Joephat: That's why even after 6months of joblessness n counting I still don't regret going to school and studying political science.
If buhari had done dsam it would have saved his political career.
Imagine sending troops to kill somebody in his house and at same time wanting the person to appear in the court.
No wonder, why his headmaster lamented about his dullard n truancy in primary school
Foolish septuagenarian! You shall die Can we just be honest with ourselves in this country for once? We need to stop all these sensationalism. If FG wanted Kanu dead, he would have been dead. They didn't need him dead but incarcerated. We all know that including you. I don't blame Kanu or FG, I blame our useless judiciary. Kanu broke all the conditions attached to his bail, yet our lilly livered judiciary was afraid to issue a rearrest order. Yet, IPOBs were going up and down, running their mouths, issuing threats that if Kanu is rearrested, Nigeria would burn down. If you were the president, you just pretend that all is well. |

We are simply sitting on the crude oil shouting to heaven everyday that "it is our oil" . Only few engage in businesses and office work. |

Mind explaining why some countries are more prosperous than Nigeria? Have very low unemployment rate compared to Nigeria? People gets paid 7 dollars an hour for menial jobs in some countries? Despite the fact that Nigeria has natural resources more than some of these countries, every Nigerian can wait to get out of the country even though you claim that there is corruption everywhere in the world. My brother, corruption pass corruption. Nigeria corruption is untamed. |

I later followed them to their station with many people they arrested on the way. With more series of beatings @ d station, i later called my friends who came to my rescue with bailout fee of 50000 naira. I later regretted alot of things in my life...4rm being a nigeria down to having catarrh. Sars is filled with wicked n evil humanbeings. 50k! This is serious. kidman96: you should all be ashamed of yourselves. if that teachers spends 3 minutes on google he/she will get the answers for themselves. why give it to a child to give to its parents who may be bloody illiterates like that fool who posted on Facebook?
if you want to know why this country is so backwards all you have to do is listen to Nigerians speak and behave... if you listen to an american primary 1 child speak you will see the difference between their educational system and ours, you will know why they are far ahead of us, you will know why Nigeria is a country heading backwards instead of forward. children are meant to learn good virtue and goal getting as young as possible, there are no two ways to that. when you pay thousands to go listen to a motivational speaker speaks what do you thing they speak about? its 'goal getting' you bloody morons. they twist and turn it and make it sound like they are speaking on inspirations from above but all they talk about is setting goals and achieving them and here you have a teacher teaching a primary 1 child goal getting and good virtue which will develop their brains fast and hasting their maturity you fcking illiterates are here criticising the teacher ... this is just a Nigerian syndrome. we are very good are criticising people doing their job, people who have been trained to do their job we tell them how to do it when we have no idea the basics of it. we criticise the police, the military e even criticise foot ball managers and coaches wgen we never stepped a foot onto a football pitch... i remember my days in the secondary school, my teacher gave us an assignment and i told my calssmate that i will tell my mom to help me with it and teach me. my classmate reported me to my class teacher and my class teacher rebuked him, telling him that it was a good thing for my parents to teach me the assignment and help me with it. why cant the stupid mother complaining on facebook teach the child GOOD VIRTUE AND GOAL GETTING? is it ever too early in life to learn these things? no. it develops a child faster in their daily lives and makes them better and more mature than their mates. lets not forget that a teacher can give yoyu an assignment he knows will be very difficult because they want you to make mistakes so they can correct them and make you learn.
And you morons here on Nairanland are quick to criticise the teacher. You made strong arguments but why throwing insults? You lack self restraint. And why do you think that the mother didn't help her kid do the assignment? Because she posted it on the Facebook and criticised it, right? |

These people are hell bent in ensuring that southern Christians are intimidated/eradicated with their intention of establishing sharing law all over the country. The attack on Ipob is an attack on Igbos/Christians because, Igbos are 99.9℅ Christians and Ipob is ibo and ibo is Ipob because they ordered Sit at home order and everybody complied.Forget all these pretence as if the attack is targeted on Ipob only. They are gradually spreading their wings.
Osun state and Kano recently declared public holidays celebrating Islamic whatever whatever in a secular state like Nigeria. They started with Ipob today, tomorrow is another group Once they are done with Igbos, Yorubas will be very easy because half of us are Muslims.. Igbos are those checkmating the northern and Islamic dominance in Nigeria because they are all Christians. They know that Ibos are very stubborn that's why they had to start them, but ibo governors won't read the hand writing on the wall because they are busy struggling to protect their selfish interest(looting). If they succeed in dealing with Ibos, Islamization agenda will become easy to implement but God forbids.
Sharia law is already in 12 states (Don't forget that Nigeria is a secular state). Look at the second picture I attached below. Head slammers are free to cry on my mentions as usual. Out of many problems ravaging Nigeria, false Islamisation agenda is your own headache! Who religion elp? |

