I have originals of the documents, I have never let them out of my sight, and I am just afraid of losing them to the British Embassy. Business, land documents are pretty hefty. Is it important I submit the originals I have?

I have never ever enclosed even a common original bank statement, talkless of land deeds, etc.

Those documents are hard to replace once lost, go back and read the document required in the application form and only submit what the form with the guidance note tells you to submit which is photocopies, and state in the correspondence "i am enclosing photocopies of supporting document as stated in the application form" otherwise you could be turned down for submitting photocopies by those doofus as well as those clueless VAF staffs.
