Without the padding cars one will see a gathering of not more than 120 people 'crowd'. Not bad for someone that was elected from a Senatorial district.

Before you start scattering thorns be sure you had prepared your walk-out path.

Olodo we are not running a banana republic,we have a set of laws to govern us.If the APC wants anarchy,we will give them anarchy and in the end guess whom shall be the ultimate loser.Remember this is Buhari's government and no longer that of PDP or GE
I agree with you - this is not a Banana republic under a PMB-Led-Govt. This is why we will not condone a few faceless people altering a rules meant for 109 Representatives with no legal grounds.

Part of the law set is the Senate standing order and how it can be amended. This has been debated, ratified and approved.

And for your information Millions of PDP destroyers cannot pull-down what we fought for. There are options left to our man and we shall continue supporting him.

If PDP and Saraki continue to look for the downfall of Buhari administration through the Senate we will encourage him to support a legitimate Senate brought-in by the known Senate standing rules.

Tomorrow is pregnant.

My advice to the loyal APC Senators:

Please come with your unadulterated Senate standing order passed-down by the 7th Senate and insist on its use at all time.

Please come to plenary as early as possible and stick to your party's direction.

Do not come with Agbada or Babariga.

Under no circumstance should you walk-out of the Chamber for the Traitor.

Have your eyes on the Traitor and not the mace. Any attempt on any of your members 'give-them-hell'.
PoliticsRe: Alleged Forgery Of Senate Standing Rule by Ghandi12: 5:40pm On Jul 27, 2015
No source ; another sign of cowardice and chicanery

petecoolboy:
DETAILS emerged on Sunday that the decision of the leadership of the National Assembly to effect changes in the Senate Standing Orders 2015 (as amended) was in conformity with precedence and the tradition of the Assembly to regulate its own procedure as guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution.
Sources close to the National Assembly
on Sunday said it would be a misnomer to allege forgery in the alterations, as the Rule Book was printed by the management, following the approval for the printing of the new rules ahead of the inauguration.
A source said the process was in conformity with the tradition set in 1999, where the management prepared the rule books for the Senate and the House.
Which national assembly leadership? Saraki, Ikweremadu, the Clerks or David Mark? We all know the authorship of the original rules and details of all amendment to the end of the 7th Senate.

The fact that none of these people is ready to own-up or take responsibility for what happened to the rules between 7th Senate and 8th Senate inaugural sitting confirms evil hands were at work. If they are bold enough to tinker with a standing rules they should be bold enough to face the brunt.

Are you saying the printers of the '2015 forged rules' have the power to insert their own content without being questioned or what?

petecoolboy:
A source said the process was in conformity with the tradition set in 1999, where the management prepared the rule books for the Senate and the House.
The source said what the management did was more or less a draft of the Rule Book and that the new Senate has the power to adopt it entirely or propose further amendments in the course of the session.
According to the source, an officer in one of the Senate standing committees, the leadership was covered by precedent in printing the 2015 orders.
Error! error! The 1999 rules were already in place before the inauguration of 4th Assembly. The rules were prepared at the General Abdusalam organized National Constitutional Conference and not prepared by any NASS leadership. The original draft from NCC was printed as drafted.
Subsequent alterations are all documented; with amendments suggested at plenary, debated and then ratified.

http://www.punchng.com/news/standing-order-used-for-saraki-election-a-fake-say-ex-senators/
It will be suicidal for APC Senators to even debate the 'forged 2015 rules' at all - It does not have any author so is null and void.

APC Senators should come with their unadulterated Standing rules passed down by the last Senate and stick to it from tomorrow.

Callmemike:
Thanks. Now, who makes the rules? The Senators or the Admin Clerks?
All the rules used in the past have been extensively discussed on and off this platform.

The original Senate rules was made by the National Conference in preparation for democratic governance in 1999.

This rules was used (unamended) until the 6th Assembly where some amendments were introduced and approved by the Senate plenary.

The steps to amending any part of the rules were recommended, debated and approved by the Senate plenary.

Successive Senates have been using the passed-down rules and only amending at Senate plenary.

Nobody is owing up to the source of the Senate standing order 2015 and this is why many agree it is forged. It remains the only rules that nobody is bold enough to come to public to claim authorship of.

Once Saraki moves for this action our loyal Senators should make sure he did not finish the statement before he is defaced - afterall he is a 'bandit.

