We are not Chinese, Europeans, or Americans. Generally, the average African lacks both the capital and the expertise needed to invest and run a business to take advantage of the opportunities in our countries. Those expatriates that arrive in Africa are not the average citizens of their countries either, but rather the more entrepreneurial ones with capital and experience or expertise.
