Litmus: I see myself as Nigerian, I detest the rest of Africa. We need more Nigerians like you. As a Ghanaian, I would hate to be lumped together with Nigerians. Your infamous reputation of a grossly-overpopulated nation that oozes out your borders like a plague, spreading across the world as scammers, drug dealers, prostitutes, and kidnappers isn't something Ghanaians and indeed other Africans want to be associated with. If Africa relies upon Nigerians for leadership and vision. Africa would be doomed, But thankfully we still have Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya to lead the continent to a better future. |

systemz: So what makes u not to return since, are ur limps cut off or road and airspace to Accra blocked? My business here is not done so I cannot go back yet. It's the same with Nigerians in countries even poorer than Nigeria like India or Cambodia, they're there to make money not because those places are better. |

I am a Ghanaian originally from Cape Coast, but temporarily living in Lagos for business. I categorically deny this ranking! Lagos cannot be just number 3, it has to be the worst. I can't imagine how another city could possibly be less liveable than this Lagos. I pray to God that I can return to Accra soon. 3 Likes |

CrushX: Of course, what I want is most likely different from what I'll actually get. The Bible decrees that we be "fruitful and multiply," meaning that we must have at least 4 children (2 per parent) and 2 of each gender. Anything less doesn't qualify as "multiply". So I consider it an important duty as a Christian to fulfill that commandment. |

I want at least 2 of each gender. But ideally, I want 22 children in all. |

babe_online: I am in Lagos temporarily for business. Leaving it just because of the fact that I can't stand the country would be too costly. A car is ALWAYS an asset. It doesn't matter if it incurs expense or whatnot. It's not an liability. You simply don't know what those two words mean. Maybe if you're smart enough, you'll find out why by looking at a dictionary. But from the looks of it, even after going through the dictionary you'll still be convinced that you were right. |

madridsta007: . I do remember. But isn't it telling, that the energy supplier Nigeria suffers blackouts while the energy importer doesn't? What does that tell you about competency of the respective governments?
Your business people come to Ghana because they see higher growth here in Ghana than in Nigeria. Or else they would have invested more in Nigeria.
Unfortunately I am currently staying in Lagos because of work and that's why I am on Nairaland. When I'm back at Accra, I'll never be on here again, that's for sure. I pray to God that I get sent back to Ghana soon. Can't stand living here. 3 Likes |

damosky12: Hi, I'm glad that you want harmony between the nations. So do I. Nations, especially fellow African nations should cooperate. But seriously, though, to say that Nigeria is better than Ghana is really deceiving yourself. I'm from Cape Coast and lived in Accra before living now in Lagos for work. And I can't for the life of me see how Nigeria is better than Ghana in terms of a place to live, a place to raise children, etc. If Nigerians are so arrogant and don't want to learn from other more successful countries, it's Nigeria's loss. 3 Likes |

Pathetic Nigerians. You know you can't beat us fair and square so you resort to cheating. Unfortunately, you can't cheat in the competition of which country is better for its citizens as a model of good governance to all Africa. In this competition, Ghana beats Nigeria easily. Ghana may not be as populated as the self-proclaimed giant of Africa, but we are more civilised and have a brighter future. We certainly don't have the reputation as the land of scammers and the land of power outages. After all, it was Ghana who first gained independence from the British, and since then all other African countries chose to follow us. Ghana is the leader, and Nigeria, like all other African countries, must be a follower. That's just how things are ordered. There is no other way. 15 Likes |

dominique: Is it not common sense? Is North Africa not part of the African continent, the continent of blacks? Don't today's North Africans speak Arabic, a language from Arabia in Asia? Can't you simply connect the dots? Also, it is well-known that the ancient Egyptians were black, look at the nose and facial feature of the Sphinx, for example. And Egypt is the northeast corner of Africa, and so if Egypt was black then Morocco to Libya also must be black because how else did the Arabians get to those places without going through Egypt? Stop believing what the whites and Arabs have told you. Africa is still being colonized by Africans as long as those Arabs are in control of the North African countries. Liberation is not complete until Cairo, Tripoli, Algiers, Casablanca and other cities look like Accra, Lagos, Kinshasa, and Nairobi. |

Dan_de_Numeruno: No, the indigenes of North Africa from Morocco to Egypt are originally black. The Arabians are invaders, hence they are Arabians not Africans. I know my facts, but it is you who have been brainwashed by whites. 1 Like |

Look at Algeria and Morocco, they probably just picked the most European-looking girls in their country just so they can show the world their countries are not black. Well, the indigenes of North Africa are black, so those inferior-complex-ridden Algerians and Moroccans should just go back to Europe where they belong. Africa is for Africans only! 1 Like |

babe_online: Ok I have to clarify. I'm saying all this stuff against Nigerians in jest only. Jeez I live in Lagos, so I don't hate Nigeria that much, but dowjones is right, you're mistaking the definition for the word "liability". |
Celebrities / Re: Billionaires Who Drive Cheap Cars by ghananotnaija(m): 5:02pm On Apr 18, 2013 |
Originalsly: Oga Ignorant...read between the lines...the car is a liability because money has to be spent to operate and maintain it and it is not being used as a taxi to replace money spent on it. @Op...interesting post... hopefully would open some eyes. Pic for Warren Buffet's car is a Lincoln Continental ...not Cadillac. Do you even know what a liability is? Go buy a dictionary if you can afford it! It's an asset because you can sell it for money. A liability is a debt obligation. |

Rossikk: Your comments about Washington and Detroit betrays your ignorance lol. Washington is one of the largest metro areas in the US. Its economy is booming compared to the rest of the country, with jobs in all sectors save manufacturing. Detroit on the other hand is an economically deadzone... So Washington is not at all a white elephant like Abuja. You go around the world and I'm sure more people know of Accra than of Abuja. Having been to both cities, I can say that Accra is much more vibrant than Abuja, and more important in the world stage. Ghana is developping well and is currently the envy of West Africa. Soon, it will leave the rest of the continent in the dust. I pray everyday that I get assigned back to Accra. Living in Lagos is just too much. 2 Likes |

Why are there so many white people there in your picture acting like they own the place? Abuja is built for the whites and the rich blacks, but excludes the common Nigerian. Ghana, on the other hand, offers automatic citizenship for every black American. See the difference? Ghana is fighting for our race, and we know which side Nigeria is on. It's still a colony of the whites. 2 Likes |

There's a reason why Abuja isn't a mess like Lagos or Ibadan: it's a white elephant with no real economic opportunities for the common person! It's a disgrace! The government of Nigeria needs to go to Accra to learn how to balance economic activity with the aesthetics of a modern city. Abuja was made in the image of other failed planned capital cities like Brasilia, Canberra, Dodoma, Yaounde, kind of like those empty ghost cities the Chinese are building in the desert. What a waste of money. But unfortunately for Nigeria, Abuja will soon be inside Bokoharamland, and will no longer be accessible to even the government. 2 Likes |

It's sad that you resort to population size. Nigerians can't stop popping out babies that they can't afford to feed or educate so that makes Nigeria better? If that's the case, then India has a bigger GDP than Switzerland, do you say India is more developed than Switzerland? Rossikk: |