APC loyal Senators must not leave the chamber for the him - in fact they should push-him off the seat.

APC loyal Senators should start their election with the only recognized Senate standing order.

PMP and loyal APC Senators need to be firmer and more resolute.

Saraki's has been using banditry to match forward and the loyal APC Senators are allowing him to lord his 'forged rules' over them.

Wake-up and treat him like a bandit he is.

Stay back in the chamber and 'give-him-hell'.

He would overrule you, use his 'forged rules', and you want to sit down their clasping your hands. If he becomes too difficult put your own man on his seat, push him off and start effecting APC programmes.

Saraki traits are of PDP. For 16 years they have run this country aground - they will do anything to destroy Buhari-Led-APC and it is your duty to protect your you all laboured for.

PDP aim is nothing but to destroy PMB-Led-APC

A Peoples Democratic Party senator from Ekiti South, Abiodun Olujimi, said the issue would be discussed on the floor on Tuesday with a view to condemning a situation whereby “some people would be externalising the affairs of the chamber”

“We will definitely study the report and debate it dispassionately to look at the issues involved but we are going to condemn the idea whereby some people, by their action, would be threatening the legislative immunity by involving outsiders in the internal affairs of the chamber, “ she said
Mrs. Abidun Olujimi there is nothing like legislative immunity in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

For instance Saraki can be investigated, prosecuted and sent to jail if found guilty of any offense in a court.
PoliticsRe: No One More Corrupt Than Amaechi, Wike Warns Buhari by Ghandi12: 8:09am On Jul 27, 2015
I read Wikes submission hoping he would be submitting a formal petition against Amaechi tenure but he never even mention any number or made any sensible allegation.

While people are sending petitions with figures, receipts, vouchers and willing witnesses a state Governor just want people to believe Amaechi is corrupt because he said so.

Wike and PDP used violence and killings during the Governorship campaigns in Rivers State. There was a classic live case on all TV networks where they invaded APC campaign in Okrika and started killing on live TV.

This kind of man should still be under investigation for the alleged killing of 60 people during the campaigns.

If I were Buhari I will give Amaechi a vantage position where he can closely check Wike's recklessness. Wike is brutish and uncivilized - he needs close monitoring.

“I want to state categorically that the investigation into the allegation of forgery at the Senate is still ongoing. We have not concluded it yet, so where did the media get the information that not only has it been concluded but handed over to President Mohammed Buhari.

“The investigation is still ongoing and whenever it is ready, we will make it available to the public. The media report that we have concluded the investigation into the case is false and should be disregarded,” he said.
Public and civil servants who want to retain their jobs should start learning to read the body language of the new Head of States. Many 'small people' will be ignorantly taking a fall for 'big people'.

PoliticsRe: Anti-corruption War: What Do Nigerians Really Want? by Ghandi12: 12:40pm On Jul 26, 2015
Good questions but I hope President Buhari is not being deterred by all these protests and complaints.

Human beings, naturally we love good things but always afraid or reluctant going through the process of achieving them.

God parted the sea the Israelites walked through, He brought fought water and food through Moses they all saw it but when Moses went fought to bring God's commandments to guide their living they turned to other gods.

Our people have been through poor governance and in many cases no governance at all.

I have studied the last 16 years of democratic governance in Nigeria. I have noticed many flashes of individually-invented-genuine intentions at Nation building but I have also observed a monster called Corruption always rearing its ugly head to pull-down or at best slow-down these e efforts.

We are not lacking good and resourceful people but successive leaders have been giving-in to fear hence many have fallen short of Greatness.

Fashola started bringing down people's buildings to return Lagos to its original master plan, Amaechi and Akpabio followed suits and it went viral across states. El-Rufai did the same in FCT and had the whole NASS calling for his obituary. These actions were unthinkable until these people pioneered them.

We want PMB to be unusual, fearless, just and fair in all his actions. We want him push everyone out of their comfort zone if needs be.

We made the right decision in PMB.

Why should we borrow to enrich other Nations while we can do the right things and grow as a Nation.

Attenuating corruption, looting, money laundry, bunkery, and insecurity will miraculously shore-up our treasury.

According to financial reports 10-25% of our national budget has been going to the 469-Membered-NASS since May 1999.

If only PMP can identify this 469-Membered-NASS body as big and deep hole in our treasury. This body should be treated like other social ills.

Former President GEJ should embrace this probe with pride since he has always assured us he has nothing to hide.

