And when you talk about returns in business, you shouldn't forget to take the amount invested into consideration.

You're very wrong about this. Not only muslims circumcise female children, it was very rampant among various faiths as it was something that had to do with cultures and beliefs rather than with religion.
Enlightenment and current campaigns to see female circumcision as FGM has opened the eyes of muslims and Christians to the extent that Islamic clerics are also telling parents to stop the practice.
Though in Islam, male circumcision is a must, female circumcision is not. And thank God, male circumcision has been proven scientifically that it has a lot of benefits.
Once again, FGM is not an exclusively Muslims thing.
