non teaching staff and can hold her own and have access to good loan... They are 4 years them never born...

All these I listed , believe me, it's not concocted.. they all live in my neighborhood... Plz be careful my man... We are Africans ND like children...

If we as men now start to reject those old ladies, there will b awakening of concern to get married on time.. but if we keep taking them in cuz eventually they made money, we keep encouraging more to toll their paths..
I appreciate how detailed your post is.

Thank you.

Apparently, some of our men are open to Dual Income, No Kids because of financial reasons.

Interesting stuff....

When I first came to Chile, meat was basically off-limits. It’s so expensive here. The amount of money that could buy one kilo of meat would easily get you 3 to 5 kilos of chicken and honestly, I’ve never really been a fan of chicken. So after the first two weeks of eating meat, I had to let it go.But then… I discovered a hack! I started asking the butcher for bones and these weren’t just bare bones. They used to come with a surprising amount of meat still on them. That’s how I kept eating meat without breaking the bank! 😄I’ll never forget the first time I got a proper job and received my first salary. I went straight to the market and bought 10 kilos of meat. I was eating meat every single day, like I was making up for lost time, until I eventually got tired of it. 😂
This is intriguing considering Chile is close to three major beef producing nations - Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

I am curious, what is your opinion on the DRC leaders changing focus to Washington from Beijing? Recently, the president offered the US its minerals in exchange for peace mediation with Rwanda. Now, a Chinese company was refused acquisition rights in a cobalt mine even though the private firms involved agreed amongst themselves. Do you think China should be more assertive in protecting its investments and deals with countries? Some say this will stretch the country as the USSR. However, I do think this is an Achilles heel the West especially the US will take advantage of. As it is, going forward, deals by Chinese companies in the DRC will become tougher to execute and more could be revoked.

Education in Japan is expensive compared to Europe?

Mate, do you know how much school fees are in National Universities per annum ; 600,000 yen/6,000 ~ 7,000 dollars.
Why do you think Vietnamese, Indonesians, thais, nepalese, indians, sri lankans and the entire South East Asia troupe to Japan ?
Recently Even Latinos and Mexicans, Brazilians have also discovered Japan
You think every foreigner studying in Japan is on scholarship?
One of the reasons I came here is because the tuition fees are very affordable at the top universities compared to the rest of the developed world. Although things are gradually changing, the tuition fees were the same for both foreigners and Japanese nationals. So, it is funny when some say the fees are high. In those European nations with low fees, the work visa possibility is almost zero or very difficult to get one after school. But anyone who can speak Japanese as a graduate student will get a job in the chose field. That is a hill I will die on.
