Culture / Re: 10 Things Ghanaians Know About Nigerians by ghananotnaija(m): 6:24pm On Jul 18, 2013 |
Ghanaians also know that no matter how "smart" or how "rich" or how much swagger Nigerians have, they can't run a country if their lives depended on it. Just look at Nigeria. It's a cesspool if I've ever seen one! As an African, I'm embarrassed that Nigeria is an African country. 1 Like |

People! Stop bashing each other. I think we can all agree that Nigeria is a cancerous growth on the continent of Africa. If we don't keep Nigerians inside their borders, if we don't stop the cancer from spreading to other organs, the whole continent will be in trouble. Look at what Nigerians did to their own country. They will do much worse to other African countries. With that said, violence and blind hatred is not the answer. I don't think the individual Nigerian is evil or criminal. But when they are amassing together, there's no limit to the evil and depravity. 4 Likes |

Please no common currency with Nigeria involved. Nigeria will single-handedly bankrupt the entire West Africa. Keep Nigerian incompetence inside Nigerian borders. |

solomon111: Wtf are you saying? Oh please, Nigeria is the biggest embarrassment to the African continent. You're the largest oil producer in Africa, but look at your country, it's a huge mess and poor as dirt. Ghana and Kenya don't have all that oil and are still doing better. Nigeria is the largest growing market in Africa ONLY because it has the most people. |

Emzybrown: wtf gej should quickly deploy military men to invade that shit hole country kenya who do they think they are?? In most of the world, Kenya is more highly regarded and considered more important in Africa than Nigeria. So in a battle of words, people will naturally believe the Kenyan. After all, 419 scams came from Nigeria not Kenya. |

PAGAN 9JA: It is you who are brainwashed. Jesus was black. The Jews of the Bible were black. The land of Canaan was Northeast Africa, because Canaan was the descendent of Ham. Get YOUR facts straight. Christianity is the original religion of Africa. SAY NO TO PAGANISM. |

He has 22 kids, but the government only pay $7000 a month? How is that enough for the children to live on? I suspect it is racism. If the kids are white, the government would probably spend $100k per month. Where is Rev. Al Shaprton and Rev. Jesse Jackson? Where is human rights in that country? |

This can't be real. White people cannot survive in Africa without covering their skin. Tell me if this little white kid was unclad like that in real life, how could she not have already died from skin cancer? |

Cusubaba: Fuckoff u low minded Ghanaian or u can as well kiss ur mother a.s.s. Hahahaha.... How can u compare ant with elephant. FIFA Confederations Cup is for Champions like Nigeria, Spain, not for minnors like Ghana Black Juju Stars who have not won anything for past 32 years. Village bastard. You think Nigeria is a major team? You must be joking! Mentioning Nigeria in the same sentence as Spain and Brazil is ridiculous! Ghana could at least be competitive with those teams, but Nigeria? The Little Eaglets will be crushed like insects. The world will think that Nigeria is the best Africa has to offer, but in fact there are better teams like Ghana. |

texaco1: We are not Chinese, Europeans, or Americans. Generally, the average African lacks both the capital and the expertise needed to invest and run a business to take advantage of the opportunities in our countries. Those expatriates that arrive in Africa are not the average citizens of their countries either, but rather the more entrepreneurial ones with capital and experience or expertise. |

Lovelyboy007: all nigeria that is living in abroad should come home, before those Akata kill you people finish No, Africans in the US should all own guns and be able to defend themselves. We're not easily threatened. We need to show all Americans, akatas, whites, Asians, Latinos, etc, that we're not a group to be messed with. I think the perception in the states is that African immigrants are easy targets who will not fight back. Next time, someone who tries to rob an African needs to be taught an unforgettable lesson. |

Team Nigeria, you're representing all Africa in this Confederations Cup. I know you'll embarrass us, but try not to embarrass us too much in front of the world. |

biafranqueen: I promise you I am not trying to discourage you but America is all about connections just like Nigeria most foreigners in America doctors lawyers professionals live pay check to pay check. Most people are paying expensive house notes, car notes, average student loan is $1,000 and up a month. Check stats 90% of the middle class live on credit. If you're a professional, and you're living paycheck to paycheck, you're spending too much money, and you're not very smart and not destined to make it. And for connections, yes, I'm sure they are very important, but still someone can come from poor backgrounds in the US and make it by hard work and smarts alone. In Africa, not so much. Palm Oil farming Coco farming agriculture period is where the money is! Africa is feeding the world. Ghana was named the fastest growing economy in the world. It is good to want to come here but every foreigner in America is dreaming of home. Please see how you can focus on creating wealth in Ghana what goes up must come down Africa is on the way up. You can be a part of the fastest growing economy. We have to crawl before we walk start small and position yourself. Ghana has a thriving middle class. I know you can make it happen shine your eyes your millions is close to you! Yes, but for the average person, it's all but impossible to get a piece of that action. 1 Like |

There is a reason even many black cab drivers will not stop for black customers. The victim here learned it the hard way. RIP. Best wishes for his family. |

biafranqueen: I am not complaining I am telling you the facts of life in America. There are so many opportunities in Nigeria and Ghana. My family that has business in both countries are doing way better then any MIDDLE CLASS living in US. I do not aspire to be a middle class as you do I plan to leave a legacy and create an industry and my husband and I are doing just that with Agriculture in Nigeria. The opportunities are far greater in Africa where the industrial revolution has just begun. Have you ever lived in America. No, I've never been to US. You're obviously someone well-connected and from a wealthy background in Nigeria. I consider a middle class life in America, with upward mobility (so a six-figure income plus room for promotion), to be a life highly sought after by the vast majority of Africans. Without going into the remote possibility of becoming a celebrity, an athlete, or a lottery winner, most people without significant savings cannot just go and make millions, you have to either have quite some savings first, or acquire some technology or expertise with which to start your own business. This is the key thing. In Africa, for a person like me with poor parents, acquiring such things would be all but impossible even with a university degree. But in the US, it is possible with hard work, above-average intelligence, and a little good luck. |

Politics / Re: Has Inflation Really Dropped In Nigeria by ghananotnaija(m): 8:55pm On Jun 06, 2013 |
Ghana and Nigeria are the only major countries in our neighbourhood not using CFA Francs, as a result, our currencies and economies lack the stability of an euro-backed currency like the CFA Franc. West Africa should seek to adopt a common currency like the euro to facilitate trade and quell inflation fears in our countries. 1 Like |
