https://www.nairaland.com/7496716/what-exactly-does-one-enjoy I am curious o, those who said you can enjoy Nigeria when there is money, do you still hold that view? Remember, there are other black-dominated countries where fuel scarcity is non-existent. So, the notion of being where people who look like you doesn't hold. |
TheGift:They can, but not on that visa. What is that, if not modern slavery. Then stay in your country. Don't go elsewhere! |
Good. Rules are rules. These are some of the reasons many countries with low fertility rates in Asia are wary of Africans. Thais go there, work, learn and move back to Thailand. Vietnamese do the same. Even Filipinos follow the laid-down rules. Rules are rules. Follow them accordingly. |
Focusmind:And they get the best jobs because the high paying jobs are math based. Think oil workers, tech, high finance and even sales. The reason for my signature. |
Focusmind:This is a better summary. But I am inclined to say that those who study math-based courses are better positioned to get good jobs faster than those who don't. Anyone can develop those attributes you mentioned with relative ease, but not so for learning mathematical skills after tertiary education. |
stampo:So, why not mention them? Everyone is here to learn. |
Hassanmaye:Computer Science is not about MS Word o. It is data structures and mathematics. It is not by knowing MS Word a Comp Sci grad would get a job. It is the ability to know data structures and algorithms that matter. The alternatives to Comp Sci are Physics and Mathematics. |
System202:The money in agriculture is in the processing or the exports of certain cash crops. No processing? No money. No exports? No money. |
If you want a high-paying job regardless of the industry, study a math-based course. The more calculations and numbers a course has, the higher its chances of being lucrative. Also, if you plan to relocate from Nigeria, the math-based course gets more job opportunities and funding. |
emanobis:To be fair, their chances are equal in getting a job in an oil company. The Pet Engr person even has more opportunities in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry compared to the Geology individual. However, Elect/Elect is better than both courses. |
Ndubuisipaul1:They should go into front end engineering. How come I know these things, but they don't? ![]() |
Kuniennam:I have no stake in this, but I find it very distasteful that a woman I want to marry does not trust me in a project that concerns both of us and would benefit us. Obviously, I cannot advise you what to do, but if I were you, I know what to do. |
YouAreNobody:https://www.nairaland.com/7225545/why-peter-obi-step-down You have not stated anything different from the people who argued with me in the above thread. I would stake all my life's savings on Tinubu to win a free and fair election if conducted any day and any time in Nigeria. |

racerve:Yes. Who did you think would have won? Peter Obi? ![]() |
Litmus:But you are residing in the United States enjoying quality infrastructure but recommend jumping across, even though someone on the first page suggested laying a shipping container. Apparently, even those in the abroad aren't any different. You're no different from freed slaves who wrecked Liberia. Tomorrow, should you join APC, people would wonder what went wrong. |
There is a limit to blaming the white man or Chinese man, as some do these days, for Africa's woes. We just have a fundamental problem somewhere and somehow. |
erico2k2:That person is an APC miscreant. Pay no attention. |
YouAreNobody:That is not true. Organise an election today and Tinubu would win fair and square. You need to understand Nigeria for what it is, rather than what you think it should be. |
erico2k2:And one does not see what the money is used for o So, the tale about lower taxes as the reason to enjoy Nigeria compared to the abroad is null and void. |
EreluRoz:It is funny how you think my criticism would do anything in this matter. "Faith has had it", you no read that part? ![]() |
IbeOkehie:I think so far in Nigeria, only the Lagos state government and maybe Abuja City Council charge property taxes in a way. Other states don't charge the same and IF they do, it is a one-time stuff. The thread in the link above proves you right. Where are those folks who argued with you in the UK thread sef? That said, the headline and statements by officials of the Lagos state government simply mean the majority of real estate investments in the Lekki axis are null and void and can be demolished at any time. So, every day we read and hear "buy land and build in Lekki blah blah blah", we now know that 80% of the buildings are illegal. Nigerians in the diaspora should take note. |
EreluRoz:I have no business what two adults decided to use their genitals for. Besides, I am a strong advocate for giving head to clean women. So, why criticise a brethren? |
How una dey fvck before bathing dey surprise me o. But yes, I am inclined to believe that married women have odour-free vaginas than single ladies, all things being equal. The hypothesis is that they - to a large extent - have sex with one partner. The sex might not be frequent sef as she could have issued a sex timetable to her husband. She does not put kini kon chemical or soap or spray whatnot there periodically. As the vagina was in January, so would it be in June. Shey na one person dey access am? He would meet it the same way he left it. |
tensazangetsu20:Undergraduate is fair enough since it is largely free. Afterwards, use the degree to find something to do in either South Korea or Japan. China should be the last option if those two fail as the competition is fiercer there. He should not bother to continue life even if one fine Russian woman tempts him. He is a black African, economics first. Any Russian woman wey wan dey with you should agree to leave the country to any of those places I listed. cc: haybhi1 |
The EU opened an inquiry, most likely at the behest of her American masters, to check if the allegations of over-production and subsidises are true of the Chinese EV companies and products. However, the same EU is antsy that China would target its agricultural sector and want it to be separated from any retaliation. Fortunately, China is not a country that can be tossed around or told what to do. China does what is good for the country. Nothing like bombing or ousting its leaders as done elsewhere. Mind you, the EU agricultural industry receives one of the highest degree of subsidies just as its American counterparts. South Americans, literal cousins of Europeans, have been negotiating entry into the EU market for over 20 years to no avail. Yes, elder brother no gree him cousin to sell his agricultural products in his territory. How much more someone he enslave and plundered his resources? However, the EU is investigating China's EV industry, but does not want the Chinese to do the same for its agricultural industry. Masters of Do As I Say, not As I Do. Well, thankfully, not with the Chinese.

IbeOkehie:cc: Kukutenla What do you say about this thread and its headline? ![]() Take it or leave it, no one owns land in Nigeria. |
Treadway:If they practice or support at least half of those factors, how come Southern Nigeria is more prosperous than Northern Nigeria? Groups who practice those factors become prosperous over time. Something must be amiss somewhere. cc: anonimi |
anonimi:There are certain traits an ethnic or racial group or culture should espouse for economic development to thrive seamlessly. Some of which are: - Pragmatism, not dogmatism - Right to inquiry - Right to criticise and to be criticised - Protection of private property - Support for free enterprise - Personal freedoms in most aspects of human existence. - The right to choose Between the Han Chinese and Hausa-Fulani, which group supports/espouses/promotes/practices at least four of those factors? |
