Well, regardless of intention, good actions should be encouraged. 1 carton of Indomie is better than 0 carton of Indomie.

dipotepede: Happy New Year in advance!

I was in India for the summer and I realize a majority of Indians (a similar market to Nigeria) go for Samsung S series phones as opposed to Chinese counterpart because

1. The presence of Samsung Mobile Company (not Dealership)
2. 0% credit monthly payment for 6-month to buy their Samsung phones
3. They accept trade-in of older phones of any brand for their Samsung S series
4. The promo density in all accessible media

Despite, the incentive, I was never interested in the high-end phone.

Why?

I started using the MTK Chinese phones since January this year and I truly do not see any quality difference to the high-end phones I have been using.

In fact, I was so surprised by the performance of the 35K Naira phone at that time that I replaced my 85K Naira Bold 5 with it.

Till today, I am still using the phone and it refused to go under.

The reasons I love it:

1. The HD screen is superb and size is perfect
2. It is very fast and I can multitask
3. Yeah, its Android 4.1 and has dual sim
4. The camera quality is superb
5. The feel of the phone

I presently use it with a Nokia Lumia but I still prefer the MTK Chinese phone to the Nokia.

I am tired of correcting everyone that sees the phone that it is not HTC- it is a Chinese MTK phone and I am proud of it!

SMH, poverty is a disease. All the same, happy new year to you.

Nigerians and their cheap chinko phones. When will your economy improve enough so that you can afford iPhones, Samsung Galaxy S4s, and BlackBerrys like the rest of the world?

Probably never.

Sent from my Nexus 5.

bong4: "The World will not respect Africa until NIGERIA earns it". I so love this statement.

I pray to God that Mandiba was mistaken about that (he was, after all, human). If he was right, then Africa is to be doomed forever, for I see no hope in this country called Nigeria.

You have no point......the fact that we. Av challenges with our government doesn't make Ghana a better place to be, and relatively, ghana is jst lyk a state in Nigeria.... Go do your findings, some of our lecturers also lecture in prestigious uni in europe , asia and the us . If they aint good u think they will be recognized world wide..... There are so many great minds (graduates of naija uni)....if you av never been here....don't judge from afar.....an eight year old iraqi boy will tell a more concise story of the war in iraq than any smart journalist in the USA who base his/her facts on what the read in papers and hearsay.......

FYI, I live in Nigeria and knows the situation well.

Then you are very foolish to disrespect the country that has been putting food on your table.

Nigeria has oil not because it's such a great country, but because of geologic factors beyond anyone's control.

Not sure if such logic would get through to you though.

What are you doing in Nigeria? Why don't you go to your sane society and make an impact?

I'm here to bring back some of your oil money back to my country. I send as much as I can back to my home in Cape Coast. There are thousands of people like me. When your country has run out of oil and becomes bankrupt and reverts back to the primitive bush and jungle that it once was, at least some of the oil money would be in Ghana, used to develop that great country.

Boll2010: young man I understand your anger.....are you so black to the extent you type in a black font to pass out this gibberish? Don't worry my ghana friend.......if you say Nigeria is a degenerated nation what I you doing on a nigeria forum? Is this how you people go about with your lawlessness? Fine this is a barbaric act but did you miss where our police are on their trail?......don't tell me this is the most inteligent person in ghana to represent them? Cuz you reek of a semi-cultured brain......if you hate to be part of africa why don't you go and die!

I'm black and I'm proud, unlike you self-loathing skin-bleachers who worship anyone with lighter skins, that even Asians and Arabs are treated like royalty in your country.

I'm not ashamed that Ghana a part of Africa. I'm ashamed that Africa has your cesspool of a country in it. Nigeria is a malignant tumour on the continent. Before we talk of removing it completely, we need to contain your depravity to your own borders to prevent metastasis to other regions of the continent.

Last time I've checked, South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe have all become sick of Nigerians migrating their and bringing with them their evil ways.