Frenchfriez: I just knew that UBA would be part of them. I get 3-4 card maintenance debit alerts monthly. If you call customer care, your credit would finish before they pick it up, be like say them get collabo with telcos. And if you do mistake to visit the banking hall, you would spend no less than an hour before you're attended to, precious time in which you could have made 10x the value of what you're fighting for. A lesson I have learnt, its not every kobo you should fight for, if you wanna live long, let go of some change once in a while. ......at least until govt wakes up to their responsibilities, corruption would remain our friend UBA and First Bank don't joke with N50 monthly maintenance fees, in fact, they would deduct before the month reaches half. Whereas other banks like Sterling, Fidelity banks haven't charged me for ATM card maintenance fees. And if you try to transfer money from your uba account using USSD through your phone, they would deduct nothing less than N10 and the transaction would still be a failed one. |

He simply wanted to force the wife's hand to abandon the first case. Uwabuche, however, pointed out that Ojiekomhan took away their 18-month-old baby from the defendant.
“An Ogba Chief Magistrates’ Court, in Court 4, has even issued a warrant of arrest against him,” the defence counsel said.
He stated that Joy’s arraignment was a ploy by the police to prevent her from appearing in court today to testify as a witness on the child abduction charge against him. |

One of the sureties must be a relative to the defendant, have three years tax certificate payable to the Lagos State government. Both the home and office addresses of the sureties must be verified by the prosecutor.” This bail condition is too much for the offence. For the fact that the judge was told that the husband was already a defendant in another court for child's abduction, she should have seen that the husband was trying to outsmart his wife by getting her locked up so that the case against him can get thrown out if the witness is not available to testify against him. Education › Re: Is It Legal For Teachers To Flog Students In Nigeria? by GetMeRight: 10:51am On Sep 20, 2017 |
PaperLace: Flogging itself has nothing to do with good upbringing _that's to the best of my knowledge as a child who was never flogged, an ex-teacher and a parent.
I don't know if it's LEGAL. It's not allowed in some schools. These days, lots of private schools don't allow it. I never flogged my students, it's not in my hand you'll die. I give punishments (kneel down and likes) or work on their psychology via advices, the later was more effective.
The remaining part of your post are just semantics. abike12: I don't know if it's legal or not but I personally don't support it. Disciplining a child is not just about beating them because you are frustrated or to show seniority, it should be done with intention and communication with the child - you are getting your behind whooped because you did xyz, do you understand why xyz is wrong, do you know if you do xyz you will get your behind whooped again, etc. Then a show of love to reassure the child, that you're not there to hurt them but to make them do better. No teacher gets paid enough to do all this, my child, my responsibility to discipline. Add to the fact that a lot of teachers in Nigeria are frustrated (thank you underpaying government), and it's a recipe for disaster. Your child's cane will be extra because their parents have money. Don't touch my child. If a school feels a child's behavior is unacceptable then expel the child but don't discipline other people's kids. If they can't teach without cane then all of them need to go back to school to learn. Yesterday, 19th Sep. Class teacher wanted to flog my daughter, age 5 in my presence for not reminding her mother about the money for biro she (teacher) gave my daughter the previous day when she (my daughter) couldn't find her biro. I told her to hold on, that may be the fault was with her mother and not her (my daughter). That happened around 2pm when I went to the school to bring her younger sister home. The one I'm talking about would still do after school hours lesson. Only for my daughter to come home around 4pm and tell me that she had been twice flogged during the school hours. Firstly by her class teacher for not doing assignment she gave them orally (to find out the meaning of COMPULSORY), that was according to the class teacher when I asked this morning. Secondly by the husband of the proprietress, for letting her backpack hooked the writing board (they claimed that writing board fell). If I had not interfered, she would have been flogged the third time in a day! The same teacher collected her biscuit money, N20 to pay for the biro she told me about. The teacher didn't tell me this yesterday. My daughter told me when she came back from the school. Of course, I confronted the teacher, she told me different narration. She claimed she collected N10 for rubber band and returned N10 to her. My daughter wouldn't confirm nor deny collecting money in front of her teacher. You know now, teachers are little gods to pupils. The teacher lied. I took my time to lecture her the effects of flogging pupils in learning environments. It is counter productive. It is archaic and not for modern method of learning. It makes pupils hate school, adults and learning. I still get to lecture the "proprietor" tomorrow. My wife wanted me to take them to another school this morning based on my previous findings about the new school and what we discussed yesterday concerning the latest incident and the ones in the past. She came home with high body temperature yesterday and woke up this morning with the same high temperature. May be it was because of beating or malaria, I don't know. Now, she's taking anti malaria drug and paracetamol. But I changed my mind this morning, still want to observe and give the school a little time to adjust. |