This probes, on the contrary, may actually exonerate GEJ of any wrongdoings while in office.

GEJ should concentrate on putting together a defense team on any questions that may arise from his service in office.

GEJ may as well become a renewed hope to Nigerians that like his style if he successfully account for his service without blemishes.

PMP bested GEJ 15 million votes to 12 million votes GEJ should use this opportunity to prove to Nigerians we made a mistake in voting him and PDP out.
PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Sent EFCC After Sakari’s Wife by Ghandi12: 11:15am On Jul 26, 2015
If Saraki believed Tinubu sent EFCC after him he should also retaliate by sending EFCC after Tinubu. Expending energy in public court wont give you victory at the court of law.

There is a petition submitted by an individual from kwara state alleging 'shady things' under Saraki as Kwara Gov.

I have followed similar petitions by Lagosians against Tinubu as the Governor of Lagos state. Tinubu has stood in the dock to defend himself. Saraki it is time to defend yourself.

If Saraki still want one on Tinubu there is an option of sending another petition against his public service as the Lagos Governor.

Justice seems to have been served but 'small people' should learn not to be pawns to 'big people' under a Buhari's administration.

Case adjourned to September 28.
Our Justice system needs to stand up and be identified with the ongoing anti-corruption reform of PMP.

This is a case where all witnesses and evidences are all available on the Judge's table. Justice delayed may become justice denied especially in the case of 'small people'.

The investigators/prosecutors appear to have done their job well but the Judge's adjournment in 3 months dilutes the hard effort of ICPC.

More searchlights should be beamed on how busy and committed Nigerian Judges are for expeditious justice delivery.

• Are they justifying their pay and allowances?
• Do they need capacity enhancement to speed-up their job?
• How does our court system and speed fare compared with advanced Nations?

Nuhu Ribadu showed us how possible crimes and criminals can be be attenuated in Nigeria but he also exposed how the Judiciary are stalling successful delivery of justice.

PMP please note the Judiciary needs a kick early to key into the anti-corruption campaign.

Meanwhile the Clerk of the Senate should learn some lessons and get a good lawyer ahead of time.

Why multiple post.

This might just be a blessing in disguise. For 16 years 469 Nigerians are alleged to have been sharing 10-20% of our national budget.

They fly first class, cloth with Millions, live in Palaces, harass common man wherever they go while their constituencies can barely afford three square meal.

Peace among these people means Billions being denied common man in Maiduguri, Choba, and Ofa. Please lets have the entertainment as long as there will be no sitting allowance, wardrobe allowance and unscrupulous budget allocations of resources to these greedy few.

I see 2 Senates emerging : One led by Saraki and the other led by Lawan.

I see the President having no choice but to continue discharging his duties to all Nigerians. This is an unplanned revolution. Many will kick but the common man will laugh at the rich for the first time in 16 years.

...Well, that much said, i believe APC might be digging its own grave, even IBB confirmed this when he said "those who live in glass houses do not throw stones". Now, why does PDP's Oliseh Metuh, Jonathan's Kinsman Edwin Clark and even recently Governor Ayo Fayose supports Buhari's move? weird isn't it? They know that probing Jonathan's administration may be a booby trap for Buhari and the APC. There is the possiblity that little or nothing tangible will come out of such probe as we have seen in the cases handled by EFCC recently, and even if ithey succeed in recovering stolen funds and arresting alleged corrupt politicians, it might not necessarily have 'direct' links with the Former President. If this is the case, Jonathan automatically becomes a 'political saint' and APC would have helped PDP washed of the dirts that made Nigerians run away from them.
I am not saying that the current administration shouldn't recover stolen funds from the past administration. but being selective will make their genuine efforts futile. Buhari needs to also probe the APC caucus too, i mean his own friends and those who helped him to power. but won't doing this divide the APC even further? The Ball is in his court, he should thread wisely.
FacelessPatriot

GEJ-Led-PDP chose not to probe they got voted out Buhari-Led-APC have chosen to probe. Its hard to know how Buhari's probe will impart on electorate minds.

We cannot have meaningful progress without probity in public service at all levels of Government. Its only normal for Buhari to probe Jonathan the same way it is normal for Wike to probe Amaechi. Buhari does not need to announce it because we already know Jonathan handed over to him.

The people will decide the success or otherwise of APC's method in four years time.

PDP carried their cross so we should allow APC carry theirs too.