Cos you sound lyk u av a perfect educational system...... Non of ur unversities appear on the world uni ranking.....atleast Makerere of uganda was ranked 719 as of last year and yet dem no dey make noise....... Keep ur unis..
am proud of our edu system , though I agree it has issues, but , trust me, the kind of nigerian uni I attend offers u abundant human and material resource ( including a very cheap and accesible internet, e-library)
Nb: learning is not limited to the four walls of classroom...no matter the case....Nigerian unis will continue to produce great minds .....

#Ghana must go

"Nigeria" and "great minds" and "renowned scientists" don't go together. Cognitive dissonance detected.

I'm not saying Ghana's are the best, if you have the money, go to US, UK or even India. But still Ghana is better than Nigeria no matter the rankings. So what we never produced a Chinua Achebe? We have a more civlised, functioning, and sane society and I'd rather have that than someone from my country winning an subjective Nobel literature award any day.
Crime / Re: Update On The Alleged Female Pepper Thieves by ghananotnaija(m): 5:03pm On Dec 09, 2013
Nigerians are truly sick and wicked. You people reason that since there are bigger thiefs that are not caught or pursued, that theft on a much smaller scale is okay. You use the same logic to defend/justify the scams that have become a symbol for your cesspool of a country.

If anything, there should be more brutal acts of vigilantism in Nigeria, so that whenever someone steals or robs or kidnaps, s/he would shudder at the possible consequences.

Shame on Africa for having such a degenerate nation in its midst.
Education / Re: ASUU Members Disrupt Lecture At UNIBEN (Pictures) by ghananotnaija(m): 4:48pm On Dec 09, 2013
Nigerian students: the universities in your country are really bad and their degrees don't mean much at all. They're not worth going.

If you had the money, you would've already gone to the West (US or UK) to study.

If you don't have money for that, consider going to Ukraine or India.

If even those places are beyond reach, go to Ghana, we have much better schools than Nigeria and we attract many talented Nigerian students. Who knows, you might even learn from Ghana how a civilised society functions, so that when you return to Nigeria (sorry, you cannot stay in Ghana after graduation), you may contribute to the development of your backward land.

Nigerians are too funny. LMFAO. You guys sound like those hustlers praying "I must be a multimillionaire. I must be rich." I don't know if you must, but it sure looks unlikely.

I may be a Ghana fan, but even I don't see Ghana winning the WC next year. Nigeria? Heck, I don't even see you guys past the group stage. Bosnia will take care of you.

Nigerians, go and laugh today. But it will be Ghana who will have the final laugh, when the Black Stars emerge from group stage with Germany, while the Super Chickens fall to both Bosnia and Iran, talkless of Argentina. Then you will have no choice but to acknowledge that Ghana was, is, and always will be the No.1 team in Africa.

I don't care what the other countries are, but I want Ghana and Nigeria in the same group. This way, we'll settle which team is the best in Africa once and for all. (Hint: It's not Nigeria.)

I never doubted that we would make it to Brazil, but I was hoping we could humiliate those gypsies in their own capital so it was pretty disappointing.

Can't trash talk the Nigerians anymore when the Black Stars fail to deliver. It'll be a long wait before World Cup.

Sports / Re: Ethiopia's Coach Confident As They Arrive In Calabar by ghananotnaija(m): 6:20am On Nov 15, 2013
Calabar is a small, frontier city isolated from the rest of Nigeria. Attendance will be minimal. Home field advantage will also be minimal.
Politics / Re: Sanusi To Lecture In France After CBN Tenure by ghananotnaija(m): 6:07am On Nov 15, 2013
Nigerians are such patriots. I'm sure Mr Sanusi has exhausted all his options to improve his country with his brilliance and expertise. But since Nigeria is so economically well-off and has no need for even such a talent as Mr Sanusi, he's off to France.

WHAT INJUSTICE! Nigerians are SUCH AN ASSET to a country! Why would any country be wary of Nigerians? Such nonsense. I mean look at their homeland, Nigeria, where 170 million of them live. It's so well-run! It's economy is booming and prosperous, and not just for the rich, for everyone there are plenty of great opportunities to develop one's capabilities and interest! Its people are educated, disciplined, and principled. Its people elect a government that is clean and efficient. Its cities gleaming and delightful to live in.

Oh wait, Nigeria isn't any of those things.
